How To: Installing the Exway Aux Pack (Detailed Technical Breakdown)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 сер 2024
- In today's video, we look at how to install the Exway Aux Pack onto the Atlas Pro. The Aux Pack adds an additional 12s6p battery to the already existing 12s4p in the main board, effectively doubling the range, at minimum.
To install the Aux Pack, you need the pack itself, the lid for the Atlas Pro, the rachet strap, and the cable. These should all come in the package when you buy the Aux Pack. Inside the Aux Pack, you'll fid 72 Lishen 2170LA cells (my guess on the LA part). Either way, they're 4000mah Lishens, that match the cells inside the Atlas Pro.
During this video, I take a bunch of voltage measurements at different points in the board to figure out how the system worked, and it was fairly straightforward, with most of the complex stuff happening between the BMS in the board, and the BMS in the Aux Pack. It's not really easy to see what's happening, so I just have to hope it works properly (it sometimes doesn't work perfectly).

Haha I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
⚡⚡ *Awesome video* ⚡⚡
I didn't think a lot about it until I saw the title and had to watch!!
Thanks man! Yeah, there's more to it than meets the eye
I just got my atlas pro 2nd belt with 45 miles on it + an exway wave riot + cloud wheels on wave + a set of ace hydro wheels off a guy on offer up app for only 900$…. I struck treasure
Wow dude talk about lucky! Offerup does hit like that sometimes!
Off-roading range if your legs can handle it (Grass, Dirt, Gravel, Sand) I want to see the lowest the range can be.

Haha sounds like a great test. I was intending to do a real-world range test with it rather than my standard route. Half on road, half off-road, something like that. Otherwise, I'm gonna be riding my loop for many hours
Gave you a thumbs up, even though I’m not interested
Honestly I've been tempted to remove your comments but figuring out what odd comment you're going to leave next is amusing. Thanks for the free view!
Who knows man
very nice thnx
Glad you enjoyed!
Can you plug that auxpack in your board or any other board?
This is a great question. I'm not entirely sure, it's possible that the aux pack needs the communication over the two additional cables in order to enable discharge, but there is at least voltage there at the connector, so it might work. I may be able to try discharging from it, but it's difficult because I don't have any of the huge connectors they use.
@@RBEMotion i think if it works and the cable to connect can be found and used, it might be an option for some people
@@skfunk4550 I agree, I'll ask exway to see if they can maybe make an adapter cable or provide the connector name or something
