    ⚡🤙🏼 *Production board Gear Drive continues to impress,* good reason the DIY guys really like them. 🤙🏼⚡
    Worth mixin up bushing shapes to get a nice setup but the 2 different ones they give have different formulas, high rebound and normal rebound so mixin that can be harder to get right.

      Yeah I'm probably going to play around with it a bit. I have been riding with the defaults so far since this ride, and I've enjoyed them for the most part. It did take some time to get used to DKP again since I hadn't ridden it in a while.

    A trail ride would be awesome

    Nice ride/video🤙🏿. I'm also jealous that you have blue skies and sunshine. How do those DKPs feel on that deck, specifically while going over potholes, turning, and leaning?

      Thank you! Yeah, the day I recorded this was one of the nicer winter days this year. So much rain!
      I've ridden a bit more since this video, and they've done pretty well. I've taken them up to 27mph so far and they only felt a little shaky, albeit that is with the Aux pack installed. Haven't figured out yet if the extra weight makes it more stable or less quite yet. For potholes, they react similar to other DKP's except the reaction is a bit less pronouced due to the larger bushings. For turning and leaning, they are definitely less responsive than others, but when you put more weight into it, they give you plenty of turn!

    Awesome video but bit pissed that you have blue sky. Last time i seen blue ish sky here in GB land was last year for a week😁 Do gear drive allow street wheels to be fitted ?

      Hahaha yaaa the blessing of living in SoCal. To be fair, it has rained quite a lot recently this year and I have not gotten to ride nearly as much as I'd like.
      Unfortunately, no. The gear drive housings are far too large for any street wheel. The smallest I think you could run on these is probably 6 inch sized pneumatic tires, or maybe Trampa Gummies / Boundmotor Slime wheels, if there was an adapter for them.

    Thank you for the video
    Wanted to ask your advice
    I have a standard Atlas PRO 2WD
    I live in a mountainous area where there are many serpentine mountain roads with a slope of 25 degrees to 50 degrees.

    The surface is smooth asphalt. I don't drive off-road.
    I want to increase the acceleration performance when going uphill
    I'm trying to figure out which option will be the most effective for me.
    Will Gear Drive 2WD give it to me? or is it worth buying a kit for an all-wheel drive swap with a belt drive?

    • @RBEMotion
      @RBEMotion  Рік тому

      Hmmm that is a good question. What is your pulley ratio? In my opinion, I would think the 4wd is going to give you the huge boost in performance that you're looking for. The steering will likely perform a bit different, and it's possible your range may change a bit, but you'll definitely have fun with it.
      The 2wd gear drive will likely not make a WORLD of difference when compared to the belt, unless it has a very different ratio.

      @@RBEMotion Thanks for the answer. At the moment I have a standard Atlas PRO 2WD with 160mm wheels.
      To be honest, I don't know what the pulleys are.
      But I also bought a kit for Clowdwheels 120mm and 44T pulleys. Perhaps on Clowdwheels I will get more torque and range?
      I thought about all-wheel drive but found that there are no spare parts for this. Only if you buy the entire drive assembly (together with 160mm wheels) + ESC. This is more than 50% of the cost of the board 😵
      I was hoping that there are parts that can be bought separately.
      The track themselves, 2 motors, motor mounts, belt guards and pulleys with belts.
      But these parts are only available for the original Atlas.

      @RBEMotion  Рік тому

      @@ZHALILOVllDAILY There's a chance you'll get a little more torque with the cloudwheels, but hard to say without knowing the motor pulley size. You'll most likely get more range as well.
      Yeah the AWD is expensive but for some people it may be worth it. It's double the esc, motors, and drives so it kinda makes sense for the higher cost. I think Exway will be looking to offer more separate replacement parts in the future though

    Can you make a video how to oil the gear drives

    • @RBEMotion
      @RBEMotion  Рік тому

      I'll try to go over it in the full review, at least in some short capacity. They seem to be sealed fairly well, but have seeped a little bit.

    How loud is it compared to belt?

    • @RBEMotion
      @RBEMotion  6 місяців тому

      Surprisingly, it is actually quite quiet, I would actually say it is slightly quieter.

    Be wary if you pick up the Meepo Hurricane. I’ve got mine running decent now but it started off with a decent amount off issues out of the box. And I picked up their gear drive. I have some videos on the issues I had too.

    • @RBEMotion
      @RBEMotion  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the heads up. I have heard that people have had issues with it but not been completely versed in those. Are you liking their gear drives?

    • @bleedsblue05esk8
      @bleedsblue05esk8 Рік тому +1

      @@RBEMotion I’m a OneWheel guy who wanted to give a ESkateboard a try and decided to go Meepo so this has been my only board. When it works I love the gear drive. But I can’t compare it to a belt drive. Haven’t had the pleasure to ride a belt drive yet. I like the thought of less maintenance with it.

    • @RBEMotion
      @RBEMotion  Рік тому +1

      @@bleedsblue05esk8 Ah gotcha - that makes sense. Generally, when they aren't broken, gear drives are lower maintenance. You could easily go over 1k miles without doing anything to it on a properly setup gear drive. Hope you enjoy your board experience!

    You should get 4wd so you can ride over grass and gravel better!

    • @RBEMotion

      Haha yeah 4wd is exactly what you want for crazy offroading! I'm looking forward to doing the trail ride with this anyway though

    Can you turn a 2wd into 4wd?

    • @RBEMotion
      @RBEMotion  5 місяців тому

      I believe this would not be too complicated. You would need to purchase a second drivetrain and second ESC. For the power, you should be able to plug straight into the existing extra port at the front, then repair the remote in 4wd mode.
