my main problem with Rises was how Bane was dispatched so quickly. Batman never overcomes him, Catwoman just shows up and shoots him in the Bat-Pod, says a quick one-liner and that's it... Also they turned this huge menacing presence into essentially a lackie for Talia Al Ghul.
Uh Yeah he does overcome him, He breaks Banes mask, he has him completely beaten. It s not like Catwoman killed him just as they were starting the fight.
@@spencermalley10 Exactly. Defeating Bane isn't about killing him - in the same way Bane didn't consider killing Batman "defeating" him. He breaks him in the fight, by breaking his mask and causing him to lash out in pain, and ultimately losing a fight in the first time in his life.

I'm a huge Batman fan, so naturally I love Christopher Nolan's franchise for renewing Batman interest in mainstream media. But I have to say, the Dark Knight Rises was easily my least favorite of the three. My favorite was Batman begins, followed very closely by The Dark Knight.
Same here. Didn't like the 3rd one very much, Mostly because I had a hard time accepting that Batman had thrown in the towel after TDK with only a year in "service" - and Bane's voice was pretty lame imo. But first two movies were pretty awesome.
Rune Kreim Larsen I feel all 3 are great movies BB-Tightest superhero origin story told on film, TDK-Greatest batman movie yet, TDKR-First good superhero movie "threequel" since...Forever (not talking Batman Forever)
Rune Kreim Larsen I respectfully disagree about Batman giving up the cowl after the Dent affair. His body was *wrecked*. However, my biggest problem was that, well...he survived. Batman should have died in that explosion. Batman doesn't get a happy ending, I'm sorry. That's not what the character is about. The only thing that keeps him going is reminding those that would prey on the weak and innocent that there is something much more frightening than them in the shadows. That's his entire purpose. Batman can't be happy so long as there's a world that *needs* a Batman. And until that day comes, he will fight to his last breath. And when that day comes, the Batman will go away. Because he can't change who he is. A world that doesn't need Batman...Batman cannot survive in.
RaptorJesus I disagree with what you say, Bruce's entire character arc in that movie is learning to choose life over death. Bruce has a pseudo-death wish throughout the entire film, not really caring whether he lives or dies, He doesn't fear death, He welcomes it. Him being alive completes his arc, If he died it'd be unbelievably depressing end to the trilogy( not to mention it would completely destroy Alfred) Also, Batman is adaptive, If presented with a world that doesn't need him anymore, He will adapt to survive in it, He will never choose death when he can choose life.

I wasn't a huge fan of Nolan's Batman trilogy, but his films were the opposite of most Marvel films in one specific regard - whereas Marvel usually has great films crap villains, Nolan had great villains in crap films. Heath Ledger's Joker stole that movie and deserved that Oscar, but it was all his performance. Some of the writing was garbage, the plot was overdone, and the 'twists' so obvious that Stevie Wonder could have seen them coming. Tom Hardy's Bane was quietly menacing, he had a confidence and threat that was conveyed so brilliantly. Few actors are that good at acting with their whole body, not just their face and voice. He was very intimidating, and it was the only time I thought "I have no idea how Batman will beat this one". But Batman, as always, "rose from the shadows and made a fist of his pain". A beautiful line that really encapsulates the character.
I recently found your channel, and your songs. They are amazing. In the new year, I will be running the TTRGP Cyberpunk Red in a small home game. I will be using this, and many of your other songs as a soundtrack for the game.

Liked all of his songs once but now as an adult. This is one of the only two I love
Absolutely excellent piece of music. I have decided to make this the Injustice gods among us theme song. It's so epic :) Well done man

When you can go through the game in under 10 hours on hard mode getting most of the collectables, and the only thing to do after the campaign is 1999 mode, it's pretty short.
