Thanks for help with the alphabet order. Will it be an advantage to have an upgrade to choose between alphabet order or your own order? maybe helpful when renaming the banks?

Slightly off subject, but do you know if there is a Windows or Mac program that gives similar functionality to the pa5x user interface? I have a Korg M3 that Korg provided a free downloadable editor that gave me the same functionality as the screen on the instrument. Very handy. Sometimes it's just easier to adjust settings with a mouse and keyboard than on a small screen. Thanks for the great videos!

Thanks. At this time, I am not aware of any computer software for the Pa5x. Maybe in the future, Korg will create an interface.

On many styles, I've noticed the lower keyboard volume, when split, is often very low compared to the upper keyboard. Checking the mixer shows the lower volume is often around 30 while Upper 1 is around 100. On some pads I have to bring it up to around 70 just to hear it...why? lol
some of the styles also default to split but lower is set to off. at least the styles should have the lower volume at a more reasonable starting level and considering the level settings of the Upper(s), IMO even if the lower defaults to off in the style.

Yeah, I have had that same problem. I think they do that so that the Style parts will not be loud enough to overload or distort. I sometimes have to drop all the other accompaniments to make things seem more balanced. This is why I say work on creating a Style library in order to create different variations of that Style so that you can easily access it later when you need it.

Great tips . Thanks. One question : is it possible to midi learn for example the filter with an external controller plugged in via usb, for example korg nanostudio ? Would like to use buttons instead of faders. Thanks.

I don't think so. As far as I know, Korg has not developed an interface for the Pa5x yet. You can control some things on the Pa5x via Midi.

i cant understand what exactly are the UP1 and UP2 and UP3 on the screen ...... what do they refer to?.... some parts of the keyboard?... plse enlighten...thanks...

It stands for Upper Keys 1, Upper Keys 2, and Upper Keys 3. It refers to the sounds that you can put on all the keys that are above the split. When all three buttons are pressed, you can play all three of those sounds at the same time. Or select one of the three, and that sound will be played. If no buttons are selected, then there will be no sounds on the key bed from above the split, including any Midi signal to another device.

Hy...I see everyone touching a knob on the display screen and then turning the jog wheel to change the value...But is it possible to just move the button on the screen to make it + or - changing values ? Thanks.

Yes, you can use the touch screen, but it isn't as fast and accurate. I can toch something with my left hand and use the wheel with my right hand so much faster.

@@jonmicheals621 OK thanks. I saw in the user manual that we can connect controllers via usb. For example nanokontrol. And assign the midi cc. So i could assign filter and enveloppe to knobs. This is cool ! Thanks.

@@ursullavandenbord2322 I knew you could do it via Midi. But thats great that they will allow you to use the USB port. Also, look in the the "User Manual" for the codes of each parameter you can change. It will also help you when going to the "Event Sheet" which you can edit.
      Take care my friend.
