Congratulations of this well done presentation of this terrible piece of history. Thank you for investing in this quality program for all of us to learn and not forget!
On 12/18/2021 my father was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal with other Chinese Americans that fought in WW2. Over 40% of the Chinese that fought in WW2 were not even recognized as US citizens because of the Chinese Exclusion Act.
Thank you for producing this historic record about such a horrific chapter in Los Angeles. We are all aware of past and ongoing violence against people of differing backgrounds, and yet this reminder of something most of us never knew about until your film underscores the necessity of teaching new generations about the levels of hatred in our society and how we can not tolerate such violence. Well done, and thank you.
I've lived in LA for over 50 years and only uncovered this part of history a few years ago. Thank you for bringing this to light CAM and everyone involved. Programming this week has been incredible.
I lived in LA's Chinatown for almost 2 years in the 70s and never heard of this event. I only learned about it this year when I did daily lessons for my company during AAPI Heritage month.
My ancestor had arrived in California at around 1861 or 1862 but not in Los Angeles, rather Salinas Monterey area, to fill the labor void as some whites had gone back east to join the Civil War. Hell had to pay when these decommissioned soldiers returned and wanted their jobs back. From this rose the Workingnen's Party.
Congratulations and thank you for providing this history. It is something I had not heard about, but it should not be forgotten.

China has been killing its own people for centuries. If you want MURDER, go to China.
Chinese Americans should sue the American gov't for reparations.

You know the white class don't want the history of the minorities in the US is told . Everything wiped out like dust blown into the ocean. Sad.
Nice work, and an excellent introduction to an event we should not forget…especially in today’s divided times.
Thank you CAM!
Thanks for the nice work! 11 years later after the Massacre, US Code Chapter 7, Chinese Exclusion Act, was passed in 1882.
Thank you for this video! Is there a works cited for the images used within the video?
great job CAM in keeping our Chinese history, good and bad, alive for the future generations
本想转发给朋友看,可惜没有中文字幕,而朋友英文又不灵光,希望今后凡讲述华人华侨故事都能有中文字幕作翻译。
May those 19 Chinese’s forever Rest In Peace!
We will never forget!
