Why on earth would anyone give this a thumbs down? And only two hours after posting the video. I am never disappointed with Prowalks videos. They give such great insight to the beauty of the area without the chitchat that other people's videos are laden with. I especially love the map of where the walk will go and the location and history of where you're at. That's exactly what I want. Good job, as usual!
I totally agree with you, ProWalks sure sets very high standards, other walk videos are unwatchable due to the nuisances you mentioned, I can't stand the ones with sellfie sticks focused on their faces.
Another agreement here! The captions are informative without being a nuisance (sometimes in ask my screen 'why' for a little more info but you can't hear me! :-) ) And time to stop for a coffee. Looking forward to the other videos. Thx for doing this. And so well.
My wife and I have been fortunate to visit the beautiful city of Venice on several occasions and we are constantly overwhelmed with its majesty and splendor. We have especially loved our many self-guided walking tours and have literally thousands of photos and numerous hours of personal videos that we treasure back here in the USA. You are to be highly commended for the superb quality of your Venice walking tour and we shall keep these six videos in our UA-cam (favorites) vault.
Hi Neal, I'm glad you enjoyed the walks. I know i didn't see everything so if you have any suggestions for a Part 7 just let me know. Thanks for watching!
What a great walk through such a historic city. I love the colors in this video. I also like hearing the voices of people going about their lives and how every corner leads to a new micro-world in this city. Every turn brings something new and beautiful. Thanks for capturing all this. -Henry
So this is just one of 6 videos that are part of my whole Venice tour. I walked over 10 miles around the city. I'm not sure who will want to watch all ten miles...but I think these first three videos show the main sites.
As an Italian (Venetian)/American 🇺🇸, this is by far, the absolute BEST channel for getting the full flavor of Venice! I feel like I am there again, as it brings me back to my beloved heritage. As the guide walks you through this city, rich in history, you are there to hear the sounds of life as it is being lived. There is no irritating narration or unwanted commentary, just the sights and sounds of the moment, with captions to give highlights, facts, and figures of this historic city. I highly recommend this channel to anyone.........and no, I don’t work for them, I just happened upon Pro Walk Tours as a recommendation, and it was very much appreciated. Auguri tutti! 🇮🇹
Great memories from a week in Venice and the islands.Churches such history museums too,Food drinks the whole show during the 1970s And 80sGreat places, gardens ,shows too. Thanks all involved with greeting tourists.Staying on the ISLAND WAS FUN AFTER VISITORS LEFT .
The beauty of Venice is mindblowing. I love to follow you through the city. Thanks so much for your fantastic work and all the information you are providing. You're taking this to a whole new level.

Venice is unique,I have seen so many documentaries on Venice but none captures the magic as you did,the views from the rooftop terrace were simply breathtakibg, was kind of surprised to see the skating rink, so much beauty lies hidden in the back streets of the cities..ProWalks we are so obliged to you for this great service..will watch the next one now.
I came upon your site while locked down in the UK and this took me right back to two wonderful holidays I had in Venice. I absolutely loved the walk, and the atmosphere of the sounds, and will be watching all your other videos now. Thank you!
Another amazing walking tour by Prowalks! We were in Venice just a week after this was filmed. It brings back great memories. Thanks for posting this....and all of your “walks”! I am addicted to your channel.
Hey, thanks for watching. I hope you had a good time there...and stayed warm. I was just there again yesterday and there was a lot more activity. There is a quite a difference between a Saturday in December and a Saturday and February.
My neighbor on Long Island recommended Prowalk Tours as an interesting, educational way to spend time now - as we are sheltering in place during the Covid-19 pandemic. She was right. I can't believe how detailed and extensive these videos are - such sharp focus and excellent sound. This is the first walk I have watched so far. Thank you!!
I have been so looking forward to your Venice walks and this one has excelled my expectations. I love the immersive video and the crystal clear sound. Can't thank you enough and looking forward to the rest of the walks around La Serenissima. Il migliore!
Hey, that's great to hear. I'll have two more walks posted up this week. One is part 3 and the other is just a walk around the Canal and Rialto bridge that I filmed yesterday. I have a question for you if you don't mind....does the wide angle of the camera bother you while you watch? It seems pretty minimal to me and I don't really notice it but others seem to think it is terrible.
ProWalks I’m kind of 50/50 on it. I think I notice it most when you’re looking at tall buildings like churches, or buildings with long verticals. Otherwise I find I don’t notice it.
I bought the Osmo Pocket just for this reason back on December 1st....but it never shipped because of my address and finally I had to cancel the order. I just reordered again tonight....this time having it shipped to family in the states who can send it here. Anyway, hopefully it turns out to be a good alternative.
Prowalk Tours Even though your question was directed to another viewer, I wanted to respond too. I think your videos are absolutely flawless! As for the wild angle, you need not worry. Your videos need no improvement! Wish I was articulate enough to express how extraordinary your work is! It's mesmerizing!
I'm glad it brought back warm memories...I was freezing. :) Hey, thanks! I really appreciate that. I'm just doing my best here to put out quality videos. Thanks for the support!

Excelente video.... muchas gracias!!!!!!, me hiciste recordar las callesitas y puentes de esa maravillosa venecia... que tuve la oportunidad de conocerla en mi viaje familiar de diciembre del 2015...
Venice is the most romantic city in the world. We have been fortunate to have spent many weeks there during our almost 47 years of marriage. Hopefully, we will be able to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary at Harry's Bar. Thank you for the videos, they are superb!
Hey Congrats! Were you the one that mentioned Harry's Bar to me before? I walked by it when I was there back in December but from the outside it didn't have much to show so I didn't film it. I ask to film inside a lot of local businesses but they almost always tell me that filming is not allowed. This year will by my parents 45th Anniversary. They are coming to visit soon. Maybe I'll take them to Harry' Bar. :)
Harry's Bar is our favorite restaurant in the world. We have celebrated many anniversaries both at the bar (with the signature Bellini) on the first level and dinner upstairs! Best regards, Ken and Karen. When do you plan to post the other walking tours in Venice?
I should have Part 3 and the Bonus walk (Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, Fish Market) up Saturday. Hopefully I can get 4, 5, 6 up the next week. Each video takes about 8 hours just to export after I finish editing(which takes a few days) and then a few more days to process on UA-cam. Long videos are a slow process. :)
@@ProWalks "You have never been to Venice if you haven’t gone to Harry’s Bar", is the statement made by Arrigo Cipriani, the son of famous Giuseppe Cipriani who based the "Harry’s Bar" in 1931.:)
Really great work - thanks much for taking the time to put this together and share. heading to Venice for the 5th visit next June - think I am going to attempt to commit your walk to memory and follow in your footsteps. Again, big thanks.
I loved watching this video, thank you. It's great to see that Venice's history of international trade is still thriving. We had a German building, full of Chinese tourists, dressed like Americans, buying French luxuries from Italians while speaking English. Venice is a wonderfully cosmopolitan city and long may it remain so.
That was awesome! Thanks. We were in Venice Sept 2014; obviously December is the time to go. Very much looking forward to the other parts. Thanks again,
@@ProWalks It was a suggested video, because I also follow 2 other walkers, and after watching yours, you became my favorite with an awesome format. thanks
Watching these great videos makes me appreciate how lucky i am to live 10km away from Venice. The "ponte della costituzione" might have a controversial design, but the main reason why it is so despised by locals is the fact that it's made of glass. Try to cross when it's wet or, even better, covered in ice. On top of this the steps are too long to be taken in one step but too short to be taken in two steps; it's a mess.
Great video as per usual. Maybe it is the good quality of your equipment that made it so but I loved the contrast between the terracotta bricks of the buildings of Venice and the blue green colour of the canal water so pretty.
Hi Donna, I'm glad you enjoyed this one. It was filmed in the off season and it was pretty cold out. Maybe the low sun and clouds helped bring out some colors and contrast. I walked Venice again this summer. I have a new tour to post up..at some point. :) Thanks for watching!
Absolutely stunning video and such an incredibly smooth image. I see that you use a GoPro Hero 7 and a Gimbal. I thought that the GoPro Hero 7 has sophisticated image stabilization built in. Do you use the image stabilization contained in the GoPro in addition to the Gimbal?
Hey Wayne, The Gopro 7's hyper smooth is really good...but only in bright light. It also crops the image. I only use the gimbal while I walk. Also, if I used just the Gopro, I would be able to get the smooth panning shots...at least not very easily. Thanks for watching!
Just found your channel. New sub here. Video is so smooth. For a second, I thought it was recorded on an Insta360 One X. We're planning to visit next year. Still not sure best time to go. Still have lots to learn. Thanks for sharing.
I don't know of the best time exactly... But even if it is crowded, it is still nice. When i went in December it was freezing until about noon. There were fewer people.. But more places were closed so it's a bit of a tradeoff. Anytime between March and October would be fine.
@@ProWalks Thanks for the reply. I'll research much more. Still need to check hotel rates, air fare. I'll check out the rest of the series over the weekend. Thanks again.
Prowalks are indispensable before going anywhere ! They should get a medal !! If one day I do get to Venice I will have to get up at 5 am to walk around the city !!!!
Another great one! Although for some reason, UA-cam still only has this available in 1080. I've noticed this lately with a number of videos that are clearly intended to be at 4K. I wonder what's up with YT?
Wow...Yeah, I didn't realize that. The file is definitely 4K. It used to take about 2 or 3 days to process one of my long 4K videos. Maybe it is taking longer since these are 60fps. Well..I hate to false advertise. I guess I'll take away the "4K" from the title for the time being. Glad you enjoyed the walk.
These are great videos. I live in Australia and wish to do a similar travel video here in Australia. What I am interested in is this question: Do you film originally in smaller segments and later put them together. I note between two segments you finish and start on the same shot. However if you end a segment and start a segment in a slightly different location would you get a smooth transition between both; or reasonable smooth? I was thinking of a much shorter video that would still show off the place just as well. I am doing them for my own enjoyment and friends at the moment, but I would like to learn to do these in a professional manner. Just if I have a person walking with me I would have to get them not to talk while videoing. Can you just give me some comments on this please?
Hey Dawn, I do all these walks along. I don't think it would work too well to have someone with you. I've tried. :) ..but yes, I do the walks all at one time, unless they are really long in which case I might spread it out over two days...but I walk and film the whole time. I only take a break to change batteries or if the camera overheats. At those moments, I always try to start filming in the exact same place I stopped. Yeah...no reason to follow the same format. I'm sure you can make some videos with your own flavor that will appeal to viewers.
Yeah, I used a Hero 7 on this walk. I took a little bit of drone footage while I was there ....until someone stopped me and said that I'd get fined $4000 and they'd take my drone if caught....so..I decided it probably wasn't worth the risk. :) I went to the island of Burano when I was there and right when you get off the ferry there is a sign there is a No Drone Zone sign.
@@ProWalks I was about to tell you that.lol. On my last trip this past December I was planing to take a drone but I read the laws about it. You can use it flying over peoples's head. Technically you can use it at all because it will always fly over people's head. I guess the only spot would be using it on the beaches close to the water. I am heading back there this June and I will see if I take one.
So I keep thinking that I've given UA-cam enough time to process by videos...but..I end up being wrong. The video is 4K but UA-cam hasn't fully processed the file yet. It should be 4K soon.
@@ProWalks Perhaps you need to re-upload as the $k Version is not available. UA-cam may be confused since you took down the original version due to the copyright issue you mentioned and UA-cam stop processing this title. Try uploading with a different title. Good Luck. Waiting to watch this on my 4K set.
Beautiful and serene. This is what I like to do in Venice: just walk (not exactly this touristic route), but just wander and drop into a bar for some Spritz, relax. Visit museums and just enjoy the silence. My tip: Venice when it rains: ergo: no tourists. Yours IhateTV.
Hey Alex, yeah I am using a Gopro Hero 7 Black. Obviously not top of the line...but I love that it is durable, simple to use, can get wet, battery lasts a long time, video quality is great, etc.
That's great! Buy a few extra batteries and a battery pack to charge them with. You can get about 75 minutes of 4k at 30fps and about 45 minutes of 4k at 60fps. My only problem with it is i leave the voice command on... And sometimes it turns on without me knowing it and when i pick up the the camera, the battery is dead. You can leave the startup voice command off though and the problem's fixed. I hope you have a great trip.
Venice is a lovely and unusual place, but it has become such a magnet for tourists that it might just be insufferable. That shot on the Rialto Bridge nearly gave me a panic attack.
DdHola lindo video hermoso paraíso lastima q el turismo este acabando con ella ojalá alguien se ponga la mano en el corazón y la ayude gracias por compartir

Fabulous!!! The best thing is you kept the original sounds of the city rather than some crappy music.
Hey, thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy the format.
Fantastique merci
Are you still using the Xpro 7? I see that you are using a drone now. Very cool man!

It plays back in 1080 but not 4K. Could you reupload this in 4K. Thank you so much!
So I keep thinking that I've given UA-cam enough time to process by videos...but..I end up being wrong. The video is 4K but UA-cam hasn't fully processed the file yet. It should be 4K soon.
@@ProWalks Thanks for your reply. Waiting to watch it in 4K soon!
Thanx pretty good place for hike
Excellent, excellent job
Hey, thanks for watching!
Grazie mille!
Loved it thanks for uploading
Love u so much! America NO1!!!

Please never delete this video
I don't plan to. :)
Trabalho maravilhoso obrigado♠♥♠♥♠
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Working on Part 3 right now.
Awesome video. Thanks a lot.
what mode, linear, wide or superview did you used?
In 4k 60fps, the only mode available is wide. I would like to use linear mode if possible but I'd have to shoot in 2.7k instead.
Love all the captions!
I asked this elsewhere... Does the little dog still ride the vaporetto by itself? I never saw him by a ticket....

Unique😍❤️
We ❤ you.
Which camera did you use? A GoPro?
Hey Alex, yeah I am using a Gopro Hero 7 Black. Obviously not top of the line...but I love that it is durable, simple to use, can get wet, battery lasts a long time, video quality is great, etc.
@@ProWalks this camera is amazing, I got one for my next travel to Europe. Thank you.
Are you using a go pro on your head? Seems high up
Hermoso, gracias
It's so sad to see all these graffiti in these beautiful and precious cities,so disrespectful!😢
But ,amazing work,thank you!✌
i love it
Venice is a lovely and unusual place, but it has become such a magnet for tourists that it might just be insufferable. That shot on the Rialto Bridge nearly gave me a panic attack.
Awesome!
Glad you think so!
magnifique video
Thanks - спасибо ))))))))
Thanks for watching!
Marvellous video, thank you so much! What I do find depressing though is the amount of grafiti on these fabulous buildings.... 😠
Venice is so much bigger than I thought. So sad to see so many docked gondolas because of the pandemic. Not many tourists.
There is only a SCAMdemic to usher UN's Agenda 2030 ! No tourism is part of it !
DdHola lindo video hermoso paraíso lastima q el turismo este acabando con ella ojalá alguien se ponga la mano en el corazón y la ayude gracias por compartir
Very nice video
Complimenti per il video
Who are the letters blocking the screen?
I'm sorry if it is distracting. I'll post up a non-caption version at some point.
