After many years of being out of Gunpla, I definitely want to get back in, especially to try out custom kit bashing. These 30 min. Missions kits look right up my ally, especially those knight custom parts!
I really love the cielnova’s design, so I got it as soon as I could. Your review absolutely proves to me that I unfortunately got a lemon, many of the joints were loose as hell and it was a total hand grenade. Despite that, I absolutely love the kit after fixing it with super glue. Those hip joints can get REAL loose and it’s a bummer it happens on these kits. Great review as always! Keep on being awesome!
Yeah I ended up switching most of the joints for gunpla joints and giving mine an extra Seltsam arm. Ironically enough I think the Seltsam arm fits better on other Gunpla than just the Tertium. I put it on my old Gurren that had a arm damaged from moving and got it painted gunmetal. This is why I got 4 Seltsam arms and one Seltsam gunpla.
Did anyone else feel a pang of panic when he put the small house int he large city section, and get the feeling of "no, don't do that, it will be a complete pain to pry that out later"
I've built every variant so far and I can confirm that the cielnova and Portanova chassis both suffer from loose ab crunch connection. If you get only one set, get the Alto or chonky rabiot.
30MM kits are like Armored Core mechs as most parts can be exchanged. Kitbashed 30MM kits with Kotobukiya MSG/Frame Arms/Megami Device parts, as long the connecting pegs are 30mm.
the Cielnova's stock head unit reminds me of a Geara Doga for some reason and its thin waist gives me IBO MS vibes, also the color scheme for this version of the Alto Flight Type matches the Star Wars X-Wing pilot suits, lol.
Wait how many of those landscape city bases did you use? I love that idea and would like to try it out, photographing my painted gunpla is one of my favorite things to do and the potential is there.
@@mikethecurious2489 It robs both HG and SD kits of their key traits. SD kits can't be judged the same way as an HG. They are supposed to have chibi-fied proportions. they are supposed to look cute. restricted poseability and a bigger sticker sheet are fine with me. Both SDs and HGs have their own unique virtues. Putting an SD head on an HG body robs them of their virtues.

Funny enough, Lego rods are ALSO 3mm if I'm remembering correctly thus allowing you to cross your Lego with your Plamo!

I've got the 1/35 Guren Type-02. Cool looking kit, but very dated parts designing so not the most pleasant build.

I love 30 minute mission Gunpla as I used to be into Bionicles and Transformers. So being able to make custom Gundams easily is satisfying as fuck!

I just bought a cielnova black, i added a high mobility kit, a sengoku weapons pack and now little guy looks like a samurai F-114
to me the orange and white flight alto has the look of a test suit, with an orange test color alto suited up with prototype copies of the flight gear.
