Other companies like Kotobukiya and specially Wave produces detail parts meant to cover holes that way in various diameters, included 3mm holes. My personal recommendation is Wave's "O Bolt 2". Although I warn they're meant to become permanent detail parts and they are VERY hard to take out once you put them in.
It’s like we are watching the two sides develop their tech in response to the other and it even makes sense. The two altos ground and flight are built to fight on earth since they are being attacked from space by the portanovas. While the two porta novas the space and water are built to take advantage of the altos weaknesses. The PN have the advantage right now while the altos are trying to fight them off.

I know this was written a year ago but... Now we have Maxion with their weird space alloy that makes their EXAMACs both sturdy AND lightweight. It would seem they underestimated the Federation and Byron capabilities because after their Ninja/Samurai aesthetic they're adopting weapons, tech, and tactics from both forces. Spinatia is being fitted with Command Armor and Spinatio is getting an Army Specification loadout. To counter this the Fed and Byron might have pooled resources to create the Espossito A, B, Revernova, and Gardnova. I love this back and forth.

That kind of ball joints that goes on the shoulders are something lots of people has been wishing Bandai mass produced in cheap bunchs alone because it helps a lot of kitbashes to fit older HG shoulders that connects with 3mm pegs, to go to modern torsos with ball joint-meant polycaps. Is a shame that there's only 2 of them, but still is quite great
They have been released before by bandai. Check out the "customize campaign" kits. The runners contain extra pegs and joints for converting and customizing attachment points. Kotobukiya also has those hole covers.
@@spookshankaman1038 He means the kits are cheap in price not like with Gunpla where depending on the model the price will be crazy high. They average 15 to 20 dollars here in the US. The option armor is like 5 dollars a pack depending on where you get it. It' s just hard to find and you have to order on line
Thanks for the reveiw of this kit. I'll have to keep a look out for a couple! I bought a Portanova and the Extended Armament Vehicle and a couple of the weapon option sets and I am having a blast swapping bits back and forth! This line of kits reminds of one of my favorite toy line from the 70s, " Micronaughts " by Mego with it's ability to combine components from throughout the range to make your own unique constructs. I will definitely be getting more of these. The price is way more reasonable compared to my regular hobby purchases at 20$ plus tax for a Portanova, The tank was only 14$ and weapon sets 7-10$ . The larger kits in the range were 30$ ,still quite good value IMO. Wicked stuff! Thanks again for the video!
The giys behind this must've gotten a raise damn these are looking good. I can't wait to get the ground type and turn it into a test bed for stuff i don't wanna do yet for my gundams haha
I’ve never gotten a 30mm kit for myself yet. I like this alto ground type and option set. Might get myself one as soon as things get back to normal here in the PH
I love it when you check out the 30MM kits, you always seem to be having a blast playin around with em and swapping parts, it's very enjoyable to watch
Awesome social distance blade. Everytime you talk about this kits, you sell them a little more to me.... And i already have tons of gunpla to build!!! I received my Eastern Designs 1/6 Ultraman ...and im anxious!!!
Dude i just absolutely love these kits. Theyre specifically for that one part of the audience that just loves to build mecha model kits OF THEIR OWN, and at the same time they want it the way they want it to look like. That type of audience has always been there but they never get to because they can only buy thats advertised on gundam shows. Some just want a mecha thats like a gundam, looks fast like a gundam, looks powerful like a gundam, and lots of guns and weapons, LIKE A GUNDAM. Some others they want it the zeon like way like the zakus, zaku IIs, and zaku IIIs. But more weapons and options. Bottom line: they want to build their model kit the way they want it to be. 30mm does just absolutely that, and i love it. Plus, IT GIVES ACTUAL ADDITIONAL WEAPONS HOW COOL IS THAT?!
Another fun thing that I haven't seen people talk about, is that Lego accessories like swords and spikes are 3mm pegs as well. Same with the Lego minifig hands, (can hold 3mm pegs).
at 15:40 that ball joint to 3m peg is a pretty cool attachment. Makes me wonder if you can attach an older Gunpla arm that used a peg instead of a ball joint.
I believe the long segmented pole shaft is meant to be cut at those segments so that you have more standard-measurement 3mm shafts for connecting things. I could be mistaken though, but either way one can use these however they like!
These are amazing! I want to dive into it, but am afraid I'm not all that imaginative (kinda like why I was never into LEGOs as a kid). Quick thing, though, Mecha! If you can, for your next 30mm review, when you're reviewing what's different about the kit (thicc legs, different side-skirt), can you put it next to a standard model? Unless I have one next to me or have a different tab open, it's hard to see what makes it so different! Thanks Mecha! You're the greatest!
I wasn't completely sold on that option kit at first, but dang, all those useful extras make it very tempting. Also loving the coffee/caramel scheme of the base Alto ground type.
This option set is massively versatile for customization of gunpla and 30 minute mission kits alike. I can't wait for my local hobby shop to get then in.

I now regret not getting that ground type pre quarantine. Hopefully it clears up in less than month in my country, as the itch to get one is getting annoying. 😅😅😅 Incidentally I've stuck the sensor part into a couple of Roy-roys so my sniper build now has a couple of spotters for triangulation... 😊
Damn. After watching this review, I went straight to my local shop to grab both Alto Ground type and Option Set 1. Got rekted by my wife but still worth it.
Dam it's better than the IBO kits. I wonder if you combine the IBO kits and 30 min mission kits for some badass mecha! And you are the only person who can do it 😃
Tried that already. And I will say DONT DO IT. The IBO kits have a different sizes of joints to the 30 MM kits, which you will make the holes loosen. IBO can switch parts with IBO only. If you want to switch 30 MM parts with other gunplas, it is fine.
Mecha if you like hands free shoulder shield maybe consider taking a look at the Zudah, it’s a zeon grunt competitor to the Zaku, though it’s joins are dated when it comes to articulation, it still is an interesting with a giant gun
You can also use the original waist armour you replaced with the option parts to plug up the holes, they fit in better colour wise and it makes it less likely you'll lose them
The possibility of customization is crazy!!! Indeed the older models kinda plain but with this one I can make my own ace unit with IBO vibes, also can't wait for underwater ver.
I need Bandai to release a 30 pack of those hole plugs in different colors, because they look so much better with the holes covered
