I honestly can confirm this. The problem with the Dodgers is that they rely on the long ball way too much. The radio guys, on both sides, know their teams, that's why they are so good. Plus, they have to paint the scene for the listener who can't see the game. A lot of times during the season, I'll listen to the game on radio while laying in bed. Use to do as a kid, I still enjoy it.

And then.... blows the plays and costs the team the game. Yesterday, another Astros dude admires his hit but it doesn't go out of the park and possibly costs a future tying run because of his lack of hustle. So far, all I have seen with the Nats is that they play great baseball and don't need to showboat uselessly like the Astros. And oh - maybe I'm wrong, but so far in the postseason I have seen that Martinez is a class act and Hinch leaves a lot to be desired as far as humility.
Yep.Davey ,with justified criticism of him in his first year before as a manager, really stayed calm when team was 12 games under 500 on May 24.The Best bit of managing I have ever seen.And his handling of the Latin players, who brought something special to this team, was perfect.

I was fortunate enough to enjoy watching Ken Griffey, Jr. (the epitome of a modest superstar athlete in any sport) as a season ticket holder in - of all 'buildings' - The Kingdome. We were all happy to hear Dave Niehaus refer to Safeco Field as "... the House that Griffey built" during the transition to a Baseball Stadium, from that ugly multi-purpose concrete hamburger. The very first favorite outfielder in my lifetime, was Roberto Clemente. There is modesty, but definitions have apparently changed over the decades. :D

The Nationals are a relocated team that didn't resort to tanking in order to becoming successful and their fans have remained dedicated and classy. I'm a Braves fan and I feel bad for the Braves missing their chance, but the Nationals deserve the championship and if they win it and I hope they do, it will motivate the Braves more to not let opportunities pass them by and they certainly had their opportunities to win the series against the Cardinals.
If you you are a Braves fan you probably remember the 1996 World Series, the Atlanta Braves had a 2-0 lead against the NY Yankees and they eventually lost that series, it is far from over, that Houston team is too talented to not comeback in this series.
@@Shindler39 agree but also Washington has dominant pitching and a manager that seems to be willing to use said pitching to cover weaknesses. The Braves had great pitching in 96 but idk if they had a team like this.
