Justification for any controversial picks I may have made for this video: 1999, 2001, 2023: I picked these tying home runs over walk-off home runs because I feel like a 2-run shot to tie it when you’re on the brink of losing is actually bigger than a walk-off home run with the game tied. 2002: For some reason people say that Bonds’ home run from Game 2 was the best because it was an absolute moonshot, but it only brought the Giants to within a run and they lost immediately after. So I chose the go-ahead home run from the previous inning that won the game for the Angels. 2005: Late-game grand slam down 2 > walk-off while tied. 2006: I chose this home run over Pujols’ home run because when Pujols hit his the Cardinals already had the lead. 2008: While Blanton’s home run later in the series was amazing because he was a pitcher, the Phillies were already up 3 when he hit it. I think Utley’s Game 1 homer was bigger because it was a first-inning 2-run shot to start the World Series with a bang. 2009: Okay, this pick I would actually go back and change. Matsui’s home run from either Game 2 or Game 6 would’ve been a better choice. 2012: Tough choice here. I know Sandoval had a 3-homer game earlier in the series, but that game was a blowout. Posey’s home run was important because it gave the Giants the lead in the late-innings of the title-clinching game. 2016: I don’t really think this pick is controversial, but for anyone who thinks it is, a game-tying home run in the 8th inning of Game 7 is absolutely legendary. Yes, Cleveland lost in the end, but the home run remains unforgettable. 2017: This was the toughest choice I had to make for this video. I know so many people were expecting a home run from Game 5, and I understand because of how legendary that game was. But, I chose Marwin González’ home run from Game 2 because it tied the game in the 9th inning and saved the Astros from going down 2-0 in the series. If he didn’t hit that home run, the series would’ve looked a whole lot different. 2018: I chose Max Muncy’s 18th inning walk-off, but looking back on it I probably could’ve also chosen Mitch Moreland or Steve Pearce from Game 4. So, in the end, if I were to go back and change any of my picks, I would probably only change 2009 and 2018. Anyway, I hope you still enjoy the video even if you do disagree with a couple of my picks.
I couldn’t agree with you more for the Mitch morland or Steve Pearce. I was shocked you put max muncy they lost that series 4-1 that home run meant nothing Mitch morlands was HUGE it killed the momentum from the dodgers trying to tie the series

So many choices I would have made differently here, starting with 1999. Chad Curtis hit a walk off in the 10th, I'd think that would trump a tying HR in the 8th that just barely got out. Curtis's was a real good shot too. Idk if this was because of Curtis's post-playing career that you don't want to shine a light on him but to me the best HR is the best HR and that belonged to Curtis in 1999. 2000 - Jeter first pitch, that's fine. 2001 - Brosius, I like. 2002 - Bonds hit some TITANIC blasts in that series, including that same game 2. I'd have gone with that. Or maybe even Garrett Anderson's 3 run shot in game 6 that got the Angels back in the game. I know this won game 2 but by the time this powerhouse of a series was over, it was almost an afterthought. 2003 - Alex Gonzalez is the right play here 2004 - Bellhorn, yup fine here 2005 - I know Konerko's was a grand slam but you had Podsednik's walk off in Game 1, an everyday guy with no regular season homeruns. How wild is that? Then you had Geoff Blum's HR in the 14th inning of game 3, another role player. Either of those would be fine, I'd say Podsednik, but the grand slam by Konerko has to take a backseat because it didn't decide the game. 2006 - I don't even remember this one. Forgettable series though. I have no idea what HR I'd pick cause this series sucked ass 2007 - Pedroia leading off the series was quite memorable, that's fine 2008 - Gotta go with Blanton in Game 4, thought that would be an easy choice here. A pitcher going deep at home in a winning effort is pretty badass. 2009 - Giving this to Utley hurt me as a Yankee fan. I'd go with Matsui off Pedro in the late innings of Game 2 to win the game. You could also go with A-Rod's homer off the camera in Game 3 just for the novelty. I know this was a late tying HR but it did not decide the game and wasn't really that memorable all things considered 2010 - Renteria's is the only choice, fine here 2011 - Freese is the only choice, fine here 2012 - Sandoval hit 3 homers in Game 1. I think the 3rd of his 3 should get the nod here because that was a spectacle. I do not remember this Posey homer. 2013 - Ortiz hit a few homers in an unbelievable series MVP effort but I think you still picked the right one here 2014 - I do not remember any home runs from this series, so I guess. I just think seeing Hunter Pence go deep is odd, his stance has no suggestion of power in it. 2015 - Alex Gordon's tying HR in the 9th of Game 1 yeah that's right. David Wright's shot in Game 3 was also up there but this made the biggest difference. 2016 - Rajai Davis is the right one here. Incredibly dramatic game 7 comeback even in a losing effort. 2017 - Marwin Gonzalez in Game 2? No, there were so many good ones to go with in Game 5. Gurriel tying it off Kershaw was a bomb, Springer tying it later on was a bomb. Correa had a great fist pump celebration before first base. Any of these were better with the home crowd going nuts, later in the series, in an all time epic slugfest. Game 2 was lowkey underrated but Game 5 was where its at and there were so many bombs here to choose from. I couldn't even tell you which one of them I'd go with, just not Marwin in G2. 2018 - Muncy is the right call here 2019 - Kendrick is the only choice here 2020 - The big plays in this series I remember weren't homeruns, so I guess this one in Game 6 by Mookie is as good as any 2021 - I want to say Soler's game winner in Game 4 is the better HR because it was more dramatic but damn, this one in Game 6 is just such a bomb it takes your breath away. And it really was what put the Astros away for good. So I can't argue with this. 2022 - Alvarez shot in Game 6 is the right play 2023 - I'm a bit torn on whether it should be Seager or Garcia's walk off from Game 1 who gets the nod for this one. I like Garcia winning it, really put the exclamation point on the game, even if Seager's shot was more clutch.
@@wiseybaseball1486 of course. I still think Garcia's was more satisfying though. Just like Carlton Fisk's shot wouldn't have been possible without Bernie Carbo's, but Fisk's is still more iconic.

I thought about it, but without that Game 2 home run the Dodgers would’ve gone up 2-0 and the series would’ve looked a lot different. It was one of the toughest choices I had to make for this video. I even looked into some old posts from the Astros subreddit to see what they thought and more people thought that the Game 2 home run was more important.
Great compilation but you really should add context to each one of these home runs. Because not all were winning homers of the game and not all were by the eventual champion. Unless your team was part of that moment or you’re just a baseball nut, you’re not going to know the significance of each one. I know what Freese’s homer in 2011 means for Texas, which can I can stomach now, but not necessarily other baseball fans will know.
Gonzalez’ home run saved the game and possibly the series. Two outs remaining in the 9th and he ties it with that shot. If he doesn’t the Astros go down 2-0.
How you gonna show Rajai Davis’ 2016 homer but not a single homer of the Cubs who won the World Series? Not Bryant tying the game at home in game 5? Not Bryant’s leadoff homer in game 6 or Russell’s grand slam? Most importantly what about Dexter Fowler leadoff homerun in game 7? Or David Ross in his final AB?
I’m pretty sure almost everyone besides Cubs fans would agree that Davis’ home run was the best of the series. Game 7 of the World Series, down 2 and 4 outs away from losing and he hits that. Yes, Cleveland lost the game eventually but the home run was still one of the most clutch in history.
Justification for any controversial picks I may have made for this video:

All the hatred for the astros was going full blast despite them making the alcs 6x before, but of course to the haters only winning a world series without cheating meant you were good. Yordan changed that. Forever grateful for that swing, and respectful to the Phillies as well, hoping they win a ws soon ngl
Baseball fans when the Phillies, Dodgers, Braves, or Astros get in: "it's so repetitive 😥"
Baseball fans when any other team gets in: "it's so boring 😥"
Y'all are spoiled, go Rangers
This year, gotta be Freeman grand slam in game 1
Buck didn’t enjoy baseball until 2016 is the jest of this video
2:44 One of my top five favorite homers being a White Sox fan. 😭🖤
Many of these home runs were not walk off games winners except the one by David Freese in 2011
bro alvarez SMOKED that thing is still cant believe it
Alternate title: 10 minutes of bland Joe Buck calls
I knew 2016 was gonna be the Davis HR. Even though the Cubs won, I still can’t watch that damn HR.
I get the Angels HR being here for 02 bc they won, but it's objectively the Bonds HR that still hasn't landed
This was alot of ⚾⚾⚾ fun
Moreland's HR in Game 4 of the 2018 series was actually way more impactful than Muncy's in Game 3.
I still wake up in a cold sweat remembering the Davis home run
Baseball rules man
My choice for 2015 would have been Escobar’s inside the park HR on the first pitch of the bottom of the 1st in Game 1
Rolen was FLYING around the bases lmao
7:42 even though we still won it my gut dropped when that happpened
Sports pundits will tell you "Joe Buck is great, actually!" but here he is dropping the ball on every call for like 25 straight years lol
He got way better in the last half of the 2010s. He is way better at football than he ever was at baseball but finally around 2015-16 he showed that he actually has feelings lol.
For the Soler three run blast, Joe Buck made the better call than the Braves radio network did
2001 was NOT Mr. November? (and yes Jeter was 2000)
2009 Godzilla
I thought altuve's home run in game 5 would have been the best one of the 2017 world series.
@@nintendolegonbafan5413 You made the right call. They lose they game, they lose the series
We all knew what 2011 would be
2018 should be Steve Pearce's game tying home run off Kenley in Game 4.
06 should've been Pujols off Verlander
9:30 you can hear Matt vargesian in the other booth lol
For 2017, it should’ve been Yuri Gurriel’s game 5 bomb to tie it 4-4 against kershaw
It was a very tough choice but without the Game 2 home run the Astros would’ve gone down 2-0 in the series and things would’ve looked a lot different.
ADOLIZ GARCIA IS THIS GENERATION'S JUAN GONZALEZ!
As much as I love Scott Brosious, the game 7 Soriano Homer is the best one in the series.
Alvarez' home run is still being tracked by Mission Control (which is, of course, in Houston) as space debris.
I’m not a Yankees fan,but I miss those Jeter teams. Baseball is better when the Yankees are good. It gives you a team to hate.
Puig off E Rod probably would've been my choice over the Muncy homer. Probably unpopular though
From a pure visual standpoint, Barry Bonds' meaningless home run vs. Troy Percival was the best HR from the 2002 World Series.
Thank you Yordan Alvarez
Corey Seager home run was the best one(as a rangers fan I was jumping and screaming with joy
I’m glad they finally win a world series
I was hoping the D-Backs would win. But, it's awesome that the Rangers finally won a WS.
I missed Hunter Pence when he went to SF, but glad he was able to get his WS ring
I came here to make sure 10:12 was in there
7:14. LolMets voice: JEURYS FAMILIA!!!!!!!
I thought for sure Chad Curtis would be 1999
Without the game tying home run in the 8th though he wouldn’t have gotten the chance to walk it off.
Chase "The Man" Utley
Great compilation but you really should add context to each one of these home runs. Because not all were winning homers of the game and not all were by the eventual champion. Unless your team was part of that moment or you’re just a baseball nut, you’re not going to know the significance of each one. I know what Freese’s homer in 2011 means for Texas, which can I can stomach now, but not necessarily other baseball fans will know.
*gargantuan home run in the late innings of a World Series to tie or take the lead*
Joe Buck: “Home Run”
That Gonzalez homer in 2017 feels different when you know he knew what the pitch would be 🗑️
I disagree with several of your choices… 2009 should’ve been Matsui game 6 for example. No Scott Spezio in 2002?
Nice video but for the 2003 World Series … what about Cabrera’s home run off Rodger Clemens
Gonzales was a walkoff
Best one from 2012 is the Panda’s 3rd of the game
How is 01 not mr november??
Matsui in game 6 in 2009 was the bigger homerun
The biggest home run of 2018 World Series was Mitch Moreland's....
Matsui home run G6 2009
The "best home run" from the losing team? I will make an exception for Broscious in '01 because that was sick.
U should of done 1990 for joe carters walk off
I don’t think that Soler homerun has landed yet
i guess we'll never know
2008 gotta get Joe Blanton
The 2009 one is probably the worst possible pick. MATSUI GAME 6 BRO!
man this reminds me how awful Joe Buck is lol
Ok where is Albert taking lidge yard
Not the WS
Please tell me what world series that happened in
@@kukxiv7070 2005 houston vs st luis
@@kukxiv7070Again not the World Series…it was the 2005 NLCS game 5 if I’m not mistaken
@@allstarrider that's what I was getting at
you called pedro feliz's HR from the 09 WS the best one of that series? you could have chosen one of Utley's.
Coming back to this.. the Yankees ended up winning that game… so now I’m really failing to see what was so awesome about that home run 🧐
For 2017.... no.... Gonzalez was a monster utility player, but Springer.....
Gonzalez’ home run saved the game and possibly the series. Two outs remaining in the 9th and he ties it with that shot. If he doesn’t the Astros go down 2-0.
The best homerun from 2002 was the one where Salmon mouthed "that's the farthest hit ball I've ever seen." I think a guy none of you like hit it.
But that only made it a 1 run game and then they lost immediately after.
Corey seager 2017 game 2 or Correa game 5 were better imo and 2018 puig was the best one
(trollbot Joe Buck comment goes here)
How you gonna show Rajai Davis’ 2016 homer but not a single homer of the Cubs who won the World Series? Not Bryant tying the game at home in game 5? Not Bryant’s leadoff homer in game 6 or Russell’s grand slam? Most importantly what about Dexter Fowler leadoff homerun in game 7? Or David Ross in his final AB?
I’m pretty sure almost everyone besides Cubs fans would agree that Davis’ home run was the best of the series. Game 7 of the World Series, down 2 and 4 outs away from losing and he hits that. Yes, Cleveland lost the game eventually but the home run was still one of the most clutch in history.
@@nintendolegonbafan5413 clutch how? they lost 😂 clutch was Fowler hitting a leadoff homerun in game 7
starting in 1999 because...?
Last 25 World Series
Hard disagree on 09 😂
Why would the biggest home run of 01 be by the team that lost ? Lol
Someone needs to tell Joe Buck to calm the F down. He's way too excitable...
buck might not be the best at football but god damn can he call a ballgame
