Setting up the Line 6 HX Effects for my Dad

  • Please note: The Hedgehog D9 is based on the Maxon SD9, not the tube screamer! (whoops!) Thanks Joe!
In this video, I help my dad setup his new Line 6 HX Effects pedal.
He's using a custom Tom Anderson Cobra T with Tom Holmes pickups into a '81 Fender Vibroverb Reissue.
In the first part of the video, we recreate the sounds of his tradition stomp boxes, including, an Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer and a Boss Chorus.

    It works"
    Same, dad.

Same here. It's funny when you're with him and just going about your daily lives, it feels so normal that you can't even fathom life without him, then he's gone, just like that. And then the regrets come creeping in. "I never told him this, or never told him that..." and you feel awful. But then you think that he knew. He knew you loved him, he knew you liked playing golf with him. He knew you appreciated him coming to your little league game even though he works nights and should have been in bed. He knew all that stuff. But if you can tell him, let him know now. It will save you a lot of heartache down the road.

Trust me, you'll be glad some day. Plus you did get some great sounds, and tell your dad he has some younger(ish) players that admire him, he's a cool cat and a really good player. (When you were playing the riffs toward the end, he looked so proud and pleased at your playing.

But 90% of the time I really just need a good drive effect by itself. Plus you gave me a basic idea of how to use it. And you guys are very entertaining together.
