This is why safety inspections on vehicles are needed in all states.Transmission problems in them,it is the person misdiagnosing problems and rebuilding them wrong.Plus not using the ATF+4 fluid which it calls for. There is also a rubber hose part in the lower transmission line with a nylon checkball in it.That nylon checkball melts plugging it up.Fix is get that checkball out drilling it and popping it out with a long 1/4 rod or #2 phillips screwdriver. The crank sensors, they are different for an automatic and manual. transmission. Can see it real easy, one for the manual is shorter
Good day Tim from Ontario Yrs ago we had 90 dodge, nice truck 318 engine only got a little over 500 klms to a tank of gas. Trans went at 150,000. Wife said that it. Went to 4-3 chev. Yes new trucks are crazy priced. So what is prize of gas up ur way. We are at about 1.55/litre X 4,54 Thanks for now Happy Easter!
at todays new car prices I don't question anyone fixing up the older cars as long as they aren't rusted to pieces and parts are available. I use to see a few cracked frames on those where steering box mounts.
For sure. So sad they have begun using salt solutions on roadways up here during winter months. We never saw corrosion in the past but it’s really starting to show up and I just want to retire so I don’t have to learn how to deal with it. Haha.
Great vid Tim. Very comprehensive display of the major issues. I agree with you on not being a Dodge guy but I also agree for the money they charge for new trucks they are pretty much poor on the quality now. Thanks for sharing and have a Happy Easter !
You know your a great teacher and easy watch when you got me watching videos of problems on vehicles I don’t even own 😂 would I be able to possible contact you about a misfire issue with my 09 Chevy Silverado?
Me too! I’m a 48 year old female who drives a 2013 Tahoe, and I’ve been a subscriber for years. Fascinating stuff. I just wish I could smell tht good smell of a garage through the videos to match!😂
Yes 2500 laramie slt 6 foot box extended cab ..upgraded trans and radiator front end and brakes ..kinda like most of the stuff u did . Ryst free from south though ..230k
I bought a very similar truck brand new in 1998. 26 years and 200,000 miles later it's still my daily driver. Aside from normal wear and tear, the only real issue it had was the dash plastic crumbled and needed to be replaced. But I've maintained it properly and will continue to do so. The check engine light has never even come on. And yes, it does work, lol.
Mines smoking after long idle and misfiring and smoking when coming to a stop. It started after towing uphill. Now doesn't run good. Cylinder 6 plug is soaked
Wow, I sure hope they paid that guy to take that junker away....lol. Good explanation on the common problems.

Do you have a video for a 2009 Chevy Silverado where the transmission kinda stops and goes?
What could cause a 5.2 to not reach normal running temp. Mine stays cold even after running her a while
That's totally destroyed. Need complete front end rebuild. That's a big job buddy.
2004 mitsubishi endeavor cranks wants to strat but dies.
Biggest problem with Dodge is Dodge.
That one looks like it seen a hard life, rode hard and put away wet
Not to worry, it's only going to get worse. Stellantis is laying off from the top down.
Do you give a sympathy discount?
So worried about US auto manufacturing. Future seems bleak.
