About the party suddenly not remembering Yunyun... what was labeled episode 11 in the first season's video is actually a non-canon OVA, which decided to include Yunyun for whatever reason. As such, episode 2 of this season is supposed to be her real introduction, leading to massive confusion.
But that OVA appears in the movie tho, that's what confuses me. Everyone said that it's not canon but yet in the movie when Megumin's mom tells what she wrote to her mom they show a brief moment from that OVA. I'm confused on how to interpret it as canon or as some times between the end of valir act to s2 end.
@@zynerza my assumption is they just used it as a very brief part of a bunch of clips that fit what the characters were talking about. There is just too much that happens with the OVA that contradicts the rest of the series for it to be canon.
@@zynerza while the movie is based off book 5 and can therefore be considered season 3, a lot of it is altered to make a better viewing and to fit time constraints. The movie and light novels reference the scenes, but the ova itself isn't canon.
@@zynerzaabout half of the movie is non canon. Everything after komekko pulling the trigger is never actually happened. Fun thing, Kazuma's luck is so good that theoretically, the demon king should trip on his own sword but because Aqua who is in a party with him has luck stats so poor, that it drags Kazuma's luck down. Kazuma's luck stats is carrying the team basically, barely above from being negative.

It's a combination of Megumin caring about being the first in everything over Yun Yun, Yun Yun actually being a good spellcaster, Yun Yun being cute, and every single society downside for being a Crimson Demon. She's in a starter town. Most people aren't going to talk to Yun Yun because she can probably kill high tier enemies in the world. So adventurers who can barely kill those toads are normally not going to bother someone that strong. Yun Yun herself is shy and a Crimson Demon who all are Chuunis. So that combination is never going to allow her to be the first to initiate invitations to parties. It's never going to happen. Megumin is also just doing things behind the scenes to make it even harder for her. Despite all of this Megumin is factually the most powerful spellcasting Crimson Demon. She just wastes her additional points she gets over other mages on explosion magic which has supporting skills that let you just dump all of your points into it. It does have supporting skills to reduce mana cost and Megumin does have mana boosting skills, but Megumin almost always dumps all of her points into power. So she would be overall stronger than Yun Yun if she didn't use only explosion magic. The main reason no one defeated the Demon Lord yet is mainly due to the luck stat. Since most strong adventurers don't have luck they don't have the information on how to take down the Demon Lord's barrier. Their laws don't benefit anyone releasing this information either. Plenty of Adventurers probably could beat the Demon Lord if they had the ability to face him. They aren't important in the story though because the story is about driving the drama, comedy, and story around Kazama's party. When this story ends. The end is going to make everyone cry more than they did for Clannad. =3
The best part about Kazuma's "two pervert friends" is that they're expanded on in the Light Novel. In fact, there's a whole story about one of them trading parties with Kazuma for a little while because none of the other male adventurers believe that Kazuma's party is so trash considering they're all so high level. Kazuma's friend thought he was going to have the time of his life with Kazuma's party and after one day he was begging Kazuma to trade back while Kazuma, of course, didn't want to trade back at first. They skipped over that story in season 1 but it's great.
You keep saying "Why doesn't Kazuma do XX?" The Author has stated that if he wasn't weighed down by the rest of his party, Kazuma would already have defeated the demon king.
The two characters named Kieth and dust are from a story that the anime skipped. One of my favorites too. That really makes me sad because It's the one that basically showed just how competent Kazuma is. The blond guy, Dust, kept pestering Kazuma because he thought that Kazuma had it great a harem with a bunch a beautiful girls. (Like Mitsurugi with an actual harem) Dust is basically seen as a delinquent in the city. He constantly gets into trouble, is often arrested, and likes to pick fights. Kazuma, upset about just how wrong Dust is about his situation, proposed that Dust and him switch parties for a day. Dust quickly accepted. Soon after, Kazuma goes to Dust's party to join them on a quest. It's a goblin hunting quest, if I remember correctly. At first, they see him as a very useless person since he's only an adventurer (the weakest combat class). They even make him carry the equipment and tell him to try not to die once they get into combat. On the way, they notice how creatively Kazuma uses his elementary level magic. Elementary magic is magic that other casting classes often just skip because it's so weak. You've seen some of his elementary level magic like Create Water, Freeze, Tinder, but I think that the anime didn't show "Create" Earth and "Create Wind". Kazuma uses them in ways that make them more effective than the sum of their parts. Like using tinder to start a campfire instead of using a magic tool, for example. Soon after, they get close to the goblins, but Kazuma warns them that there's more of them than they thought there were going to be, but one of the members is rushes in and starts fighting. Soon they're in a fight with a bunch of goblins. During combat, Kazuma uses create water and freeze to stop the movements of the goblins and ends up saving their lives a few times during the fight and they end up winning. As they return back to town they compliment Kazuma on his quick thinking, but then they start talking about why there were more goblins than expected. Turns out, there's a really dangerous monster that tends to use goblins as tools for hunting adventurers. It's called the "Rookie Killer", and if regular adventurers come across it, it usually means death for them. Almost immediately after.. the Rookie Killer shows up. They pretty much lose hope when they see that. However, Kazuma once again pulls through with a combination of "Create Earth" and "Create Wind" to blind the Rookie Killer and they manage to escape. Thanks to Kazuma, they all survived and completely change their impressions of him. They apologize for treating him like he wouldn't be of any help, and Kazuma teases them about that. They pretty much tell him that he's welcome back in their party any time. When they get back, Kazuma's party has returned. Darkness is full of wounds, Megumin is being carried, and Aqua is crying. Dust sees him, and practically begs on his hands and knees to switch back with him. After they switch back, Dust is probably one of the only people that know what Kazuma goes through on a daily basis. Now, whenever someone says that Kazuma has it good, Dust the first one to defend him due to his newfound respect. He can't fathom how he's able to handle people like that in a party.
the reason why you guys are confused about the yunyun character has to do with the fact that she was in the season 1 ova, however i don't remember witch one is the actual "canon" first meeting, but i think the s2 ep 2 is the conon version and we only got to see her in season 1 ova because they did not know that they will get to do a season 2 of the anime (if i remember right)
The OVAs aren't canon at all. They're basically fanfiction. You can tell by how out of character the characters act. The true first meeting is when she saves them from the frogs.
For the Megumin backstory, that was in fact Megumin’s sister Komekko, not Yunyun. Yunyun and Megumin are childhood friends, not sisters. You’ll learn more with the movie and Megumin spinoff
- You have to realise that one of Aqua's domains is the arts: anything related to art, she's also good at. - So, kotatsu are considered "traps", wherein they, as tables with a blanket skirt and undertable space heater, are something you sit at and *never leave*, because they're very warm. - Differential hardening is when you layer on some extra material on the sword blank when you quench it so that uncovered and covered areas cool at different rates, allowing a piece of steel with multiple steel characteristics. - Kazuma's kodachi (literally small sword) is a small sword. - Shoujo manga (manga for young women) often go for pretty-faced, "elegant", "noble" characters with big, long, expressive eyelashes.
1:58:52 The stuff that Kazuma makes is actually weird to us because is basic stuff from the 60s up to the 80s (hair pins and also a rollie thing that is use for coffee) but in that world, his inventions are actually revolutionary and unique. So they will be sell for a high prise and have a potential of becoming popular in high society (like royals). But for us there actually a 50 cent item we can find anywhere 😂
There are actually very strict conditions on when Aqua can cast resurrect on a person, however they are only mentioned in the books and not in the anime. Just keep in mind that it is not a simple 'get out of death' card.
One of Aquas duties is caring for the Dead The Undead goes against her station by defying death Demons and devils are techically undead as well representing unlife which goes against Aquas portfolio The frog are immune to blunt damage and water magic which is the basis of the "useless" meme but her water magic does massive damage to undead, devils, and demons Any liquid she touches to purified water and that god requium turn the hot spings into Holy Water with healing properties but the town didnt realize that until later and considered Aqua Herselfvcoming to fight Haans and turning the springs to Holy Water a Miricle in hindsight
Spoiler: You're kind of right on the conspiracy thing. Basically half the reason the Demon King is attacking humanity is because of Aqua's cult followers spreading awful rumors about the Demon King. The other half is because the Megumin's Tribe, the Crimson Demons keep on antagonizing him and his army for kicks. There might be another, more legitimate Demon King reason why he's attacking the human nations, but it's never revealed in the novels.
Love the binge format!. And I'm really grateful for your videos, it really helps me with my anxiety and depression. Hope you guys keep on going, and I'll be here watching and liking your videos.
About his luck, it's VERY good luck. Won't spoil but everything has always had a way of working out in some stupidly fantastical way. First season, yeah, being sent to a different world was a lucky break for him as well. His luck is actually EVERYTHING...
25:38 You can think of their first meeting with Yunyun as a standalone story in the OVA. This is their first time meeting her in the actual main story.
we've established in other comments that ova 1 is not canon, but i still think your idea of yunyun not being remembered and thus reintroduced in every episode she's in. that would be hilarious if that's what they had done.
You guys wondered why it's so peaceful like there's no war. The answers is in the Konosuba movie which is canon (based of the light novel) and the reason is because the demonlord army always kept at bay by the countries that's bordering it and if the 3rd season finally came out, it should explain more. If not, then the 4th season might. I've read till the end and there's always an explanation later on. To bad the anime and movie only covered 5 vol. if I'm not mistaken.
The mansion was given to Kazuma team in last season remember? There's no way they can rent a big mansion like that. Remember the noble ask Wiz but Wiz recommended Kazuma team.
I had that question myself as in every anime bath water is always green, I thought it was a stylistic choice. But in Japan the bath is a type of relaxation you wash outside of the bath and then relax in the water. So they have a general love for things like bath salts and one of the best known is one that turns the water green for their comfort.
The 11th episode in Season 1 was known as an OVA (Original Video Animation) it's just a for fun episode that doesn't actually account for the story. So that's why YunYun was introduced in this again. That ltitle girl in the flashbacks was Megumin's sister as well.
In the epilogue of book 4 (where the Arcanletia episodes take place), it is revealed that the high preists of the Axis Church figured out that Aqua is the godess they worship. And that the purified water has healing properties & will make them more money than the hot springs. The Axis Church is feared because they are zealots and even the Demon King's army avoid them. They believe that when they die, they'll go to Japan.
25:10 Episode 11 of season 1 is not an actual episode of the series (that's why season 2 picks up after ep 10), but an anime original, an OVA, it didn't happen in the source material, and it doesn't adhere to the canon chronology. Same happens with ep 11 of season 2 (3:04:35); the movie, that officiates as season 3, picks up after ep 10
If I remember correctly the katana smiths back in the day used a heat treatment technique where they cover the spine of the blade in clay (or something) and heat treat it so the cutting edge is hardened and the spine is flexible
I love how you do many questions of things that doesn't fit (like why there is no demon king minions around, or about vanir, weez and all) but later in the novel everything has a reason and a development, including the relationship between Kazuma and the group. They are so lucky having an overpower group. Megumin's magic has a reason to be and why is so powerful, darkness is a fucking tank and aqua is a goddess that can resurrect everybody without problems, but sacred magic doesn't work against normal things. This is a such a great story.
Vanir wants to be a Dungeon Boss, his treasure that the heroes get after defeating him is a note that says. "You get NOTHING, YOU LOOSE!!!!! GOOD DAY SIR"
Really enjoying rewatching this as a reaction. Also the last episode of season 1 with the choker was an ova, which is why it's causing confusion. It's kind of like a non canon special episode, where they just do a goofy plot and put loads of fan service in.
Wiz isn't a Demon she's a Lich which is an Undead Wizard being kept alive by magic. That's why she starts fading when Aqua cleanses her, she's basically bringing peace to her soul and sending her to heaven. They mentioned Yunyun is the Daughter of the Chief of the Crimson Demon Village and is the heir and future leader of the Crimson Demons, so she is wealthy. Also remember Kazuma made a deal with Vanir, to sell products he comes up with from his world. So their actually good on money now. Yes don't forget the movie it's great also the Megumin Spin off is great.
The best part is that tying and throwing Aqua in a lake would be an effective way to show that she is who she says she is, as she can breath under water due to being a water goddess
That episode in S1 with Yunyun was actually an OVA episode, its basically not canon. In the context of this show the first time the party meets Yunyun is S2E2. You're calling Aqua selfish when she's openly spoken about her commitment to the wellness of her people and has been trying to save them from what she thinks is an attack? Uhh... Aqua has killed 2 out of the 3 generals they've taken down. She does a lot.
24:44 basically, it's my understanding the series treats the events of the season 1 OAV as having not happened (i.e. it's just a non canon episode), hence Kazuma not recognizing her.
Just want to say I searched for the series and found this super cut and love it and appreciate it. It’s easy to binge while doing other tasks like cooking or cleaning.
Someone (I don't remember the channel) made these 4 idiots in D&D, and for darkness he gave her a combination that in order to hit something she would have to roll like 4 nat 20s. It isn't like she can't hit shit, but it makes it almost impossible and, when she actually manages to hit, she hits like a truck without considering her strength at all. It's the worst thing ever, but it's tempting to try it while drunk
It was an OVA. And also not canon. That's why the real first meeting is in episode 2 of the second season. Because they actually hadn't met yet. The season 2 OVA isn't canon either. The OVAs are just animated fanfiction, essentially.
As if your answer for 38:04 The Last episode of S1, the Wish Granting Choker is actually an OVA OVAs are not part of main story. And keep the Mix Bath Girl in mind.... She's the first face with Megumin in Konosuba - Explosion on this Wonderful World
I should explain the green water in Japan it is considered rude to wear a strong scent so a lot of soaps and deodorant are scent less so they bathe with herbs as a way to clean themselves over the more common western tradition of heavily perfumed soap. So a hot spring will add lots of expensive and rare items to the springs to give them a clean and unique sent and Aqua purified them out of the waters.
oh yeah Wes, let's just say that the people in the Konosuba world is just... that way, even the people from our srs business irl world just becomes... just like them after a point! :D btw there's an OVA and a Megumin spinoff, I think you guys are gonna love them!
Important note about Season 1 OVA episode. That took place after they already met Yun-yun and after Darkness returned to the party. So lets say OVA 1 took place between Season 2 episode 5 to episode 6.
Chomusuke just likes jiggly things, it's not specifically boobs. If you watch megumine's Konosuba, you'll get it. Also Wes it right, the little kid is megumine's little sister called komeko.
weird thing about the OVA(it's not really Ep11) is they added Yun Yun to add more girls for the plot I guess. It's not LN canon and it's purely original, they probably thought they won't make a season 2 while making the OVA.
57:10 Well the reason Kazuma and others unable to recognize Darkness is her outfit and aura does not match with her image of pervy knight with armor. When somebody you are familiar with wear clothes completely different from she was before, you may be confused for that gap. Although Darkness is a lady from wealthy noble family, she does not act like one in usual days. You guys really should focus more on reading context and following lines rather than minor background details.
Darkess outranks Lord Aldep, her dad is the Regional Lord and she is a Dutchess of the Region......he just wanted revenge for Kazuna blowing up his house and she was interfering The Ova with the choker wasnt cannon, the episode with the Frogs is the first time Yun-Yun is back in town from traveling abroad after separating from Megumuin to gain levels
At 1:51:07 you mention there not being a lot of drugs in anime... allow me to provide one of the few examples where they do show up: In Black Lagoon when a character called Roberta goes on a bloodlust rampage, she does so while cracked out on a particular prescription drug, the drug name on the bottle reads "methylphenidate", which means that Roberta was getting cranked up on Ritalin, an amphetamine lol.
2:01:35 I just love seeing how this show corrupts you into thinking that every single step taken is actually something that can go horribly wrong 😂. But in reality, the author decided to finally give them a bit of a good time 😂😂 2:14:06 Nah, this one is safe, we can just vibe over it 🙃. Or can we 🤨
for me it was like : 1. kazuma sometimes make problems but he is the reason they can solve all problems 2. darkness sometimes make problems but going straight to the problems to -protecc- get hit (that's a really good tanker but the party panic because she's horni so sometimes they don't remember how many hard hit she can actually take) 3. megumin make problems but able to give damage that sometimes solves all the problem 4. aqua, almost all of the problem is because of her even though she's overpowered the situation because the healing and res. yeah, aqua is the most useless.
In fact, they need Kuzuma as a leader. They all have strong abilities, but without him they can't handle using them effectively. It is kuzuma who is usually the brain of their operations and plans, he has all the qualities for this, he is cynical and insightful, which in their treacherous world is necessary for survival.
Regarding the thing about Kazuma meeting Yunyun for the first time twice, the OVA as far as I'm aware isn't canon. I think it was made how it was for fans of the original light novel who wanted to see Yunyun in the anime early since the makers of the anime didn't know if they would get a season 2. Season 2 Episode 2 is the canonical introduction of Yunyun.
In doujin (basically fanmade porn parody manga) a common trope is the beautiful female knight who gets violated by all manner of nasty figures along her journey from goblins and orcs to pervy corrupt noblemen. Darkness is the personification and a reverse of that trope where she actually wants to be violated but it never happens.
@@jaryl13 Wrong. Doujin are any form of self-published creative works of an existing media. Things that configure doujin are: manga, magazines, novels, music, anime and video games. Doujin are not intrinsically sexual in nature, an artist can make a lewd doujin, but that doesn't mean every doujin is lewd.
Steph and Wes are about 50/50 with their commentary. Some of it they're overthinking, and sometimes they guess the plot to one of the future light novels.
1:51:00 The thing about drugs in Japan is that, the Japanese government at least, see drugs as a big no-no. During the Olympics in fact, there was a bit of controversy over people not being able to use their normal medication because some of them, like Adderall that people take for ADHD, are banned in Japan. They also will readily arrest you if you have even a tiny bit of weed.
@@dungeonashu2987 'our' is very much correct. It can be generally used for endearment like in this case, or congratulating someone, such as in, they do something great, and you say "amazing, now that's our friend!". You don't understand English past a shallow level, mate.
That blonde adventurer that Kazuma gave a ticket to a dreamland has his own 7 tome story. And a really good story tbh, a little bit more classical fantasy then main konosuba line, but still goofy and somehow deep.
The episode with Yun Yun that had them do all of the stupid task for the chocker was the OVA for the second season, not the first. That is why they didn't know her.
3:08:15 But Wiz is not a member of the party. And while Darkness doesn't solve problems, her being a meatshield is occasionally useful, like against Vanir's little puppets, and Lalatina is the whole reason the party still exists. Darkness does not solve problems, but Lalatina saved Kazuma's life, and she's the sole reason they could face Hans in the last episode
It is fun watching you react to series I have watched myself. So, enjoy the movie, that was a fun one. And the new series that focus on Megumine, is a great one so far. So looking forward to your reaction to the surprise twist in the story that gets revieled in this series.
Bruh did they really just say Aquas God Requiem from the OVA was the best one they’ve seen and the coolest Aqua has been shown yet?! I swear they just disregarded her completely going off in the final episode right before that lol
I Suggest Watching Issekai Quartet season 1 and 2 Next you will so love that show since konosuba is a part of that show as well as tanya the evil,Overlord and RE:zero
To clarify a little bit of the confusion, since they don't seem to understand it yet, Konosuba is supposed to be a anime where each episode is separate (aside from the ones where they have to split the episode in 2 because of the episode's length), because this went to televisions on Japan, so each time a event that already accured is repeated it's, most times, supposed to show people who are new to the show what normally happens on the anime. (That is, aside from the succubus scene, which is part of the manga, that one was chosen just because they needed a filler episode to put in)
2:00:26 Everything that has happened up to now, is actually in the town there in (yep, is actually a pretty big town) while the other places that are near the devil king, are actually the zones that only high level people go to Also, there are people in the town who are actually high level, but they just don't leave because how comfortable they have gotten in the town 😂😂 (this is not a spoiler because it's mention in "The Destroyer" episode from season 1)
kazuma's plan was to lure the slime into a hole so megumin could use explosion magic in an enclosed space and preventing it from scattering its poison all over the water source.
funny thing is: Only the first panty Steal was an accident. Kazuma has complete and total control of the skill afterwards and onwards. He's just a perv.
no, he doesn't, the steal ability is completely based on the user's luck, kazuma is very lucky, so he will always take what is considered the best prize for him, the first time the best prize would be his wallet, but as chris is luckier than him, he got the second best prize, her panties
With the Megumin spin off having been adapted into a prequel anime now, I wonder if the Dust spin off will get an anime eventually? I can't wait for the movie reaction, maybe we'll get to see a reaction to the Megumin spin off too, hopefully.
@@LARVideos Well, I know most people don't like the Dust spinoff all that much. But, I do like the fact that it explores his past and that it actually adds weight to his character. I always found it interesting that there was just this guy that Kazuma hung out with. Especially, because Dust has blonde hair which is an indicator of being a noble. I understand the story itself isn't well received and as you mentioned it's not necessary canon, (it's kinda up in the air) due to the author being different. That being said it doesn't break the main canon. Anyway I think it could be cool if adapted well, but I understand your concerns.
Chances are you've already seen Eris (in her human disguise) in the show several times... Kazuma is so taken with her that I bet he would cherish any piece of her clothing and treat it as an heirloom in his family ;‐)
A couple of things about the Party. Aqua uses magic to make her panties invisible so no "pervs" can see them. (Ironic I know but she's an idiot) which is why it looks like she doesn't wear any. Kazuma in the Light Novel expressed that he feels Megumin would be the only good match for him out of the others. And seeing as she's the one that is always catching him in his lies and can even be shady as hell herself it makes sense. They are basically twins lol. He also only sees Darkness as sexy but wouldn't want to be in a seripus relationship with her. And has literally no affection for Aqua outside of a brotherly/best friend type of bond. Like he doesn't even get turned on by her although he states she is beautiful multiple times.

Yeah some of the cut stuff with Dust is pretty funny.
(Like Mitsurugi with an actual harem)
Dust is basically seen as a delinquent in the city.
He can't fathom how he's able to handle people like that in a party.
the reason why you guys are confused about the yunyun character has to do with the fact that she was in the season 1 ova, however i don't remember witch one is the actual "canon" first meeting, but i think the s2 ep 2 is the conon version and we only got to see her in season 1 ova because they did not know that they will get to do a season 2 of the anime (if i remember right)
Makes sense.
The OVAs aren't canon at all. They're basically fanfiction. You can tell by how out of character the characters act.
The true first meeting is when she saves them from the frogs.
@@LARVideos more like the OVA supposed to be after they all met with yunyun and wiz.
@@DBT1007 There's no actual place it's supposed to be since it never actually happens in the novels. It's just a "what if" scenario.
For the Megumin backstory, that was in fact Megumin’s sister Komekko, not Yunyun. Yunyun and Megumin are childhood friends, not sisters. You’ll learn more with the movie and Megumin spinoff
Not to mention that Megumin did tell Kazuma that her and Yunyun were the same age while they were in the bathing together.
I'm a big fan of these Supercuts over here. I've been patiently waiting for this S2.

The stuff that Kazuma makes is actually weird to us because is basic stuff from the 60s up to the 80s (hair pins and also a rollie thing that is use for coffee) but in that world, his inventions are actually revolutionary and unique.
One of Aquas duties is caring for the Dead
The Undead goes against her station by defying death
Demons and devils are techically undead as well representing unlife which goes against Aquas portfolio
The frog are immune to blunt damage and water magic which is the basis of the "useless" meme but her water magic does massive damage to undead, devils, and demons
Any liquid she touches to purified water and that god requium turn the hot spings into Holy Water with healing properties but the town didnt realize that until later and considered Aqua Herselfvcoming to fight Haans and turning the springs to Holy Water a Miricle in hindsight
Kazuma's Luck, is so impressive.
That when he was in a other city, he made a cassino run out of money, just by wining every single time.
Spoiler:
You're kind of right on the conspiracy thing. Basically half the reason the Demon King is attacking humanity is because of Aqua's cult followers spreading awful rumors about the Demon King. The other half is because the Megumin's Tribe, the Crimson Demons keep on antagonizing him and his army for kicks. There might be another, more legitimate Demon King reason why he's attacking the human nations, but it's never revealed in the novels.
i get the feeling you could make the whole story an one side essay if aqua didnt exist in this universe

Well.. most of the movie was canon. The last third (except for the last few seconds).. was fanfiction like the OVAs. I don't know why they did that...
It surprised me that in just 2 anime and a movie we already met ¾ of the demonlord generals and kill -4- 3 of them and friends with 2
The mansion was given to Kazuma team in last season remember? There's no way they can rent a big mansion like that. Remember the noble ask Wiz but Wiz recommended Kazuma team.
I had that question myself as in every anime bath water is always green, I thought it was a stylistic choice.
But in Japan the bath is a type of relaxation you wash outside of the bath and then relax in the water. So they have a general love for things like bath salts and one of the best known is one that turns the water green for their comfort.
I always though it was for censorship reasons.
Expectation: Excalibur.
Reality: Chunchunmaru.
It takes a demon to be a real troll
Really enjoying rewatching this as a reaction.
Also the last episode of season 1 with the choker was an ova, which is why it's causing confusion. It's kind of like a non canon special episode, where they just do a goofy plot and put loads of fan service in.
And make the characters act really out of character for comedic effect.
Megumin's kitten is a Behemoth in her true form.
She is a S-Class Monster but looks like a Cat and she lives as Megumin's pet.
Yess I waited for this for so long yay!!!
Yunyun is best girl. She is too good for Kazuma's party.
The best part is that tying and throwing Aqua in a lake would be an effective way to show that she is who she says she is, as she can breath under water due to being a water goddess
Yun-Yun's Canon intro was Season 2 Ep 2. The episode you watched in Season 1 was a OVA that was set after the end of season 2
It isn't canon. And it doesn't really fit anywhere in the timeline.
Season 2 OVA isn't canon either.
56:37 I find hilarious that a pervert such as Kazuma doesn't even remotely perceives Aqua as a sexual being anymore.
Aqua had cast a spell that prevents Kazuma from getting a boner from seeing her.
as a true axis believer, I would like to thank you for reacting to this.
I love how during Darkness's rant about her perfect man, Kazuma and Aqua are so disturbed they are holding hands!
24:44 basically, it's my understanding the series treats the events of the season 1 OAV as having not happened (i.e. it's just a non canon episode), hence Kazuma not recognizing her.
Season 2 OVA isn't canon either.
With yunyun, episode 11 is basically an OVA, there was a chance people hadn't seen her before. I thought I was crazy too for both episodes.
It was an OVA. And also not canon. That's why the real first meeting is in episode 2 of the second season. Because they actually hadn't met yet.
The season 2 OVA isn't canon either. The OVAs are just animated fanfiction, essentially.
As if your answer for 38:04
The Last episode of S1, the Wish Granting Choker is actually an OVA
OVAs are not part of main story.
I really love how KonoSuba manages to give a realistic portraition of any religion in just 2.5 episodes.
oh yeah Wes, let's just say that the people in the Konosuba world is just... that way, even the people from our srs business irl world just becomes... just like them after a point! :D
btw there's an OVA and a Megumin spinoff, I think you guys are gonna love them!
Darkess outranks Lord Aldep, her dad is the Regional Lord and she is a Dutchess of the Region......he just wanted revenge for Kazuna blowing up his house and she was interfering
The Ova with the choker wasnt cannon, the episode with the Frogs is the first time Yun-Yun is back in town from traveling abroad after separating from Megumuin to gain levels
Y’all should watch Blue Lock next, I think you’ll enjoy it to be your first sports anime
At 1:51:07 you mention there not being a lot of drugs in anime... allow me to provide one of the few examples where they do show up:
In Black Lagoon when a character called Roberta goes on a bloodlust rampage, she does so while cracked out on a particular prescription drug, the drug name on the bottle reads "methylphenidate", which means that Roberta was getting cranked up on Ritalin, an amphetamine lol.
2:01:35
I just love seeing how this show corrupts you into thinking that every single step taken is actually something that can go horribly wrong 😂.
But in reality, the author decided to finally give them a bit of a good time 😂😂
2:14:06
Nah, this one is safe, we can just vibe over it 🙃.
Or can we 🤨
for me it was like :
1. kazuma sometimes make problems but he is the reason they can solve all problems
2. darkness sometimes make problems but going straight to the problems to -protecc- get hit (that's a really good tanker but the party panic because she's horni so sometimes they don't remember how many hard hit she can actually take)
3. megumin make problems but able to give damage that sometimes solves all the problem
4. aqua, almost all of the problem is because of her even though she's overpowered the situation because the healing and res.
yeah, aqua is the most useless.
In fact, they need Kuzuma as a leader. They all have strong abilities, but without him they can't handle using them effectively. It is kuzuma who is usually the brain of their operations and plans, he has all the qualities for this, he is cynical and insightful, which in their treacherous world is necessary for survival.
After watching the movie, there's a megumin spin-off that's almost finished
Calling doujin a "fanmade porn parody manga" the same as calling the "stepbrother I'm stuck" trope a Hollywood movie.
@@LuizFelipe-lk1hs ??
Doujins are literally fanmade porn parody manga. What are you talking about?
@@jaryl13 Wrong. Doujin are any form of self-published creative works of an existing media. Things that configure doujin are: manga, magazines, novels, music, anime and video games. Doujin are not intrinsically sexual in nature, an artist can make a lewd doujin, but that doesn't mean every doujin is lewd.
@@LuizFelipe-lk1hs Point taken. You're right. Your first comment still makes no sense but eh.

Dude. The concept of time in isekai... don't question it. Since it's involve going trough time and space. What year you'll ended up in doesn't matter.
The episode with Yun Yun that had them do all of the stupid task for the chocker was the OVA for the second season, not the first. That is why they didn't know her.

Now we need a season 3 reaction!
(That is, aside from the succubus scene, which is part of the manga, that one was chosen just because they needed a filler episode to put in)
2:00:26
Everything that has happened up to now, is actually in the town there in (yep, is actually a pretty big town) while the other places that are near the devil king, are actually the zones that only high level people go to

kazuma's plan was to lure the slime into a hole so megumin could use explosion magic in an enclosed space and preventing it from scattering its poison all over the water source.
And all over everyone gathered there, since it would've killed all of them
funny thing is: Only the first panty Steal was an accident.

I hope not. I don't consider the Dust spinoff to be canon.
I'm just glad Konosuba is getting a season 3. It's actively hilarious.
@@HarryAyA Wait, the dust spin off wasn't well received? Why is that?
Chances are you've already seen Eris (in her human disguise) in the show several times... Kazuma is so taken with her that I bet he would cherish any piece of her clothing and treat it as an heirloom in his family ;‐)
For people with high imagination just like me,they have a high chance to figure her human persona....I realize it instantly during season 1.
