- My backyard is looking fabulous. Still a lot to do, but I definitely feel like we are nearing its completion. I’m especially excited about the greens in the raised beds.

I didn’t’t think it was possible for you to have a more beautiful garden than your previous home, but you have! Just beautiful, Linda!
I agree and smaller and more manageable! I have learned so much from linda.
❤i agree ☺️ so beautiful Linda
This backyard has really transformed since the last video tour that got a lot of negativity. Looks great - not cluttered.
I’m glad the rain-barrow broke because the three pots that replaced it look beautiful in that spot!
Loving 🥰 the backyard. One suggestion though. You have several large pots right next to your beautiful handrails. You have a wealth of space on your steps. Have you thought of putting the pots up the middle sort of like your boxwood villages. Then your handrails won’t be cluttered with trip hazard’s.
I agree, they could be lined up with that pipe in the ground also to prevent accidents there and that would give room to hold onto the railing and allow better access to the serving table from the door.
I would love to see more working in the garden videos. I love to see how a space/project comes together from start to finish.
Perhaps you could put the olive trees in larger pots. They look top heavy in the ones you currently have them in and thus will continue to fall over when it's windy.
Plantskyd in my containers helps deter chipmunks and squirrels. I also put plastic forks tine side up until the plants get bigger.
Your back yard is a true oasis, absolutely beautiful. For those who just a few weeks ago were critiquing your backyard, you certainly showed them! ❤
Your garden is beautiful. I live 20 miles South of you. I’m 75 yrs old and 5’ tall, but I always manage to drain my six rain barrels and turn them upside down to keep them from freezing. I will be uprighting them again in a few days. I place the floating mosquito rings in them in spring and again 3 mo later.
😂😂😂
@@rhondabryanthistlethwaite5351 You think this is funny? I’d be happy to have you come over and help me.
Congratulations! I loved the back patio in your old home so much, but I wasn’t so sure about how the new one was gonna come together, but it has, and it looks terrific. I stole so many ideas from your old back patio that I call mine “the Linda Vater Patio.”
I love the Japanese Maple, the garden is so beautiful!
Your backyard is looking prettier and prettier. Love it.
Oh, I love all the developments! The addition of the Japanese maple is so inspired.
Your gardens are indeed looking fabulous! Looking forward to seeing which David Austin rose you’ve chosen. Sorry you lost your hydrangea. Favourite edible garden green is any colourful loose leaf lettuce.
There is nothing better for me than a huge bowl of fresh tender spinach from my garden with a vinaigrette dressing with hard boiled eggs and slivered radishes ......... Its the best..... Of course, with a grilled Angus Burger !!!!!!
I love your coppery-orange-bronze color palette!
I love the brick work in the backyard
Linda the hellebore on your beautiful back steps is gorgeous! One of my favorite plants.
I love baby romaine lettuce. Just so wonderful to have fresh home grown.
So envious that you all in Oklahoma are ahead of us in the NC mountains.
Really enjoy your show.🌷
I like your table movies in that direction .
You are such an inspiration I really appreciate everything that you do and you inspire me almost every day. I am also a self-taught Gardner and you inspire. So much thank you.
Linda, I love the new maple tree in your backyard. What a beautiful solution to cover the electrical pipes… on the brick wall!
Love the Japanese maple going in that spot! The whole back yard looks lovely, which is quite a feat with very young shrubs. I’m a fan of the grasses, 21:51 as well.
Absolutely beautiful you have such an eye for design it’s so incredible. Glad you’re slowing down and back to your gardening such a busy lady. ❤
Linda, I am so happy to see how the backyard is coming along, beautiful.
I love the intimacy of your back garden!
It’s looking serene and lovely. The back steps look great
Back is certainly beautiful!
Your backyard is a work of art!!! And you've accomplished that in one year!! Today, because of you, I bought 3 Southern Living Sunshine ligustrums. My plan is to keep them trimmed to no more than 3 feet tall and in spherical shapes, fingers crossed. I see that you have replaced your table top with a wooden one. Yay! Please tell me that you will put your gorgeous clay pots back on your shelving unit. That design of yours was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Have a lovely Easter. ❤
This is gorgeous and inspirational! The way the olive trees move, undulate, in the wind is mesmerizing. Every solution you have found is spot on. I have never grown vegetables, but that Romain is to die for. My cantaloupe had to be covered at dusk each evening to protect them from field mice, so I decided this was too labor intensive. With cost of produce rising, I might purchase cloches and make the dive again. Thank you for this and all your videos and inspiration, Linda. I didn't think you could ever trump your previous homes' gardens, but you have!
Everything looks beautiful, Linda! 💚
Hi Linda, I love your backyard. You're amazing, your front yard , what can I say, a show stopper!! Love your videos!!❤ Happy Easter to you and your family!!🤗
Wow ! Just Wow!! Linda everything in the front and back garden is just so beautiful! You have pulled them together so quickly. It’s like your gardens have been there forever. I hope you have a wonderful Easter celebration with your family and friends. He is risen! 🙌🏻🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺
Love the extended patio, and the Japanese Maple!!!
Thank you for braving the wind Linda 🌬 the back is looking 👌🏻 'FABULOUS' As you say 😀 but when I read some comments I find it so rude and insensitive to be so critical of what someone has chosen to do in their own home or garden. I find your video's always inspiring 🤩
It is looking great. I love the Japanese maple idea
Linda, your backyard is magazine worthy!! My favorite leafy green is Dinosaur Kale; edible and beautiful. I love everything you do....except when you say "heighth". 😊 I'm sure it's a colloquialism, but it's like nails on a chalkboard for me. ❤❤❤❤
Just stunning, I love everything you have done.💚 Texas 9b
So beautiful. Everything is lovely and so much thought has gone into every detail. Miraculous that so much has been accomplished in a short period of time. You are an artist, Linda❤
I noticed the wooden top for the outdoor table has arrived. It looks so good, as does the yard.
So beautiful
I love it all but especially the back garden 😊
Linda the back garden looks absolutely amazing!
Ooooo, it is looking great! I love the warm garden palette. It goes nicely with the warm brick patio. It must be warmer there than here in Maryland if you can have your geraniums out. 🌸🌸🌸
Everything looks wonderful, no need to apologize for today’s video. Always enjoy your one on one walkabouts in the garden and seeing all that you’ve accomplished this past week.🪴💚
We've had squirrels here, too, and I've had good luck with hot pepper flakes, cinnamon and garlic to deter them. Toothpicks or bamboo skewers work well, too.
I agree with the others that I like the backyard better then the front- beautiful! Also , you need to fox that gutter downspout! An easy fix unless u want it buried!
We appreciate you being in Indy.
The backyard looks fabulous!
I love chives, regular and garlic. The flowers they have are a bonus! ❤
Stunning back yard . I think you have the perfect ratio of plants to hard scape .
💚LOVE💚 how the backyard is coming together, Linda! It’s already pretty spectacular but can’t wait to watch it evolve as you continue to grace it with your iconic signature touches! 🪴
Thanks for the update video! And thanks for answering my “question of the week” about the rain barrel! I was so curious about it! The topiary looks wonderful in its new spot where the rain barrel had been… 😎🇨🇦
So beautiful! Please show us the Holly Hocks you seeded beside the garage. Hopefully, with the extra rain, there is some germination. Get some rest 😴 ❤❤
Its beginning to look more beautiful
Looks stunning
I love the railings on porch
Absolutely beautiful Linda.
A top tip to stop the squirrels, is placing short twigs of bramble or rose stems across the surface. You don't need too many, but the thorns deter them 😊
Looks gorgeous!
Backyard is looking great! It's amazing what can be done with a space!
Hi Linda this is Mary. I can feel the magic in your backyard. The stairs look fabulous with the way you have staged the pots. Is that one hellebore or several in the pot looks so lush. I am so excited for the Linda magic to continue to unfold and inspire me and everyone to create our own. Thank you ❤
My favorite leafy green would be spinach. Love the step in the backyard accented with your potted plants.
I love everything about the backyard. I love the colors, the grouping of tulips, the new Japanese Maple, and the trio of baskets at the corner of the garage. So sorry you lost the Oak Leaf Hydrangea. This has been a lot of work but it truly looks wonderful!
I love growing a variety of lettuce, because you can cut it all summer and it just keeps growing!
Love the back garden.❤️❤️❤️
The back garden is stunning. Love the complimentary red/orange/ green color palette. I've been using red pepper in my containers and bird feeders. First thing that has ever seemed to keep the squirrels from digging or getting the seed.
I am speechless! SImply BEAUTIFUL!
Your backyard is really coming together. The second Japanese maple is genius, it balances the other one and looks so beautiful in light green. I like the table turned in the other direction.
this video is tremendous! I actually like the back yard more than the front... I always get excited when you go there. I have been thinking about why that is and I think it's because it's private, an outdoor room and I love pots . The garden also looks practical, and that is its triumph !
Hi Linda, Can we see a few pics of your Easter table. I know you can do an entire video, but I would love to see how it all looks. Hope u get some time to relax!!
I really like the N to S orientation of the table. It really opens up the big patio area and moves the eye all the way to the fence. Each table top, glass/wood, seems to really work with this new sight line.
The new placement of the big wooden chairs, and the addition of the new maple give a symmetry and sophistication to the stairs.
It’s a lovely composition.
I love the back garden Linda. Your usage of bricks and stone is absolutely gorgeous. I love the tulips popping up here and there. When you moved I was in shock but knowing your channel I knew that the transformation going forward was going to be absolutely amazing. Honestly I’m so thankful to be a part of this. To see that process for a new garden. You’re an inspiration.
Beautiful! I love the addition of the new Japanese Maple. I also love the wood table top on your dining table. Everything is so pretty and welcoming. You have certainly created an outdoor living and dining space.❤
Your backyard looks beautiful ! The stairs are very well placed & all of the pots look pretty great ! You have accomplished so much in such a short time ! I'm sorry your rain barrel "busted" from the ice, but I commend you for trying to conserve water; I would be very proud of myself if I were you !! From Georgia with love ❤
Your backyard is looking terrific!
So enjoyed meeting you and hearing your talk at the okc Home & Garden Show . Your talk was very inspiring. Thanks so much for signing my books.😊
Love this garden Linda, what a great vision and you made it come thru!! Cheers
I enjoyed growing spinach last year. It was just enough to add to my morning eggs!
Everything looks so pretty. I love the pots on the steps and the beautiful new Japanese Maple.
All so beautiful! I would consider a better placement for that shed over near that other fence, near the air conditioner. It would allow more space as you enter the back yard. Just a suggestion. Love the back steps.
Wow Linda, your backyard looks incredible 😍
Black Seeded Simpson is my favorite lettuce to grow. So tender and sweet. Makes the yummiest of salads!
Rainbow chard is about the prettiest I’ve grown.
I love how it’s turning out. You definitely have so much to feel proud of yourself. 🪴🤗
I think the Orange tulip in your backyard is called Avalanche.
Love the backyard. Looks absolutely fabulous. Inspirational. I will be copying some of your ideas here in Kildare, Ireland. I also planted similar color tulips. They are .beautiful .
💚☘
Hi Linda! Your back yard is looking great! Don’t know if you’ve shown a before picture lately, but I’m sure the difference is awe-inspiring! I too would love to know the name of the evergreen tree in the pot on your patio table. It is such a unique choice and I love it!
Just lovely!
Linda, your gardens are just beautiful, love, love the backyard
Linda! I see you got your wooden table top (replaced your glass top)! It looks great! Your garden is such a treat to see! It's all coming along beautifully!
Your back garden looks so good! It must feel wonderful to see your ideas become tangible.
At the end when you panned from the living and dining area to the barbecue area, I imagined a Platinum Beauty over there as well as a plant echo.
Hi, Linda. Thank you for your video. Have a good week. ❤
Oh your raised gardens are growing like crazy! Nice.
I like butter crunch lettuce.
I like to grow mesculin and romaine. Love the tulips in the back.
Looks fabulous! I love the tweaks to the back garden. The bbq/potting area looks more cohesive.
Hard to pick a favorite green! I guess chard is my fav, but i also grow curly kale, lettuce, microgreens, collards, and anything that grabs me.
Have you every tried a few moth balls in your raised beds to keep squirrels out . Helps me in planters .👍👍
Beautiful Linda. The new maple is a Great addition to the garden, love the symmetry of both maples flanking the steps. I think adding the rose to the wall will make that area softer and give great colour too .. another great idea I’m excited to see. I’d love to see a climber across the back trellis too as I personally think it looks a little hard with so much grey .. but it’s all coming together now ❤❤❤ well done Linda .. love from the uk 🇬🇧
Arugula is my favorite leafy greens to grow.
Everything looks amazing , Lnda!
I did a double take at your opening staged shot bc it looked so much like your old backyard stairway. And I love your tall planters too, so modern. I must have missed what happened to your Silverado Sage tree. It was so gorgeous, did it die?
Spinach is my favorite green to grow
Hi! I came to OKC to see you in Saturday at the garden show but was too late. I though you were on at 5as well as at noon but that was Friday. Sorry I missed you. I did drive past your house to see the front garden and it is gasp worthy! Oh my word it is stunning! Maybe I’ll catch you next time.
I love arugula and basil in summer
