  • A Sunday in the workshop in early March 2019 - Jim is fixing up a 1997 BETA Techno that has not been ridden since 2003. As the rear fenders are getting difficult to find, and this is a project at this point, Jim does a re-do of a previous repair to the rear fender. Using some plastic for reinforcement, Jim shows you his method of "pop-rivet repair" of this very badly broken rear fender.

Funny enough, I discovered fender liners for these repairs a few years back as well. I even molded some into a complete new rear fender for a vintage trials bike, which is now nigh unbreakable due to flexibility. This material also works well for mounted license plates on dualsport bikes.
