It looks very promising (02:21:37), maybe it's time to finish it? With the C64 having a new golden age of sorts, it's the perfect time :)). Maybe you could give some comments on it here: www.gamesthatwerent.com/gtw64/oolong/
Yeah Mythos (02:15:11) almost looks like a 16bit Jrpg in places; very nice pixelart. Unfortunately Spooky 3:11:30 is in 'development hell' atm. I Hope it will be released in the not too far future though. It looks to become an amazing title indeed! For more background info about the title go here: www.gamesthatwerent.com/gtw64/spooky/
I don't understand why people want to make more and more and more Space games... The C64 is capable of so much more than Space shooters. How about doing more adventure games and RPG's and even finish some good ones that are original which would be great.
Be sure to check out 'Briley Witch' when it comes to JRPG's or 'HIred Sword II'. I agree with the shooters (especially in the past); but there are more and more games currently coming out in other genres.
Please do! (I consider it part of the 'soon-to-be..' part anyways :) ) That game (57:22) looks extremely promising! Maybe do cartridge only? If the game has good levels and gameplay, it will definitely be worth selling too!
@@rwxdesigns Ah yes, I'm aware of Tiki and your other projects! (I'm actually following your channel) I only included upcoming titles that have a playable demo (I recorded the previews myself). 'Awesome Slam Siblings' wasn't included for the same reason. Looking forward to your titles though! And I will make a video ofcourse as soon as there's a demo or full game !
@@Asphodellife thanks - I've also done some graphic work for Awesome Slam Siblings, which is looking really good by the way from a sneaky peak I saw the other week. 😉
You should have tried to delineate the clearly nevers from the soon to bes as some of these games are definitely in active development and some were abandoned years ago.
that's probably hard to do, as some projects are just parked and then returned to, so can't be classed as never. I've got several parked projects, but it doesn't mean they will become a never.
Yeah, I agree. Especially nowadays some 'never' projects are getting started again (like 'Outrage' (02:25:05) for example that IS included as a 'never' here, but was released not long ago. Or the Splatterhouse clone 'Undead' (03:34:15) which was also started up again recently.
Most of the titles are games that were in development but, for whatever reason, never finished. But there are also New upcoming titles like Looter (01:55:48) , Stoker (03:15:27) and Limbo (!) (01:52:47) for example.
@@litjellyfish Correct, just like a few others like 'Outrage' (02:25:05). You'll never know when C64 games that have been 'dormant' for years will get released nowadays :) .
@@Asphodellife I must admit I did not check the whole video 😫 Did you had Spooky in it? For me it was one of the best looking games. Smart use of hires / mc chars and overlayed sprites. Look a bit like a NES game

Thanks for including Oolong... :D Now that was a surprise, been many years since I touched that last time.

It really is amazing that there is still so much potential in a machine with 64k !
Because it's the only 8-bit that has a gpu for sprites and pixel-to-pixel scrolling, as well as good sound.
That 'Bomb' game is looking amazing !!!!
It does (00:27:12). You might also be interested in the resurrected, and recently released, Scramble Infinity: ua-cam.com/video/UAt7J51iVs4/v-deo.html
Beer Belly Bill looks Amazing! as well as Mythos!..it just needs a speed up and to run a bit smoother.....but Spooky? WOW!

Very cool video. Thanks for uploading it. I’m definitely subscribing
Thanks & Welcome then! :)
Wow. Great compo!
Stoker is a MASSIVE achievement.
Really looking forward to that one yes. The designer Rhys Clatworthy sure knows how to use the machine. 3:15:27

Damn, gotta get back to El Loco one day but this game is pure dev hell because of using samples 😃

That must have taken an age to compile up. Kept looking for any snippets of my games which were up and coming, couldn't find any though.. 😉
Which ones; more are always welcome as this is never complete
@@Asphodellife there are plenty I am working on - all detailed on my channel. Tiki is my latest project, which is based on the New Zealand Story.

Too much crap uridium clones, because of SEUCK i guess.
Some look like 16 bit games, :O
Yeah, Uridium spawned lots of bad (unfinished) clones. I'm afraid they're not even 'Seuck' 😄
