    Been on carnivore for 5 months. I’m 53 years old 5’10” and was up to 300 pounds. I have lost 85 pounds so far. After 3 weeks my blood pressure dropped to the point I stopped taking my medication. I eat ribeyes, strip steaks, burger, salt, water, and electrolytes. (Once a week or two I eat chicken). 2-3 days a week I eat a handful of blackberries or blueberries. I honestly feel like I’m 23 again. No inflammation or joint pain anymore.
    Thanks Gritty crew!

    Carnivore is an amazing way to figure out what your body tolerates and doesn't. If you add anything in that's not carnivore like fruit, veggies, grains, etc you will know immediately how it makes you feel and can pin point exactly what it was.

    My native ancestors lived to be 100 years old on the plains eating almost all meat. The pictures of them today look like they're half that age.

    • @thorcarnivore
      @thorcarnivore Місяць тому

      All native ancestors were carnivores. Native Americans are not native because they came from Asia. That's why 'native Americans' have Denisovan DNA. Asians were originally the archaic species Denisovans until they mixed with white man/Cro-magnon.
      The European Solutreans were in America before the Asians. Cro-magnon mixing with the Archaic species (probably not willingly) resulted in 'races'. We know that Africans have up to 20% of DNA from a Super archaic species (probably Homo Erectus or Homo habilis) and we don't have that, so that means the 'Out of Africa theory' is BS because we don't have that DNA...

    Been carnivore for a but over a year. Awsome carnivore hunting experience I tried last year, fasted deer season. When bow season started I went off food, took three days to get my first deer. Never in my life have I felt that level of rush like a true primitive hunter must of felt and that venison tasted better than any kobe beef you could buy. Would reccomend!

    Thanks for sharing. I have been dabbling with the diet, and I think I go whole hog. The one thing I notice for sure is that making red meat and eggs my main source of intake is that the energy is sustainable. I don't get tired as quickly when I run, hike, or whatever I can just keep going. At times, I just don't want to stop. When on high carbs, protein powders, and supplements, I always hit a wall. I am looking forward to seeing how it pans out. Again, thanks for sharing.

    100% agree with you Brad. I am two months into carnivore as an athlete that trains religiously & a hunting guide that hikes her butt off. I found that I burn close to 3500 per day hiking. My salts and sugars summited. I worked the problem with more electrolytes and having the tiny honey straw type packets on board. If anything during carnivore I have seen major health improvements.

    Carnivore for a year. 6ft 7in and was weighing around 270lbs, but after 6 months of only eating beef (fatty), eggs and 6% milk I was down to a very lean and strong 193lbs. I have abs and I am 49. My weight hasn't moved a lb since. Clearer mind, better energy. I get up at 4 am 6 days a week, no problem.
    My energy was so go good that I stopped drinking coffee and I used to drink 2-3 large strong cups of black rifle coffee.
    @ the hosts of the podcast. ***Stop eating bacon.*** Why is bacon so good? It has sugar in it. Why does everyone miss this. It has sugar and other spices that can cause problems! It is the one meat product you should avoid because of the sugar.

    Dudes. Yes. Been carnivore-ish for 3 months. Just did this on a hunt for the first time- a 3-day cow elk hunt in high country MT. Smashed beef, hard boiled eggs, and smoked cheese on the trail. Chugged raw milk back at the truck. I never felt hungry, despite putting in 10 miles and a few thousand feet of elevation per day. Energy off the charts, even though we only slept 3-4 hrs per night. No muscle soreness. Old knee injury: gone.
    Back when I was eating Mountain house and swilling truck beers, I would have been DEAD.
    Instead, I drove 5 hours back home last night, got up today, and feel awesome at work (I listen to your stuff at work). Haven’t eaten in 20 hours. Not a problem.
    This is absolutely the way.

    A key point to the success of eating is only eat when you are hungry. I used to eat breakfast lunch and dinner. Now I could honestly just eat dinner and be fine. I realize there are families involved so they don't have to follow your schedule, but gather at dinner like old times, to discuss events of the day etc. put your phones in a common place so you can be present and limit distractions. Nice job Gents, thanks for being an positive example. Btw been carnivore since Feb and fel awesome

    • @ericcarpenter7184
      @ericcarpenter7184 Місяць тому

      I would definitely recommend carnivore for someone who is overweight and needs to lose excess body fat. Eat your proteins and a small, moderate amount of fat; don’t eat so much fat that you’re adding fat to your meals if you’re trying to get rid of body fat and let your body utilize your own body fat so that you’re still in a calorie deficit for burning your own body fat. The easiest take away, is to slow down on your eating, and immediately stop whenever the food doesn’t taste as good as when you started to eat. You will discover that as your body’s satiation point.

      Here’s a quick little recipe.
      -get a large bowl and fill with ice and salt
      -put smaller bowl in larger bowl
      - pour 1 pint of cream and 5 yolks in the smaller bowl
      -mix for 10 minutes with handheld electric mixer
      -freeze everything for 1 hour
      -take it out and mix for 5 more minutes
      -freeze smaller bowl for 2 hours

    Thanks for the info!Carnivore since January, now protected from sunburns I typically get every summer. Best tan I have ever had without going tropical. No longer need or want to wear sunglasses. I now have hunters wake. Wake up every day before the sun and happy about it. Stopped talking about months ago because average human brain can’t understand and won’t put down their junk food.

    This sounds awesome! My main concern is with my ankylosing spondylitis (inflammation of large joints.)condition. I have to be extra careful with red meats. So far… chicken, seafood and fish are good for me. I have some side effects with deer, elk and bison.

      Are you allergic with red meat? It is very much proven to reduce immflamation of all kinds.

      @@JimWooddell I don’t believe so. I have been a meat eater my whole life. I didn’t start having inflammation until I was about 25. Played college football so I figured it was just old injuries and boy was I wrong! I had stiffness in my neck, aches in my pelvic region…. Man it was brutal! So I went in and had some blood testing done and I ended up having some rare gene 🧬 that is from native/Scandinavian gene something like HLAB27 so anyhow I was told that I need to be on a strict Mediterranean diet. I have yet to attempt the carnivore diet but I am thinking about giving it a try.

    I became allergic to red meat from a tick bite. I was devastated, didn't hunt for a year. Last year I just sat in the stand and watched deer, didn't take a shot. I'm going back out west elk hunting in a couple weeks. Excited to harvest the meat to be able to give away. Is there a way to do carnivore without beef, or pork?

    A carnivore diet lacks fibre, and high fibre intake is one of the biggest factors that is proven to be linked with longevity

      What we have found ourselves and from the research we have done that is not the case. Shawn Baker talked about it and yes, if you are eating a “standard American diet” or lots of carbs and grains, fiber is probably important. You cut that stuff out and only consume meats, maybe some fruits and a little dairy you do not need fiber at all.
