Before I insert plugs into plaster board (drywall), I always apply plenty of strong *construction glue* on them first and in the hole as well.
Once everything is mounted and the adhesive cures, the whole assembly becomes much stronger. When you try to pull the plug out later, it feels like a part of the wall itself.

Great video. However I would still be nervous about hanging anything weighty and/or important from a plasterboard wall. It's just too easy to crack plaster and once it is compromised there is no strength - you could see that starting once the fittings were tightened.

One has to wonder what all that expansion and contraction will do over the years; under their covers, my radiators are just copper/aluminum fin tubes and the mountings have pulled away in a few places. If you could get the brackets on one side over a stud, the other side would have little work to do. Or maybe these radiators should just be shipped with an oak rail, the width of the radiator, which could be drilled over the studs and would hold the load of the brackets at the ends.

That's dangerous, you should not be telling people this, I got a call out today where a radiator had fell onto a child, it was fitted just like that, it needs to be secured to the timber. The little silly butterfly wing fixings are only for small light items, pull the radiator towards you and see what happens!!!

Never hang a radiator on a hollow wall ! if someone pulls the radiator towards them it will cause them injury, so dangerous.

You need about 2-3 inch cavity with toggles , you don't always have that cavity space at the rear and you cant see most of the time what your cavity is! Wit the other fixings you still need a good 25-30mm. All plumbers that are experienced have moved onto Bullfix Plasterboard Fixings( The Bullfix Universal Plasterboard Fixings can squeeze into a cavity of only 7mm) The Bullfix Extra Plasterboard fixing(stronger and larger fingers) can squeeze into a gap of 19mm! One bullfix Universal can hold a mans weight!
