I have my OBS set to 1920x1080. However, I use UA-cam's 1440p stream key and my streams turn out great and in VP9 codec! :)

Note, under Advanced/Sources, some alerts won't show up or even work if you have "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration" checked. ;)

@Kittykatattack So what I do is go to whatever site I'm streaming to and check their recommendation and run a speed test to make sure I can match that bitrate, so for 8k I would say internet speed at least 8 mbps but test it and see get your stuff together like you ready to stream and use stats under docks to check for any drops

All my setting are set to stream at 1080p and I'm using 8000k bit rate like you said. When I start the stream and I go to check it on web it doesnt allow me to put to 1080p only 720. Any ideas? Got 1gb download and 100mb upload internet so that wont be the issue

Did you ensure that, on the output tab, you have disabled rescale output? Are you streaming on Twitch? Have you checked the resolution both from you channel page as well as the stream manager?

Iff use 8000bitrate twitch says the connention is unstable,
6000bitrate no problem,

You are right, but the stream actually works ok, and uses all 8Mbps. Most medium to big streamers use this setting nowadays so we can confirm is safe.
