Thanks again for the shout out. Great reaction! I figured if you like bass, you had to love this! The Shamisen adds such a nice twist to such a groovy sound! These girls are killing it!
Juna can Play Well she is a superb Bassist. And now she is playing Saxophone Too.. and The Shamisen playing is amazing as well. I’m a fan of these Ladies..
I've been following Juna for a little while and she is just incredible....I love funk and she brings it but all of these ladies are kickin' ass in this video
Nice reaction !!! Juna Serita is just an amazing bassist, no matter what style she is playing. This is my favorite version of Tokyo Groove Jyoshi, with Juna, keyboardist Emi Kanazashi, drummer Mi Mi Kawakami and on the Tsugaru Shamisen, Shinobu Kawashima, who I believe is the only artist using the shamisen in jazz/funk at present. She really gives a whole different flavor to the sound. At present Juna is no longer with TGJ and performs with her band The Muses and also with the All-Star female Japanese jazz band, The Jazz Avengers, who you REALLY have to see. They are an 8 member band with an amazing group of artists who are tops in their respective areas. You should also check out their video of the classic "Pick Up The Pieces".
OK, trust me on this one. You have probably never considered listening to a "Violin Cover". Why would you? But this is a must see. Like this song with the traditional "Shamisen", the following song features an awesome violinist in a rock band. Her name is Jill and she's been playing the violin since she was 3 y.o. It will blow you away. Every member of the band is awesome, and each have at least a short solo. You will not be disappointed. Prepare yourself because they come out of the box hot! 【Cover】Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond The Sun (Violin Cover) ua-cam.com/video/E2hZDzJp9Pc/v-deo.html
I usually have streaming issues when I watch Suzzy's videos, but don't seem to have it with others I watch. Does anyone else have this experience, and if so, do you know what it might be? Screen locks up about a dozen times for about 1 second each.
