Hey Matt so after a couple years of experience with the Pluto Plus would you recommend it over the Adalm Pluto? If I am not mistaken they are not made by the same company and I was wondering if the plus actually had the same capabilities as far as modifying with Putty and such. I like the fact that there is a lot of info out on the web for the Adalm Pluto.
Oh yes, your videos are awesome. Very informative, especially for new guys like me.

This is an edit to my previous comment, where I was in despair after spending ages faffing about trying to get the Ethernet connection working with SDR Console. Indeed it does work. You just need to check your ip adresses and make sure everything is on the same local net. Best to define a static Ethernet address on your PC I found. Make sure everything is pingable. Check Windows firewall is not doing a dirty too. Then define this new radio in SDR Console. It's nice also to upgrade to latest 34plus Pluto Plus firmware and check you have URST-MIO46 jumper set correctly. The on board Ethernet facility is only available with the Pluto Plus firmware and not the standard Adalm Pluto of course.

Hi everybody. Just today (29.08.2023) I received the Pluto+ and inside of it there is a AdalmSDR software. This is I am guessing the reason my ethernet port is not working. Where can I get the Pluto+ firmware from? Please let me know - I google and I do not find anything :(

Well, the original Adalm pluto did not have built in ethernet, it also did not have an Ext CLK input without modification. The original also had a sub-par tcxo which drifted lots when it got too warm. So, this is how it should of been ;-) I guess this "should of been" is only relevant to people that know the original Pluto :-)

I cant seem to find a solid answer regarding the DFU button and procedure. I have tried all sorts suggestions. Currently when I push the DFU button it lights up blue for a few seconds then goes into a green 1,2 pulse. My PC does not recognize any ports after the firmware update. Yep, was using the Pluto Plus firmware so I could use the internal Ethernet. Yep, comes pre-loaded too. I haven’t done any extensive tests, only what you see in the video so far. I was more interested in Ethernet usability over 25 metres, and the stability of the new internal tcxo, which as you can see in the video is pretty spot on. A few people have asked about bandwidth, so I may do some further testing with it soon. Thanks for watching 🙏

I just checked a new Pluto+ and if you just plug it into the network, and then power it, you should be able to see it on your router list. Once you know the IP address, you can manually add it as a definition within SDR Console. Also, check which firmware is running by looking at the jumper on the main board. It will either be the custom Pluto+ firmware or the Adalm Pluto firmware. I have a video coming out soon on this topic.

All happend as you shown in your video. When i use an IP-Scanner tool and scan my network i can see my Pluto+ alive on the IP i set in that config-file. But when i try to Ping this IP Adress i get now answer, only timeouts. And in SDR Console i cant find it automaticly and i tried allready to set it up manualy but i dont know if my settings there are correct. The only thing i know about the device is the IP. At the moment i try to get my SDRs working that i once bought. I have an RX888 as well. The will be found automaticly by SDR Console and it starts to work but i have absolutly no reception on HF and very poor reception on the VHF/UHF port. From my point-of-view, the video author should not promote such device that is NOT made by Analog Device. The chinese maker only wants to take advantage of the Pluto name and the logo to increase his sales. That is something we need to be ashamed of. If the maker wants, he can sell it with other name but not use a name and logo which aren't related to Analog Devices.

This is not a chip that costs AD $80 to make, or even $8. It's an expensive chip because people will pay that much for it, basically.
