Great comparison. I’d go the gsxs for all the reasons you mentioned Chris. It’s just a more practical and accessible machine with great power and performance. Would be great to see a comparison between the gsxs 1000 GT.
They’ve been selling like hotcakes! The GT is provably the best platform. Lots of smooth tractable power with all the modern conveniences and a nice looking design. Looking forward to seeing your review when one finally comes your way!
Kris, quick question...as far as heat is concerned, did you feel much heat coming from the engine onto your legs while riding the hayabusa? And, was it tolerable enough to be able to go on long 8 hour tours on the busa?
Most of my riding was more open roads, just with some city/suburban riding to get out of the city and it wasn't an issue at all. Most of these modern bikes are so corked up that an aftermarket exhaust will massively decrease heat built up however from what I've found. It's one of the reasons I like to do that mod, apart from a bit more exhaust note.
Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video 🇺🇸🎉🍾🇺🇸 Which one would you prefer the fjr1300 or Hayabusa and why? Thank you so much for assisting me in my motorcycle purchase. Keep producing more videos.
It probably depends the kind of riding you're doing. I'd personally go the FJR1300 these days as I'd be doing more two up riding, with better long range comfort. If I wanted something sportier and was riding without a pillion it'd be the Hayabusa hands down, as it's still super capable there as well.
I've yet to test the GSX-S GT but on paper it looks like it covers the touring side significantly better than the standard, and I reckon that would be my choice for a sport tourer personally over the Hayabusa. Being a bit more two-up orientated always helps though, as I'd need that in a touring, or big ADV bike.
The first comparison of these two I have seen. Great reviews! I have the GSX-S 1000 in grey and it is the perfect fun bike for me. If I had the budget, I would also have the Haybusa for very quick trips on the Autobahn since I am from Germany. Or the occasional trackday 😆
@@MotoJournoKris Right :) But we have a lot of restricted parts and also lots of road construction. Traffic is another problem in my area. But there is a Autobahn part in Germany where you could "cruise" at 250 km/h (155mph) for an hour with a Hayabusa. My GSX-S 1000 is great when accelerating up to 200 km/h. From 100-200 km/h it took me 5,4 seconds (62-124 mph).
@@TheTuschi I'd heard that they close some roads to motorcycles in Europe, we've definitely got the traffic problems and construction/poor road issue here though too. I do like the low down performance and thrills though, it's a bit more usable everyday.
Mate excellent content 👌and I disagree they completely different and You Cannot compare a Busa weapon it's legend and I challenge anyone ✊love from Miami Beach FL ⛱USA
The roadster is fun because it’s not heavy ,but when you want to travel by the autobahn ,the bike is naked so much wind and its inconfortable because it’s very instable when you ride fast ,here the hayabuza is very strong 💪no wind no vibration and you travel fast in a big confort ❤
Does the choice not depend on what you are looking for as a rider? If you want pure performance and non-stop adreneline then the 'busa is the choice. An old guy like me who just wants to buzz around and do a little bit of touring will take the GSX-S.
This is so hard having to pick... GSXS1000 or Hayabusa or GSXS1000GT... in that order.. wait no... forget the order. I keep flip-flopping my choices. GSXS1000???? Hayabusa.?? Damn it...
Aham, you may compare a sport toures with a coconut tree as they have some commonalities together, like being from Planet Earth.. and some will prefer the tree you know
Loved the comparison. Always wondered about the Bussa. Like the idea that you feel the speed lower down on the GSX.
These are the exact two bike I am interested in.
Nice, which one are you leaning towards at the moment?
keep up good work, i am allway happy when you upload new videos
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
I would take neither and go for the GSX S1000 GT +
Great comparison. I’d go the gsxs for all the reasons you mentioned Chris.
It’s just a more practical and accessible machine with great power and performance.
Would be great to see a comparison between the gsxs 1000 GT.
I've got to get my hands on the GT, really interested to see how it stacks up!

thank you for the best review of the Busa (& also GSX S 1000)
Thanks for watching!
Great review, thanks!👍
As weird as it might sound i am currently crosshopping the busa and the gsxs1000gt so this IS a very good comparison to see
Oh nice, the GT is quite a lot closer to the Hayabusa in many ways!

k5 too good
Hi Chris, nice video. Thank you. What about the GSX GT version vs. the Busa ?

@@MotoJournoKris I agree 100%.

Oh, nice you'd actually be able to (legally) take advantage of the Hayabusa's speed on the Autobahn!

But the new gsxs1000 is indeed faster than the hayabusa and thats because of noticeable weight diffrence.
@@abody7964 for touring though Mate Busa Comfy All Day

The Hayabusa will have a huge advantage there!
I have owned both, still have the busa ❤
I can imagine the GSX-S is fun. Much lighter, for a start.
It certainly is, the Hayabusa carries its weight well, but it's still there!

Yep, it's always about which bikes ticks the most boxes for what you'll actually be doing, and what features you find most important.
Roadsters are super comfy to drive and flicable ....❤ Hyabusa is tiring and not comfy
I had a 2017 gsx-s 1000, the fueling was the worst ever & dangerous, Had 3 Hayabusas, 2 gsxr 1000s ,
Yea I remember it being bad back when they first came out. Was glad to see they eventually ironed it out.
I prefer Hayabusa
Fair enough, it's a great motorcycle!

Hayabusa from the side view reminds me of Suzuki NUDA concept...
There could have been some inspiration from the NUDA!
