Thank you for showing, what I feel, is the proper way to apply builder gel! I hate when I go to watch a “builder gel tutorial” that shows application the same as if you were applying gel polish 😤 I don’t know why it frustrates me so much, but it does and then they flip their nail over, because they’ve seen it in a video, as if the little amount they’ve applied is actually enough to form an apex 🤷🏽♀️😆😆

I came across your channel, and I love your videos. One question.. where did you purchase your dust collector?
Quick question; when applying gel polish on top of builder gel, do I apply a layer of base/foundation before the gel polish or apply the gel polish directly on top of the builder gel. Thanks in advance! 🙂
I just go right in with the gel polish ontop of builder gel!

After you are done applying the builder gel, hope do you make sure the gel polish is dry?? I tried to do thin layers and longer cure times but no luck

It may be time for a new lamp.
very late to the party, but it's actually normal for any kind of gel to still be a bit sticky/tacky after curing! this is to make sure the next layer you apply adheres better. there is nothing wrong with your lamp haha. after curing your topcoat, use a lint free wipe and at least 70% alcohol to wipe down your nails and you're good to go! there are also no wipe topcoats in case you're like me and just wanna be done with it after curing lol

Valentino 2 but I think it's dying on me so it lasted about 4 years, I did love it though

Fellow nail tech here and I am curious about why you use a soak off gel for the base under the hard gel? I have a hard time with hard gel lifting on me, no matter how detailed my prep is so am wondering what you have figured out
I use it so I can file off all the hard gel and be able to soak off the last layer. Honestly I was in the same position as you and it was my prep. I thought I had my prep down to a science but clearly I didn't. I improved that aspect and I hardly get any lifting now

I am watching this a year later (July 2024). I am a beginner learning how to at least do my own nails because going to the nail salon is so expensive. I know purchasing products cost money but at least I can get multiple uses where as $90 for a full set of acrylic with gel polish (that is just basic no design or anything added) and at least $70 for just a basic acrylic fill in with gel polish over the acrylic. If ask to shorten or repair a broken one is easily $5.00 each….. neither of the prices above include a tip which I do always tip but that is a different story for another day. I have been trying to do my nails for the past couple of months but get frustrated and stop, then I see someone with pretty nails I look at my nubs that barely even have a nail on them because I am a biter and have been most of my life. It is one habit that I HATE. Because I have bitten my nails most of my life I have never learned how to polish my nails or really how to take care for nails so right now I do use a lot of press ons but will add builder gel on top of them or will attempt to paint them a different color. I am getting better, once I feel like I have accomplished the press on nails then I will move on to acrylics. Thank you for explaining why you do what you do so for people like myself I can understand it better. The only thing I do not like about the videos is if I have a question, I will not get an answer right then. Thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of us!❤
Wow thank you so much for the kind comment! I also started doing my own nails because of the prices and I wasn't getting what I was asking for.... Plus they were not very clean no matter what salon I went too!!! I wish you all the best in your journey
Omg that's so much pressure on the efile 😭😭😭 if you feel yourself applying pressure, turn up the rpms to prevent that. (the vibration is bad for the nail and when the sound changes as it hits the nail, that's an indicator of that)
That part of the video is speed up to 20x speed, that’s not the real sound
