    I hope the manufactures, of the wheels you review, listen to your remarks and take them to heart. Every time my wife knows that I am drooling over a new wheel and asks how many wheels does one man need, my remark is, "So says the woman with eight sewing machines!" We all have our addictions. Thanks for another great review.

      Lol., to your response to your wife. I've had 15 wheels at one point. I'm now down to 12 and trying to streamline even further. Great job Sis! I agree with almost everything except the love you gave the pedals. I don't feel like the spikes are high enough to actually grip my shoes as well as other pedals. I feel like they have the look but the ridges on the pedals are as tall or taller than the spikes so they don't grip my shoes as much as they look like they should. All and all though one hell of a great ride.

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Рік тому

      It would seems that folks that don't agree with my assessment of the pegs don't ride down stairs nor jump off elevated surfaces. I do believe I stated they are grippy because the keep your feet planted while jumping off curbs, tables, stairs., etc. Hands down, I LOVE them better than the V13. 🤨. Those pegs such truly to me. But that's my opinion.

    • @travsformation1

      Maybe it just depends on what kind of footwear you're using; flat-soled Vans and the short might have issues gripping the spikes while mountain boots or running shoes should have no problem

    You should look into investing in a full-face helmet used for mountain bike and motorcross riding, they offer so much more protection to your neck and jaw/chin. Great flying skills Vee. I received my Sherman S this past Monday as well as my spiked pedals from Afeez at e-rides. The pedals that came with the Sherman S were ok, but I’ll put the new pedals on and see how they are. So far the ride has been a lot smoother. However, for now, I’m still fiddling around with the suspension dials. I wish Leaperkim would give a complete comprehensive break down of the advanced mode functions on the display screen or in the book. Ride safe 🙏.

      I try and keep an open mind about these wheels when I do reviews. To me, they all have their strong and weak suites. It boils down to preference and not so much which appears to be more of THIS over THAT. Just saying.

    I get that sherman s has great suspension, but it lacks so many other components to justify its price tag. You mentioned that the pedals are great. I say it is better than pedals with grip tapes for sure, but they could've done a better job. Same for trolley handle, seat, pads, and kickstands. You basically need to upgrade all the accessories. Also, no smart bms, no waterproof rating.... ...why would I pay premium for this? This would make more sense if they slashed the price tag in half.

    I see you are using Skydio 2 in follow me mode, but be aware. Flying it around leafless tress may end up crashing it. I'm using it myself but always trying to avoid hanging power cables and small branches hanging from the trees. This is most common reason for this drone to crash. It can't see thin lines or branches.

      Yeahhhhh., it so happened to me the very 1st time I used it. I posted a video on the crash. Lucky for me the drone overshot me and went kamikaze into some trees. Skydio wound up replacing the drone as a result of it. I found,, if you slow down enough,, the drone will figure out to go around. It's when you're riding fast and It's trying to keep up, it won't process the thin branches quick enough can will crash into it.🤣

    Acually these new voltage numbers will NOT make the lifecycle of the battery shorter! Absolutely not. Going down to 72 Volt is at about 3 Volt per battery. This is nothing serious. The working envelope of the battery is even down to 2,5 Volts….and when a range of 3600wh is announced the battery producer with this number even MEANS going down to 2,5 Volts. So going down from 3,3/3,4 Volts per cell, down to 3 Volts is absolutely in the normal working range and for example KingSong has been doing this with nearly all their newer wheels.

Them's the conditions some of us, Canuckistanis not just endure but thrive in by going out & ride. Better than identifying as a bear & hibernate 😁. On the serious, the SS looks like a nice wheel but thats all it is. Nice. I am waiting for a 3600wh battery packed wheel, however not the ss. I would love to see your opinion on this matter of climbing numbers on the voltage department. The majority of the people who tried the Master loved the power of it. However there are a few things that some people still defend themselves by saying that they believe that the ss will have more range than any other same battery packed wheel, precisely because of the 100v system. Others say that those modes the wheel has (not talking about saving battery 😂) will provide you with the best performance ever.
    I would love to see you going further than simply trying the wheel. Telling some truth about range AND performance would be a good thing to see. I mean, saying how you felt about the way the wheel acceleration was or its braking abilities...and that in your opinion those persons should stop trying to dream about getting better numbers than the nowadays wheels. What I mean by nowadays is that the power went off, from 100v. Leaperkim has to understand that...

As far as the range and power, since I'm on the east coast and dealing with some trashy weather, I really couldn't get an accurate range nor would I try. Just in the days I was riding, I froze.my arse off on top of having to contend with winds that were so unpredictable that it became not wise to push it the limits I normally do in my reviews. One thing of note though, the weather conditions were not in the SS favor as far as battery consumption. It sucked.

    Vee, you take great race lines in your riding. Will you enter any races? You covered a lost conversation with the EUC, which is disassembling practicality. I will have to consider that in my next purchase. This was one of your most engaging reviews. The most informative SS review thus far. Thanks

      Well., if the assembly of the wheel was incomplete., then Leaperkim failed to send all of the parts. There was nothing left to attached. @@JonahHax If you paid attention to my video, I said I did not attach it because I was going to put the SS to the rigors and didn't want to run the risk of damaging it. Truthfully, the stand itself is flimsy, folks have complained about it and let's say for argument sake it snaps or break., we're right back to exposed wires. Leaperkim could've done a better job of protecting those wires in my opinion or made a more sturdy stand.
      Also, if I REALLY wanted to "bash" them I had every right to point out the 4 bolts they conveniently left out for the batteries., and it would seem another person complained about that as well.

    Q: When getting on the Sherman S, the height of the pedals makes it difficult for me to immediately accelerate, especially when starting uphill and you can’t easily push it into motion before stepping up. Got any tips for accelerating a heavy EUC like the SS off the line?

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Рік тому +1

      Torque wheels are not known for their speed but power. Also, the heavier these wheels become, the slower they will get "that" burst of speed out the gate. As far as getting the wheel going, especially up hill., I experience that same thing with the Master Pro. A good pair of pads will help give you the leverage you need to get the wheel going. As long as you can balance on one leg when hopping on a tall wheel, you'll master the push off. When you are in the process of mounting the wheel, lean forward with your lead leg (the leg that's on the wheel as you push off) and push off with the foot that's the ground. It'll be awkward at first because it'll be more of a balancing game before the wheel moves in the direction you want it to. You'll have to practice this maneuver to become proficient with it. Hope that sheds some light on the matter. Good luck.

    • @manapeace
      @manapeace Рік тому +1

      @@VeeEUC Thanks! I think I have a habit of stepping onto the EUC from behind, which works fine with smaller, non-suspension wheels that have pedals close to the ground. With the SS, my theory is I need to practice getting my hips forward first so it’s a sideways step up. Also I just extended the front pedal sections forward for more leverage. My Kingsong 16X is starting to feel tiny, so I know I’m making progress!

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  Рік тому

      @@manapeace You'll definitely have to retrain your brain to process the side mount of the wheel. You'll have to apply a downward pressure on the leg that's on the wheel to get the wheel to rest against it while you push off. This will give you balancing leverage.,that will transcend in you being able to get the wheel moving in the direction you want it to.

      @@my_euc_journey1977 On paper larger specs are always impressive/better until you put them through real life situations. Just because you have a wheel with 136v doesn't necessarily mean it is overall better than a 100v wheel in "every" category. Although this is considered comparing apples to oranges., It's no different with cars., you have 6cyl cars than can outperform 8cyl cars. When you take in account a 100+ pound wheel., it requires alot of power to haul it and a rider to the tune, it may perform in some categories like that of a 100v wheel. I'm not saying this is the case, but it's not far fetched.
      Besides, Marty and Roger can only speak for themselves. I own the Master Pro and quite frankly don't care for it., but that's my opinion. So again, it really boils down to preference of the individual.
