    This definitely helps me. I appreciate you. I just got a used Sherman og. Had it for two weeks and only rode it three times

    Getting on and off without crashing was the hardest. Turning is difficult if you are going slow but learning to start from zero is hard. It is especially hard when you are constrained on both sides by curbs or grass. F()cking hell it took weeks for me get good at a constrained start from zero. My ankles were swollen for a week when I first got my Kingsong S22 Pro. It is amazing how much you work those balancing muscles in your legs and hips to keep that thing upright at slow speed. There aren't enough of these "learning how to ride." videos.

    I started EUC with a vet sherman, I am pretty happy. I did the first day 1km on a fence (always 5m forward, 5m backward, 10x then other side). Next day I did my first 20m on grass (overall 3km) on the third day I did my first tour on the road (for cycles) the longer you practice, the less radius you need for turning. When starting I was always on the limit of my quads burning, but that gets better from day to day. If you try to go a bit faster than you would like to, it gets a lot easier (10km/h), the slower the bigger the difficulties (but that comes with time). Also do not forget to exercise to get on and off (without something to hold on) I would recommend to practice that with both legs (as the primary leg).

      It takes a little while, but once you learn, it's amazing!

    The idea of counter steering also applies on the EUC, it helps with initiating turns. You always initiate turns by turning the opposite direction momentarily to force/pivot your center of gravity. This helps with turning quickly.

    Thanks for vid. I heard lot's people say that your body will just click. I found it same for me too.

      But not everybody just clicks like you and me. Some people struggle and then in order to help them, you have to think about how it works and describing the mechanics is not easy.

    Thank you! I’m currently saving for this Uni. I don’t like the idea of getting a smaller wheel when I know I will outgrow it.

      Yes, some people say the UA-cam videos make it look easy. But it's definitely not. Just hang in there until it clicks. Once it does, the joy is indescribable!

    How does it compared to motorbike?

    • @ZenRyder

      Not street legal. Harder to learn to ride. But once you learn you can go anywhere. Silent, fast, powerful, and rides like a magic carpet. Nothing else comes close.

    Do you change the settings at all when teaching someone to ride, e.g., ride mode (soft, medium), max speed, tilt back?

    • @ZenRyder
      @ZenRyder  3 роки тому

      You know, this is a good point. Maybe that would help them from quickly jerking the balance. I'll try that next time I'm teaching a new rider and see if that helps. Thanks for the idea!

    Hello if you don’t mind how tall are you and is seated riding hard?

    • @ZenRyder
      @ZenRyder  3 роки тому +1

      I am about 5'10 and seated riding is not hard. It's different. Instead of moving your Center of Gravity (COG) up around your waist and balancing on your feet. You are now moving your rear end and the COG is now lower and the balance has to come from hip movement at the seat. It feels strange. Some people also have a hard time transitioning between positions. I personally don't think it's a big deal. - ua-cam.com/video/I-BTn3yxrFw/v-deo.html
