June, LAW was my childhood dream and never ending aspiration. I took up Accounting, became a CPA and was Vice-President when I was barely 28 years old. Business Management allowed me to provide well for my family and send my daughters to the best schools for their career. I almost became the President & CEO of two (2) American multinationals. But, I have never given up my aspiration to become a Lawyer. At 40 years old, with a sick Heart, I went back to Law School against the CLEARED prediction of my Cardiologist that I will die in LAW School. My late entry into Law did not prevent me from becoming a Law Professor & BAR Reviewer, Dean of two (2) Law Schools and nominated 2x to be Associate Justice, Supreme Court (2012 & 2016). The Lord allowed me to be a Lawyer. These UA-cam Uploads is part of the joy in bringing our PEOPLE, most of them frustrated Lawyers, to the correct knowledge of Philippine LAW.

Yes Dean, dami mga bar questions na kahit na lawyers na, nahirapan mag sagot. Only Justice Leonen and Justice Velasco got the entry level questions that were absent from the other bar chairmen.
Yes, the Supreme Court has never been consistent in each approach to the BAR Exams. There was one time Justice Abad started with the Multiple Choice Questions and committed that the Supreme Court will keep to that. Today, they have abandoned the Multiple Choice just a few years after Justice Abad retired. Then, Justice Leonen was in the right direction to limit the BAR Exams just to allow "Entry Level" Lawyers to take their Oath. Now, we see Justice Caguioa not living up to that commitment, basically not putting Control over his Examiners. The 27 Questions in Remedial Procedural Law is so deadly. What makes it worse is that "APPEAL" had 8 murderous questions, including one on the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission, so specialized that who cares whether incoming Entry Lawyers need to even know the issue. Candidly, passing the BAR still is attended by LUCK, depending on what kinds of questions are given when you take the BAR. Too bad, the BAR should, but does not, simply stick as an ENTRY LEVEL Exams for Law Students. Most pitiful are the Working students who can barely manage to graduate in 5 years.
Siguro some Law Deans and Professors, nahirapan din. Me, I had to do some research in order to ensure that my Suggested Answers are anchored on the latest Supreme Court decisions, as I cite them towards the end of each Suggested Answer.

just my opinion, kaya siguro din mataas passing rate ng UP dahil masipag ang mga profs dun. sadly, ang daming tamad na law profs. imagine sa civpro na 5 units, 2 hours lang siguro ang presence ng prof. di pa maglecture ang mga yan. kaya i have to resort to other media like youtube. masna explain pa ng mabuti. thank you!
Friend, sa UM LAW, I have abolished the practice of the terroristic "Socratic" Recitation. It is Double Jeopardy because it creates emotional havoc and extreme fear among Law students who came to school to LEARN and not to be emotionally tortured in public. It also breeds laziness of Law Professors who did not have to prepare for the day's Lecture and simply impose fear as a substitute to learning. As a Law student, I went to Law School to learn the Law and not to be treated as an inferior being who knows nothing. The reason why I am a Law Student is because I do not know. I come to class to learn from the EXPERTS and not to be maligned and insulted by harassing Law Professors. I expect to learn from their TESTED EXPERTISE. Insulting me before my classmates is not part of the expensive tuition fee I paid. This is my sincere belief in how a Law Student should be guided to master the Law in Law School. It is a.carryover of my own personal experience as a very mature student when I came to Law school. Good for me, I had good UE Professors, with a few exceptions.

EVERY semester, there will be professors who will not return midterm exams or even provide the scores. i have one professor this semester who just gave us our midterm exam scores. when asked if he will return our individual exams, he said he could not because of some technical issues and it would be very cumbersome on his part to return our exams. TAKE NOTE THAT OUR EXAM WAS VIA GOOGLE FORMS! it makes me wonder if the scores he gave us was just plucked out of thin air. for a subject that we paid 6000++ for, we are, at a minimum, entitled to a return of our test papers. this is provided for in LEB's code of ethics for law professors which sadly a lot of law school deans and professors do not abide by or maybe have not even read. another depressing experience. i had this subject wherein the professor did nothing at all. his class format was all group presentations. every meeting was group presentation by the students. i did not pay the school to learn from my classmates!!! it's very disgusting that lawyers behave this way. if placed in their shoes, i would not have the audacity to come to class unprepared KNOWING THAT THE STUDENTS PAID THE SCHOOL. i cannot fathom why these lawyers are not scared to be assholes in school. EVERY semester, it's the same disgusting scenarios. professor feedback/evaluations are useless.

Law Professors cannot flunk you when you Exam Answers are PERFECT, out of your studying hard. I was used to Grades of "1.0" in my BBA-Acctg at UE and even with my MBA at UP-Diliman. But I never cared about what Grade they gave me at LAW School. I was simply going through the process of passing Law School SO I CAN TAKE THE BAR and become a Lawyer. But brilliant and outstanding Law Professors gave me Flat "1.0" in very challenging Subjects - Commissioner Jose Nolledo (Civil Law Review), Dean Celedonio Tiongson (Public International Law & Conflict of Laws) and Dean Michael Moralde (Remedial Law Review). Never mind those Law Professors who simply guessed their Grades for us. One did not even know how to count my Score in the Exams - he counted for 1.75 when the Raw Score is 1.25. Until his death, he failed to correct himself. Another one, a high flying Public Prosecutor, crossed my two (2) Answers, when I even cited the LATEST jurisprudence and mentioned that the Old Decisions have been overtaken. He gave me a bad grade, using the Old Decisions. He managed to change my correct Grade towards the Finals (and before he finally died). Several of these non-teaching Law Professors later were reporting to me as UM Law Dean. Obviously, I waited for the right opportunity to replace them with more dedicated Law Professors. One such good and dedicated Law Professor is Atty. Diosdado Madrid at UM Law.

A ground of improper service of summons implies that the court had not acquired jurisdiction over defendant Kay, which should have been raised in an Answer with an Affirmative Defense on the ground of lack of jurisdiction over the person of the defendant under Rule 8 of the Revised Rules of Civil Procedure.
