Pretty sure I picked them up at a local gun shop; it's been several years. It does seem a little difficult to find really good Carcano clips, I'm lucky that most of mine seem to work well.

Keaton Miller The Carcano did not existed in 1829, there is no such thing as a 1829 model.
Looks like there's very little recoil? I have the same one but haven't tried it yet.
