Uncle Phil started out very welcoming to the kid. He didn’t act like an overprotective father, but genuinely seemed to want to meet the kid and even referred to him as “son”, obviously to make him feel welcome. Only when the kid was a snotty punk and started saying stupid crap and refused to tell him his name did Phil put him in his place.
I would like to think that I would have instilled a sense of worth in my kids where they would not associate themselves with people who lack self-respect. My sons (I have 2) would not dare bring home a harlot, and my daughters (I have 3) would not dare bring home a useless bum.

What’s comedically great about a lot of uncle Phil is rage moments I’ve noticed, they rarely get build up. He can go from relaxed to yelling in a nanosecond and that’s both realistically scary but also extremely funny. I swear this moment and the “WHITE GUY NAMED WARD?!” are funny as hell moments that match this, but I also wouldn’t wanna be in the same room as the people getting yelled that. XD
