I really didn’t want to be that guy, but since no one else has said it yet I’m going to. Please stop spreading misinformation, the 2017+ RC 390s don’t have the head gasket issue you referred to in the video as “engine reliability issues”. They fixed that with the 2017 update package by redistributing the heat away from the head gasket which was what was causing the issue. And as for the whole valve clearance issue, Ari only ran into those so frequently because he raced his RC. Anyone who races can tell you that checking the valve clearance regularly is a must no matter the bike. Anyway, besides that I really enjoyed the video. Keep it up Yammie Pube!

Here in Europe, the golden age of small displacement sports bikes was the late 80, 90s and early 2000s.There was everything from two stroke 50 cc (Aprilia RS50, Cagiva Mito 50, Yamaha TZR50, etc), two stroke 125 cc (Aprilia RS125, Cagiva Mito 125, Gilera SP01, Honda NSR125, etc), two stroke 250 cc (Aprilia RS250, Honda NSR250, Suzuki RGV250, Kawasaki KR1S, etc), four stroke four cylinder 250 cc (Honda CBR250RR, Yamaha FZR250, etc) and four cylinder 400 cc bikes (Honda CBR400RR, Honda VFR400, Yamaha FZR400, Suzuki GSXR400, Kawasaki ZX4R, etc). These days, most 50 cc motorcycles (not counting scooters) are no longer in production, all 125 cc road bikes are four strokes which are much slower than two strokes of the same displacement, 250 cc class was replaced by 300 cc class (but now it seems to be slowly being replaced by a renewed 400 cc class), and modern 400 cc bikes like Ninja 400 and RC390 are slower and have less HP than old four cylinder 400 cc bikes.
Duke 390 is the only bike on this list with Bluetooth to pair your phone and have music controls on the handlebars. That was the main selling point for me
Eurobor here, since you repeatedly mention the 399cc being a "cheater"-entry, why not abandon the small displacement category in of itself? It seems rather ridiculous to group by CC rather than hp and it makes it seem like a Aprilia RS 250 2-Stroke might be a good idea for beginners. I suggest the european A-2 licence class, which only allows motorcycles up to 35kw or 48hp. to make it easy, basically all bikes up to 50hp. That sounds like a more interesting bracket to me and it makes more sense as it would include bikes like the Honda cbr 500r, which isnt even faster than the ninja 400 anyway.

If the GSX 250 had at least a 300cc engine instead of what they decided to give it, I would have chosen that over every other bike based on looks alone. It's just so sexy.
I might be slow, but this new rider bought a CB300FABS a year ago, and couldn't be happier. Mainly because I'm pretty sure I would have killed myself on something faster or without ABS. And being that I'm old, "standard" ergonomics are far more tolerable. Good list though. I might like the Z400 in the future...
As much as you dislike it, at the end of the day the Kawasaki 400's are the best in this category. Not only that, Kawasaki as a brand is on a innovation trend: A new 2020 model 4-cylinder 250, a supercharged high-end, and in the very near future, an electric bike.

I Agree, after the superduke styling on the 390, It's by far the best IMO...
@@anthonysilvestri4946 hey man! I did, it seems pretty strong on paper! :) also, wanna go for it as it's my favorite naked bike, and that's what I'm aiming for as my first bike, maybe a fully faired 600cc-800cc as the next... Then will use this one for regular commute and travel haha, what's your opinion? Which do you think is the best? Cheers! :)
Happy New Year Yam & YamArmy!!
I love this new set up! Keep it up!
TVS also used the Chassis of BMW 310R into their own Production Bike APACHE 310RR or ACULA 310RR
What is tvs??
Bought the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 KRT Edition "in celebration" of the just past "Martin Luther King Jr." day,
Well, ya gotta make a dead man happy, y'know.
Loving the bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The GW-250 is last on my list for those Butt Ugly lights/blinkers integrated on the, Fuel tank?... What the Actual Fuck were they thinking? This is the same disaster as the GSX750F, AKA "The Teapot" (no i'm not making that nickname up).
I love you GRANNY PUBE keep posting ma man
RC390!!! Best small bike ever.
EDIT: I've owned two of them, and never had any engine problems. But I had a 2015 and a 2016, so maybe it has to do with model year(?)
Same here bro awesome bike
Hey yamie , I sure hope you can one day review a bajaj dominar 400. Some say it’s the same moter as the ktm 390s
I'm from Sweden. Love your video!!
I used to race a ninja 250 and I could almost easily out turn a zx10 on track so I can imagine what the ninja 500 can do
I will choose YAMAHA R3.... Always....!!!!!!
😃👍
As usual, came for the thumbnail & title, stayed for the music & content. Thanks, sir Yam!
(+ If you can, it'd be great if you'd occasionally post the playlists :))
The Honda CB300r has been out in NA since the third week of July. I know because that’s when I got mine! The motor isn’t going to light up your wick but overall the bike is awesome and the styling and ride is great.
I live in sweden and at 16 you can get a 125cc bike with 15 horsepower. So my mom got me a 91 honda nsr 125 r. It is so amazing
Dude, you always manage to make me laugh. But the best thing in this high production value vid is that sweet hentai Honda in the background. That bike is really looking good. I am still shocked how good the hentai tank came out. Too bad that melon you call a head kept blocking my view of it! :) Can't wait for the next vid of the hentai's metamorphic transformation in to a real street machine.
Good stuff, liking the new format too, let’s keep growing unlike your (and my) hairline
you came to India, if ur still here u need to try out the rr310, the same engine as the g310r.. not the fastest or the most powerful.. but the dynamics of that bike makes you love the engine, don't think it's for sale in American and might not even make it there ever.. but definitely worth a try.
awesome explaination..Yammie
My rc blew up within 1000k (600mi) went through like 4 or five radiators cause the stock fan kept blowing up. Over heated constantly parts fall off of it all the time. Still love it and kept it though.
If the GSX 250 had at least a 300cc engine instead of what they decided to give it, I would have chosen that over every other bike based on looks alone. It's just so sexy.
The issue I have with the BMW isn't that its not made in Germany, but that it's not made by BMW.
I have a GW250, I understand how it's lowest on the list with it's heavy weight and low HP but still a lot of fun for such a cheap price tag.
I have a 2019 GSX250R and it gets around town no problem. I've hit 90 on it which is plenty. I paid a total of $3,500 for mine.
I literally can't stop seeing idubzz
Man I miss riding but it's too cold atm
You guys got played is the US. The RC 390 and the Duke are sold in India for roughly $3400. They're pretty popular bikes here
@@anthonysilvestri4946 India isn't that terrible of a place to live mate. Sure the infrastructure isn't great and the idea of performance motorcycles are just picking up but it's pretty chill otherwise 😬
