My 2017 FZ-07 does 0-60 in ~3.5 and cost me under 5K... in 2017, not bad for a bike that was made within the year. Sure there are faster bikes but the bang for buck is undeniable. Also I do not care for top speed, acceleration is where it's at for me. Keep on tubing bro, I love your videos!
Can't believe you threw in a 98 Blade but NOT the 98 ZX9R, at the time the Blade's direct competitor. The Kawi ran a 10 second quarter back then bone stock and would make that Honda seem like it was going in reverse!!! You could have also included the 2000 GSX-R750 here which beat out all other large bore and literbikes at the time in every tests and didn't really get any competition until a year later when it's bigger brother the GSX-R1000 was introduced in 2001. I recently bought another ZZR1100 D1 1993 UK (ZX11 USA) which was the fastest bike when it was released in 1990. It cost me £750 so under $1000. The specs vary but the European specs are 147bhp The 1997 ZX-11's quarter mile time was 10.43 seconds at 131.39 mph and I could only find 0-100 kph which is 0-62 mph in 2,75 secs. De-restricting them is by replacing the carburettor tops which cost me about $50 so it will be even faster. What else can you find that fast for under $1000?
2003-2005 Yamaha FJR1300's are available for $3-5k and run 0-60 in 3.0 sec and quarter mile in 10.7 sec. You can also ride it access the country to get to the testing track them ride back home, no trailer required.

Good estimate on the Speed Triple. I bought an 02 Daytona with a build and a dyno tune. Landed right on your cutoff price. But what most people even bikers think that the 02-04 Daytona & Speed Triple both have 128 ponies. Actually the Daytona has 19 more stock. I’m thinking that possibly with a few tweaks the Daytona could push into the low tens. Thinking about doing the Moore Mafia drag school & finding out for myself.
