- Hello! This is a setup/build guide for the NZXT H7 Flow RGB where I'm showing you the features and highlights of the case and then how to build it in.
This case comes equipped with four fans as standard, three of which are NZXT F140 Core RGB Fans. Those fans are already connected to a splitter cable for power and another for RGB which is handy. But in this video I'm adding in some more fans and doing a push/pull setup with the NZXT Kraken 280 Elite RGB CPU cooler. I'm going to show you every step of the build process as well as what mistakes to avoid and things to think about during the build process. There's a lot to like about this case, but be sure to checkout the links to the other videos of things included in this build if you need detailed guides on anything (see the specs below).
If you'd like to see another build guide for the NZXT H7 Flow (non RGB) be sure to check this video out • NZXT H7 Flow Build Gui...

The job,the voice, and the explanation is fantastic I watched it like a schoolboy who was enjoying the lesson in school. Thank you very much
Very kind, thank you.
This really helped me with my recent case swap to the H7 Flow RGB. Thank you!
Glad to help
Fantastic case. I removed the cable management bar and spray painted the mass effect N7 stripe on to it....and it looks awesome inside the case, better than i imagined! I am waiting on fans and gonna add a couple of mass effect stickers to complete the theme
My only gripe with it is that it didn't come with rubber mounts for the hard disk drive to dampen some of the vibrations.
Ya and they didn't have a slot for a floppy disc drive either!....JK We must embrace our lord and saviour M2 NVMe drives. They are so cheap now, you can get a 4 Tb Crucial Gen 3 NVMe drive for peanuts. They might not be as dirt cheap as a HDD, however if you're working with large files, the read/write speed performance uplift over a standard HDD is well worth the extra few quid. And if you're just using the PC for gaming etc, then you're doing yourself and your system an injustice by not using an M2 drive (or at least a bog standard SSD). That will be the standard going forward, for example, Starfield has listed an SSD as part of its 'minimum' specs.
@@TheSwayzeTrain the HDD i am using as an archive so no need for the speed , 4tb for 70$ is alot better deal than getting a nvme. And don't worry i got a 1tb gen 4 nvme (for about 100$) .
Its just a nitpick on the rubber mounts basically ,they did so well with everything in the case except that.
@@goliathmb18 can’t you buy rubber mounts?
@@phr3ui559 i managed to salvage some hard drive rubber mounts from a old pc from work , i still didn't put them in though i will do so once i take it apart soon to change the power supply and reorganize some stuff.
But yeah still a fantastic case
Doing a case swap and this help a lot. Thank you sir! You gained a like and a Sub 👍
Glad to help
watching this video i just realized i accidentally got the wrong PSU, mine is the RM1000x shift version which the connections are on the side. i honestly didnt know there were different versions.
nice video btw, always very informative.
You might be ok still. It should fit I'd imagine with the cables running up the back.
Looking for some assistance, I bought this case along with an NZXT b650e mobo. I used the stock splitter for the RBG fans in the front (no controller) and plugged it into the 5v header on the bottom left of the board. Oddly enough on boot the lights turn on, but once CAM boots up, they turn off and are not recognized. I'm not sure if I'm doing somthing wrong. I'm about to disband them from the daisy chain and apply each Inyo the available RBG slots on the board. thanks for any help.
Great video, love the white and black setup, simple and clean.
On a related note, do you happen to have Cinebench and thermal benchmarks available? (Edit: nevermind just saw your newest video, many thanks)
If not, have you noticed any thermal issues while using it (if you can recall)?
I have a I9 13000k. I had trouble cooling it with a 360mm bequiet silent loop 2, push and pull config + grizzly kryonaut paste. Had 100deg in battlefield 2042 and was thermal throtteling :|
I have now bought a kraken elite 360mm, as I believe the bequiet aio is broken (as it makes a terrible noise).
This video abould be handy then as ive just received a h7 flow rgb and waiting for my 360mm kraken elite to be delivered!
How did you get all your fans rgb to sync? On my h7 elite all the fans that came pre installed wont sync. If try to change lighting effect they all out of sync only works on default preset modes in cam.
I have the same case.. AMD version of that motherboard.. when I plug in the 5 volt case fan lights they don't work but the fans do still spin..I have the 5v plugged into the MB
A RGB related question of course. I have this case and all my components ready to go I'm planning on removing the case fans and front mounting a 280mm Nzxt aio and planning to use come corsair icue fans for the top and rear.
My question is can I just sync all these faans if I connect them to the mother board using the motherboard companies rgb software (Asus)?
Hello friend, how do you change the speed of the front fans? Or how can you see the speeds? Can you help me?
I only have 1 header on my mother board however I have an NZXT case just like you with 3 pre installed fans and also an aio. Will I be able to access the aio pump if I connect everything to a Corsair hub?
Guys I need help I bought this case but my motherboard don’t have any 3 pin ports what should I do ? 😢
Splitter cable for power the fans please ?? In the description is not mentioned
Is it possible to have a 360mm on the top while also having a 240mm on the front but mounted it a bit more to the bottom. Is that even an option? My CPU has a 360mm and my GPU a 240mm radiator. Thank you in advance
Would it be possible to control the pre-connected front 3 fans using one port on the rgb controller and then have the other two ports controlling another two fans? This would save buying an extra controller on its own so just thought I'd ask :)
Also thank you for a great insight on building with this case! I'm looking to build my first pc in this case within the next couple of weeks!
I was wondering if it possible did you get the answer?
I find the case extremely loud and the fact that it goes high then low then high than low non stop drives me nuts, any rec. to control the fan speed and loudness?
What case is better, this or the antec performance 1?
Hi there I want to use Ryzen 7 7800X3D cpu on my build, but I am not certain which is the best motherboard to use for it, I want to be able to use 4 Nvme SSD Gen4 in the build without comprising the GPU lane down from 16 to 8. I also want to use the Nvidia 4080 supper but agone not certain which brand to get, I want one that won't cause any problems. So I like to ask which motherboard and GPU would you recommend for this build?
hello why you use 2 hub to set 5 fan can one hub from aio set all?
Installing an aio has to be top 10 hardest challenges I have faced

@@TheProvokedPrawn Without your video I would have been completely lost
Can you list the extra cables and controllers you needed to purchase? Doing a very similar build and got kind of lost with what extras I need to buy
It's all in the description
I don't understand why the D_LED2 and LED_C1 RGB headers on the MOBO wouldn't work. I even tried to calibrate them in the Gigabyte Software. I guess I need to buy a second controller.
Hey @TheProvokedPrawn , need some input, I have a H7 flow now, would it be possible to have a 360 rad at the top for CPU and another 360 rad at the front for GPU, would having this combo fit this case? this is a huge concern which I havent found any answers to. Would appreciate your input alot!
Does the H7 Flow RGB come with an RGB controller? it doesn't say anywhere on the site it does and can't find anyone saying if it does or not, but honestly it doesn't make sense if it doesn't but it also wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't.
I know this is late but the h7 flow rgb does not come with a controller but the elite does
I see, u made another video with timestamps. Cool. U should link to this video in the comment, "Update with timstamps (and explenation (if it is explaned, watching as I write)).
19:20 I read its enough for a 400mm graphic card. This has me worried a bit. I dlnt have a 4090, yet....what was the length of the graphic card that didnt fit? 31:48 oh,thats why u got less space. Isnt there space further to the right, behind, or inside the black margin?
Yo bro, I’m hope you can do
A video on the phantek t30 120 fans I hear they are really good.
Sadly I don't have contact with Phanteks yet
What memory do you use for the first and third slots if you were to use those slots? Anything?
The same ua-cam.com/video/ZeUgMODOfOo/v-deo.html
This case or the Lancool 216?
Very good, from Portugal
Thank you
So the h7 flow rgb case comes with three f140 rgb core fans but no controller? So how do you make the rgb work withkut having to buy a controller?
connect it to the motherboard, I showed how.
@@TheProvokedPrawn yeah I went back through and clocked that.
Can I do the same for the fans on the cooler so I they will all match through motherboard software or will I need to buy something else? Trying to avoid having to buy another controller and a usb splitter as I didn't forsee the extra expense !
@@dreadidid you manage to build it ,did you need any additional adapters eyc

Had to buy the nzxt fan hub to allow me to run nzxt fans together but apart from that no...well bought an extra fan as well so 3 140mm intakes, 3 120mm on the kracken elite and 1 140mm exhaust
@@dreadi oh ok, just considering now if I should go for the H7 Flow RGB or the DF700 flux, also I forgot to ask how is the kraken elite, I heard some people say that the nzxt cam software is poor and that sometimes the kraken elite can bug out or smthn like that, is this true?
is it compatible with Vertical GPU Kit for Pci-e 4.0 Video Card V3 Cooler Master?
No idea. But NZXT has its own gen 4 vertical mount.

Why didn't you use a black AIO? Instead of the white you used.
Didn't have one at the time 🤷🏼♂️

not a fan of the white components in that case but nice video tho
