- Lots of people ask me 'What's the best route to becoming a financial planner? should I start as an IFA administrator and work my way up to paraplanner and then step into the role of a financial planner, or should I jump straight into a trainee financial planner role?
This week's guest on the financial planner life podcast is the recently level 4 qualified Hanna Hunt from Radcliffe & Newlands believes that starting as an IFA administrator is the best route to becoming a financial planner.
I Loved talking to Hanna about her journey from IFA administrator into Paraplanning and moving towards her next goal of a financial planner.

Sam, really like your presentation skills. Great listener and truly engaged. Im an IFA myself and thought about doing something similar in terms of a podcast as no one really understands this industry and most (including myself) stumble into the industry. Great session. I found it so insightful. I only disagree with studying for exams while working not before. Doing it before gives you a head start and allows you to focus on the job only, rather than splitting time btw work and study. But that's just me. I'm great at passing exams.
Considering a career change to financial planning. Having spent six years establishing a career in marketing, it would effectively mean starting again but this podcast covers a lot of useful info as to how and why to do it in my opinion. Thanks!
