I look for Gewürztraminer every time I have wine menu in hand. I don't like any white wine but it's the only exception. Thank you for uploading this video.
Thank you Jimmy, this is one of the best training videos on this Great White of Alsace. I have watched many of your training videos.. they are all great. The Pinotage and Chenin of SA left me a huge impression.. once again thank you.
I remember when I picked grapes at my Uncle's vineyard near Kaysersberg in Alsace I remember only white skin for Gewurztraminer .It was 20 yrs ago and worked there as a teenager . After he inspired me so much that today I have vineyard in Poland and testing over 50 different species, however I don't plant Gewurztraminer and I know that dominant is pinkish skin

No problem. It's fun to find the wines that work for you! Gewurztraminer is quite a unique grape variety.
Thank you Jimmy! Very informative and interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Best wine grape!
It certainly has character!
Excellent video, thank you! Though Gewurtraminer from Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol has only 600 ha of production, to my palate, some of the finest,
I agree - the acidity that Gewurztraminer often can lack is delivered from T-AA.
Which label mind u ?
In the last decade there's a little but interesting production of gewurtztraminer in the Aosta Valley too..
Yes for sure! I tasted a few when I last visited in 2018 - very light and gentle styles in comparison to classic areas - a positive in my view
Never seen you without waste coat!
