  • The NEW Electric Superyacht: First Ever to Use Hydrogen Power!
    Welcome Back EV Scene
The Game-Changing Electric Superyacht is a unique and innovative luxury yacht designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. It is the first superyacht to use hydrogen power as its primary source of energy, making it a game-changer in the world of luxury yachts and a significant step forward in the transition to more sustainable and environmentally friendly modes of transportation. The yacht, known as Aqua, is powered by two 1MW electric motors and two 1MW hydrogen fuel cells, which provide enough power to cruise at a top speed of 17 knots for a distance of 3,750 nautical miles. The yacht also features a battery storage system, which can store excess energy produced by the fuel cells and use it to power the yacht when the fuel cells are not in use. The hydrogen fuel cells produce only water as a byproduct, making them a clean and sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. In addition to its innovative power source, the Aqua also boasts a sleek and modern design, with luxurious amenities including a gym, spa, and infinity pool. The yacht can accommodate up to 14 guests and 31 crew members, making it the ultimate luxury experience for those who want to explore the world's oceans in style and comfort. The Aqua is a significant step forward in the development of sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation, and it represents the growing trend toward using alternative energy sources in the luxury yachting industry. The yacht's innovative design and technology have garnered international attention and acclaim, and it is sure to inspire future developments in the field of hydrogen-powered transportation.. Well done

Wow that's amazing, a superyacht that requires hooking up to a substation to generate it's fuel and the power requirements of a small town to power that.
The environ-mental-ists just got into the superyacht dick-measuring contest.

You're showing Aquon One and alva. Which boat is the Video directed towards?

A solar/hydrogen fuel cell yacht has some interesting possibilities. Rather than go into a marina to top off with diesel, you can just hook up to shore power and use the electricity to produce hydrogen. Granted, it will take way longer than at the pump, but it is an option.

Yes, I could see that as an option for cloudy days, however they did not mention if they are storing hydrogen as a gas or hydride or details about the electric engine?. Storing Hydrogen as a Hydride (MgH2) has a greater capacity and is safer.

Definitely. The ion exchange in a fuel cell is also much easier to control than an open flame.

How many marinas have hydrogen gas dispensers?

They will be loading cylinders initially but the Eco explorer expt vessel generates kts own hydrogen from seawater.. via solar and a fuel cell technology...
Though Hydrogen ICE motors are being built they still have issues.

None, but one could easily connect to shore power and ramp up production on the hydrolyzer to fill all tanks overnight?

      ❤ Good question.
Answer : behold , now you will be able to produce onboard and feed for fuel to electric generator direct connect & trickle to storage to not only extend but allow you to travel at a faster cruise speed . Tech is moving fast and my best speculation has your water maker to supply as the solar array is the backbone needed to begin the process to separate H2O
Just know that minds are working on it. Believe me, they are working on mining in space 😳 and working acting without hast with private & gov sectors in a race

@@geralddraper4491 Why are they not using solid hydrogen for storage? MgH2, a Hydride, it's holds three times the MegaJoules than gas and does not require compression???

Excellent work, H2 power is finally market ready. We have all the Hydrogen we can possibly dream of here in H20 and our Sun will keep sending us photons for our Human eternity any way.
Never give up on what you all love, coz love keeps us aiming high and never give up on your dreams that make you feel ecstatic :-) Cheers from us here in Aotearoa (A.K.A New Zealand) Thankyou all. God bless you all who want to share. ua-cam.com/video/cb61AVsxD34/v-deo.html&start_radio=1

Am I missing something here, a boat that can use electric to produce Hydrogen for a hydrogen fuel cell which then changes it back to electric to power the boat. Now explain why the hell we needed the hydrogen, we started with electric went thru a process to simply change it back to electric, to me that sounds pretty pointless🤷🏻‍♂️
