Just came from watching Dimitris videos of training snatches and he does exactly what these guys tell us not to do which is pelvis going up first. Dimitris teaches that you move your pelvis up first then engage the back after. I think I'll follow the guy who snatches the most.

As always...fantastic videos! I do have a peculiar problem in my body mechanics. I am 175cm tall. My arms are 185cm long, finger tip to finger tip. I can touch the tops of my knees. Are there any weightlifters with similar proportions? I can not find any similar athletes. Thank you for all your videos...I have learned a lot!
Hi, from Argentina, thanks for the videos!!! i would like to know if the angle o the back change when the bar pas the knees..or when is the moment to change the angle of the back? in the bigining of the 2 pull??? thanks...i just found your videos and im learning a lot....the near coach the exist is more than 700km form where i live :-)
It's not just up and down. for some with flatter bodies, the cog over the head is so small, that minor back swings like Aleksey does ends up missing in front. Some ppl try to circumvent by jumping forward. bad habits snowball. Back snatchers have back problems, Igor probably didn't say you can use your abs to take the load off.

Алексей, со стартом, подрывом все понятно. Сними видео о фазе, когда штанга приземляется на нас сверху(когда падаем в сед). Вспомогательные упражнения, стабилизация, растяжка для лучшего седа, ибо, если растяжки(как я понимаю) не хватает, то даже находясь в седе штанга будет падать вперед

I couldn't do snatch. i trained Olympic weightlifting 8 months ago I could do snatch .I was busy for 8 months and no time to workout. After 8 months I did Olympic weightlifting again but my snatch got very bad .I can power snatch with wraps now but conventional snatch I can't .how to fix it pls help me I don't understand what's wrong with my snatch

When you or professional weightlifters do the heavy snatch , they lean backward that is different from what we learn the snatch pull which require us for the elbow is same line as as the torso. When leaning backward for heavy snatch, the elbow is away from torso. Can you record a video how to do heavy snatch ,especially the snatch pull. For the scarecrow snatch , can you teach this also? Thanks a lot , Oly champ!

Hehe hey i gotta ask anyone in here basically: HOW the fuck does your pubic bone survive?? I mean i am to thin?? i have like 8-9% BF 185lbs.. I almost knock my self out of hitting my pubic bone hhahaha..What am i doing wrong.. Is it me raping the barbell?? So many Q hope you can givve a short version tanx ALexey really enjoying your vids just love them..I am a technique nazi myself but snatch i just suck but i never give up..
watch his snatch tehnique videos, its all about your "last" position before moving your upper back and hitting the bar, you sholud be over the bar as longer as you can, i mean, your sholders
Ahh i see tanx man gotta try this..I just played the vid in slowmotion to see the subtitle, then it suddenly made sense..They tend to dissapear to fast sometimes hehe..
:), i had the same problem so i feel you :S just be patient, know that your brain has to relax, because he thinks when you do snatch you will hurt yourself, just cover the bar with sholders then lean back and kick and pull

В одном из его видео слышал, что приседания со штангой над головой рывковым хватом помогают развивать данные качества.

Клоков говорил еще что делает приседания с очень медленным опусканием , чтобы развить мышцы на удержание веса .

Range of motion
I believe it's the height of the bar.
Amplitude is the distance an object travels, so in a snatch pull the barbell travels a longer distance up (higher) than a clean & jerk pull.
