I was really happy with how fast some of the pieces sold and thank you so much for all the enquiries and kind messages.
The sold items were posted yesterday (one day delay on the vid) but before they went off to their new owners there was one piece in particular that I wanted to take a deeper dive on. The rare Lee 401 Prestige jacket, Japan made repro.

@@CeeAreDee well, it is black and white. Lol. Side note, back in the day they would powder actors faces with green makeup as it gave them a better complexion on screen.
Glad to have this jacket. Picked it up from an older guy in the south western US.
The jacket that is very similar but with out the cinch back was a repro of a later jacket from the mid forties (1944). It also has double needle stitching across the shoulders and chest, as apposed to the tripple needle detailing on this mid/late thirties (1937) model. The later model was made from a heavier, left hand twill denim, that when worn in became incredibly soft but no less durable. I have both jackets and love them equally.
This is probably my favourite classic denim jacket design. There are some really well thought-out refinements on the 506 formula, like how the pleat stitching frames and reinforces the button holes and the way that the cinch is riveted to the back seems. TCB do a great reproduction of this called the Catboy where they've modernised the fit by lengthening the body and slimming down the arms a bit which is well worth looking out if you like the style.

I love your videos! What do you think of sugar cane co? I just bought a pair of their 1947 jeans and a type 2 unsanforized jacket. I think its some of my favorite denim ever. Keep up the good work!👍

I found one of these brand new with tags second hand for about €50. I believe it was the exact same but without the cinch back. Sadly it was slightly too small for me and i sold it for €60 which i really regret

Really starting to warm up to Lee lately. Seem like the underdog and don’t really see them anywhere. Thinking about a 101 selvedge if I can find one used or on sale.
They come up at the end of season sales quite often. Super nice jeans that denim is great.

Good evening I come to you for advice ..I found second hand a Lee 401 Comboy Jacket 101 cotton / 43% new linen with label size M, regular cut, collection 2022, the shoulder measurements are 43 cm on the jacket taken in front, and given for 47cm on Cultizim back socket, and 57cm 58 chest, for comparison I bought on your advice (video) a BDJ05 15oz size L that fits me perfectly, Thank you, do you think the LEE might be suitable? , 1m83 82kg.
