Thanks for this, we live locally and and as you can imagine there's massive local disruption and some dismay about the damage to the landscape, but, as you say, when all the construction access roads and infrastructure is dismantled and landscaped it won't be the horrendous scarring that we see at present. Cheers.
My partner lived in a village surrounded by HS2 & EWR, it was difficult at times as only 1 road out would be open. Whilst recording the Winslow video I uploaded tonight, it was good to see the land recovering maybe 3 months after the compound moved. Sadly, it won't restore the ancient woodlands but hopefully it will not look this bad for too long after completion.
You say there are no flight restrictions in place for that area but there actually are. If you go on Drone Assist you will see a NOTAMs in place covering the route between the North Portal and Stoke Mandeville. Have you had any communication with EKFB at all? I used to fly this section until I realised the restriction was there. They weren't very happy with me flying there which is why I now concentrate on the area to the south and west of Aylesbury.
The two viaducts are just outside the red RFZ, the green tunnel is within and I got permission for that video by calling up, they’ve previously refused
@@masekwm Sounds pretty serious. I had a conversation with a surveyor who was very concerned with me flying in that area so I just stopped. Too much aggro for me.
Good film, Thanks, known this area all my life and dreadful to see the devastation, shame the Great Central line was closed...........
Great shots and narration.
Thank you :)
What an expensive mess

@@masekwm , I agree, the loss of ancient woodland can't be remedied.
I hope the croded metal look isnt the final product?
The brown is there to stay but will be largely hidden by the deck and sound barriers.

Yes have had discussions with EKFB and also approached their solicitors after being served with their injunction:

Utter stupidity by these contractors, they should be using you for publicity as HS2 official do videos once a year (alright i exaggerate)
