I say that for your convenience, but you can check any town from the map screen by pressing x and then pushing the dorsal triggers. From there you can review the materials for the deliveries, which items are available to the shops and such...! Its super useful in the early mid game I'd say, because I always want to know if I can get the town rebuilt or not without having to teleport everywhere

I never knew about the X on the map screen, that is massive! I think I have over 120 hours in this game and never knew that.
