Cheese Corn Dog
Makes 8
Ingredients
For the Batter
1 cup & 2 Tbsp all purpose flour plus more for dusting
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup cold milk
For the Cheese Corn Dogs
7 to 8 cheese sticks
1 cup panko bread crumbs
frying oil
1/3 cup sugar
Spicy ketchup (half ketchup & half sriracha)

2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
3/4 cup of milk
That is not a corn dog recipe! She forgot the corn meal!
Stormborn 86 My Mom and I always use this recipe to make these. It’s wonderful. Taste just like the ones we’ve bought before at this one store. Definitely a great recipe I don’t think you need the corn meal. That’s just my opinion. If you do have a measurement on how much corn meal please let me know but I think it’s perfect without it. I’m actually making this right now!
Sammy Kindet really cause i have been making corndogs for like forever! And this is not the recipe. Ofcourse you need the cornmeal. It’s called corndogs! The flavor of the cornmeal makes it extraordinary! This looks just like a battered whatever. One of those chinese people likes to make.

The Beit Hamikdash Panko Japanese style bread crumbs goes good with it. You can buy at Walmart

Some extra info because I just made this today! I made this using mozarella cheese sticks and the little sausages that you normally use for kolaches. Not sure if that's what I'm supposed to use. Seonkyoung makes it look easy/flawless but mine was a hot mess lol
Firstly, when I stuck the cheese on the bamboo skewer, the cheese kept breaking, I would suggest cutting a bit of it off (just like she did in the video) because it keeps it from breaking and falling off the skewer. Also once I dipped the skewers with the batter, the batter kept falling off and when I rolled it in the panko break crumbs, the bread crumbs weighed down the batter and there were parts that my entire batter fell off. The plate of bread crumbs got so chunky because it had a bunch of batter in it. It was SO MESSY and my corn dogs were falling apart! But I kinda just went with it and dipped it in the oil. In the end they turned out fine. They were not as big as hers, and also my bread crumbs looked different than hers (maybe I got the wrong kind? I just got the plain kind?). It was pretty good (like 5.8 out of 10) but hers look waaay more appealing. Still really fun to try though!! I'm not sure if I would do it again because I don't know what I would do differently to make it taste better.
This was the best!! And yes the sugar makes a difference. I try to keep or household diversified with different recipes that my husband and child will love. It won them both over. Thanks for sharing😋🥰

Went to a Korean restaurant and they had crunchy corn dusted with sugar, it’s not a lot but eventually it’s actually taste pretty good
Korean restaurants have done a disservice by not offering this delicacy.
That's because its a street food, not restaurant food

I confirm that this is THE BEST cheese dog recipe. The most delicious, crispy, and yummy. I can’t find any shops in Thailand that’s got the taste like this recipe. Since I know this recipe, I’ve never use any other recipe for corn dog ever again. Only one hard thing is to wait the batter to be set in the freezer. But trust me, it’s worth waiting!

Hi!!! I tried it. And it was a total mess, not because of the recipe. But I think you should point out the most important things.
-Batter will puff up so much in fridge
-Make sure you covered sticks with flour, if you don’t sticks won’t hold the batter.
But in general it was good, there was just some mistakes.

Well, she never said to put the batter in the fridge but she did say something about making sure to cover the cheese in the flour so the batter will stick. :)

Nuriko DB i made it today and totally love it! Im not a huge fan of sweet things like cake, sweets, choc etc. But this corndog taste really amazinggg. Seriously u have to give it a try. Spaghetti and snacks like corndog are different so in my opinion you cannot judge like that. Just like she said, some might say eww sugar? But its a must if u wanna eat korean corndog 😊

I made Korean churro corndogs yesterday (which were about the best things ever) and I wanted to make the original Korean corndogs today but realized I had no cornmeal and started weeping in despair. I refused to play this video because I didn't want to tease myself and see the delicious corndogs I won't be able to make. But I finally caved in watched the video just to learned you don't use cornmeal at all. It's like all the stars aligned so that I could make these. Thank you stars.
