You mentioned how the knowledge of a language affects the way you think, so here’s a fun fact: most of the human emotions are developed culturally, and there’s a Psychological theory that says that some emotions are only felt in some places, whilst not in others, since in those places/cultures the people developed names for those emotions, like the Brazilian emotion “saudade” or the danish (I think) “Hygge”, or the American/English “Flabbergasted”, and I just think that’s awesome

Thank you so much for taking your time to make this videos for your viewers! I have been a subscriber for quite a while now and your videos make me feel so much more productive. I have a question for you: why did you start youtube? Lots of love, Aidi
Hi Aidi and thank you so much for your lovely comment and for being here for so long! I started making videos because I like film making and just wanted to share study tips with people :)
@@RubyGranger8 Thank you so much for replying! Please come to Ireland (especially Dublin) for a holiday in the future.
Glanced something about volvelles in your notes and went to look it up. Will read more about them. Such an interesting topic to research! I think your studies are very exciting and I'm glad you enjoy them so much.
You mentioned how the knowledge of a language affects the way you think, so here’s a fun fact: most of the human emotions are developed culturally, and there’s a Psychological theory that says that some emotions are only felt in some places, whilst not in others, since in those places/cultures the people developed names for those emotions, like the Brazilian emotion “saudade” or the danish (I think) “Hygge”, or the American/English “Flabbergasted”, and I just think that’s awesome
love this vlog , please do more study with me vlogs
Its kind of motivating
I really enjoy your videos Ruby, they fill me with a sense of calm. You and I are very similar in personality. 😊
Ruby your family must be very lucky to have a girl like you , a young successful woman 🌺💖
It was really nice to watch your routine! It's inspiring to see how much motivation you have :)
It feels so cozy 😊
I really like your videos ❤
I bought the academic planner from pumpkin productivity and I can't tell you how useful it has been. It's such a lovely product! Thank you so much Ruby for the inspiration to keep going with my academics.
I love the study vlogs so much! They make me feel so motivated to study and positivity just radiates off you! I did want to ask how you wake up so early? I’m not very good with that and I was wondering if you had any tips?
i simply adore your blue outfit so much ruby that i have sent snippets of the dress to my mum to stich a similar dress for me, i so so am in awe of it :)
Thank you so much for these videos Ruby!!
You've teached me to love studying and organizing. Especially after the pandemic and during hard times ☺❤📚
I always get motivated after watching your videos! Love the quality ❤
I know this is random but if you are looking for places to explore when you go to oxford I highly recommend Christchurch meadow! It is peaceful and I truly feel that you'll enjoy it. Have fun in Oxford.
I have very fond memories of ChCh meadow as an undergrad but unfortunatley of a very nsfw variety 😂
Ruby studies relentlessly before her master’s degree’s even begun pls check up if she’s alright after it starts
It's my toxic personality trait haha! I'm just too excited honestly and want to make the most out of the teaching when I'm there :)
@@RubyGranger8 Family time is equally important so get in as much as you can before you go to Oxford. Your Mum , Dad and Sister will really appreciate the time you spend with them. I worry about you spending so much time in your room just studying. My OU website opened today and i had a brief look but am doing a few things of my own before i start in October.
Nothing toxic about that sweetheart! Bless your soul and thank you for motivating us
a) Everyone preparing for a Masters would study 'relentlessly' and b) look closer. There's an awful lot of making lists and drawing up summaries that falls into the category of 'busy' work rather than useful study.
She is also relentlessly studying wrong things. Like Paleontology 🦕 and 12 sided Octavo book formats 😂. I thought she started learning Latin recently, surely the word 'Octavo' (meaning in eighth) would ring some bells
I am glad to hear that there will be a new yearly planner, albeit undated. :)
Ruby, you are very well-organized for you Master's degree. It is good because you are less likely to fall behind in class.
We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.
I love that
You should read On Parchment by Bruce Holsinger if you're into the materiality of texts :) there's even a chapter on Shakespeare!
i am so happy for you ruby
Ruby, don't you have any means of cooling your room? How many days per year you experience such heat? By the way the hot air usually accumulate upstairs, a room on the second floor definitely sounds like a hot place to stay during peak hours ☀️
Love your videos so much ! ❤❤
thank you so much!
I just started my masters in Ecology!!! I hope you will enjoy your masters as much as I am doing right now :)
You are really into the book hamnet I think I will read that too and tell you how is it later 😊
A girl in my class once asked me if I knew Ruby and told me I reminded her so much of her. I definitely think I am quite different from Ruby (I would love to be this organised but sadly am definitely not ahaha) but it was one of the nicest compliments I've ever received and think about it often :)
You are only foreign youtuber i see. You have me motivated to start studying. Thank you very much❤
Ruby! Would you ever do a what I eat in a week // Vegan meal ideas? I love the feel of your videos and I'd love to see some vegan meal plans
After a long day I was happy to see your video ❤
I hope you like it :)
so inspiring :) Thank you!
I just finished hamnet!! It was breathtaking
I genuinely would love to know the recipes you use especially for baking. I am having a lot of trouble with baking vegan deserts and you seem to have a host of recipes to use. Also that green tea rice with curry does sound delicious!
I need a video on how you balance studying and socialising during term
