Thank you for your explanation of how you see the videoclip and what story comes to your mind, actually it make me look closer to what they want to tell us. I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and I had mixed feelings about Dion and Mia and this song. The two of them are not famous in the Netherlands, so I was very sceptical. I hoped for something totally different this year, but I like the song, it sounds familiar to me, but thats because Duncan Laurens is a co writer of the song and he chose Mia and Dion because he knew them and thought there voices would sound great together and they really do! They didn't know each other before. Just a little backround story about how it came to this Duo. I have to say, it grows very easily on me, I heard it 2 times yesterday and this morning I had that chores in my mind when I woke up. Thats telling to me. I hope the song will grow on others to and we will at least make it to the finals.

A mí esta canción me encanta.
Al principio, a pesar de que me gustaba, no la sentía tan fuerte para la competencia, la sentí como que algo le faltaba. Luego a la segunda o tercera vez que la oí, me dí cuenta de su potencial. Es una canción que en directo crecerá mucho, sobretodo en esa parte del final, cuando ambos cantan juntos y acaba la canción, en esa parte en directo ellos le van a dar más potencia y sonará mucho mejor. Además de que es un vídeo musical, aún no sabemos qué puesta en escena van a hacer. Así que yo creo que como es una canción que en directo crece y mejora, si le dan una puesta en escena correcta, quedará en buen lugar y sorprenderá a quienes no le tienen tanta fe. No la veo como una canción que yo crea que ganará, pero sí creo que tiene más potencial del que la gente cree, y que quedará en buen lugar.

Answer to your questions: No they are no stars ( yet) in The Netherlands. They are not a band but 2 singer songwriters. We did ‘t know those two before. Its a qualitysong you need to hear it a couple of times to really love it ❤

The Netherlands tends to send artists that are not well known (yet) I believe it has to do with the past where an artists career could fail/tank if they didn't end in the top 10-ish and it created this stigma where better known stars will not risk their career to maybe get the honor of winning (and let's face it ESC has grown so much winning is almost like visiting a casino, chances are pretty slim)
Although "failing" at the ESC is no longer a career killer, people are still afraid (my guess) -of course there are exceptions (Think of "De Toppers" who went to Russia years ago they didn't really get far, but they were great artists before the event and still sell out the venue every time they perform *although the composition of the group has slightly changed, that's common these days right?)
