Why does the weight need to spin?
+maynardr6 the piston floats in a column of oil and spinning it reduces any likely chance of friction between the cylinder and piston.
Theres no friction between the piston and the cylinder unless dirt is in the system.You spin the piston to get an stable reading and some of them will spin for a long time.
