This look has grown on me. I hated it at first, but the more I see it, the more I like it.
Same as me. I think it's a look most ppl nowadays will repel at first sight, but maybe in few years to come, it might not seem so radical at all. Cars with daring lines actually age better than safely designed ones. Look at Sonata from 2011 and compare that to many other cars that had conservative design back then. I think Sonata still looks great, even better than later models.
I get 29 city and 39 consistently in my 17 Elantra doing 80 mph on the freeway. That's doing the actual math, not going by the computer. 54.000 miles and 0 problems , 0 issues. Like it fine.
Hyundai designers got inspired by the first Tomb Raider game
I love seeing the little ducklings cross the road in the background when filming in this location.
I think it is more aggressive in the front. are you really offended by the front? you use the term several times.
I have a 2019 Base with the 6 speed manual. I put the 17 inch Kona wheels on it to upgrade from the 15 inch steel wheels, big increase in handling, getting 32-33 city/mixed. For the selling price i have no complaints and actually very impressed with Hyundai RELIABILITY which is more than you can say for German cars like VW. I previously had a 2017 Elantra, i like the rear looks of the 2019 much better, front possibly the same, great car in my opinion, Hyundai even sent me a nice book and pen combo after the purchase!!!!!!!!
Just paid off my 2017 Elantra. Treated me so good never ever had any problems.
Yo i just got a 2017 limited, im fuckin in love with that thing
@@MrDbzguy right? And gad is never a problem. Love it man.
I have the 2018 sport. What a way to literally murder a good design. #ripgoodelantra
I think that consumers these days always want change when it comes to cars. When they get the change, the first thing people say is “you shouldn’t have changed it.” You can’t please everyone 😂
Lol he seems soooooooo annoyed to review this car. I don't blame him🤣🤣
I love when a car stands out. This is one of them!
In a good way, not a bad way. This looks weird
Just bought a 2019 Elantra Limited. (Traded in my 2012 Elantra Coupe with 156,000 miles! Best car I have ever owned.) Love the new look.
For how much please?
I agree. The previous gen looked far better.
Joe Capozziello I think the 2019 headlights looks futuristic compare to the boring 2018 one
I still drive the 2013 elantra, and love that version the most
Did he just compare this car to a voltorb XDD
This car journalist....is the bomb....I enjoy ALL of his reviews!!!!!!!
I agree with you, I actually bought the 2018 instead of the 19 recently when I went for my new car because of the headlights and taillights.
I did the same thing when I found out about the redesign for the '19 model. The '18 front and rear looks so much better.
One of my neighbors recently got the new Elantra. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think it actually looks good!
Anything new "looks nice"
Drinking Game: take a shot every time he says "unremarkable"
Every time he says "I dont particularly like"
I much prefer the sharp-lined look of this redesign over the amorphous blob that was the previous design. Never considered the Elantra before but I am intrigued by its futuristic look and cheap price tag!
I really love this design and even better then the previous model. I think they've done a fantastic job on its redesign.
I love it when he twiddles on the hard plastic.
I DIED when he was making that turn and the tires were squealing XD
