I’m also losing VERY slow and was on a plateau for a couple months. I’m losing again finally I decided to stop electrolytes daily and see what happens . Hang in there
Just because the number on the scale isn't going down doesn't mean you're not losing weight. Sometimes, extra cellular water retention occurs when you lose fat. The adipose tissue is replaced by water temporarily. To help reduce this water retention, monitor your sodium intake and include 45 minutes of resistance training. Over time, the water will dissipate, and the scale will reflect your progress. Additionally, limiting carbohydrate intake can also aid in reducing water weight.
Hello. So glad I found you on UA-cam. I am also on Wegovy. I am on my 11th week and I’ve lost 23 pounds. I have done real well with .50. My doctor has agreed to keep me on this dosage for the next 3 months. The two side effects I deal with on a regular basis are nausea and constipation. I take Zofran for the nausea and Miri lax for constipation. I’ve also had to use a suppository to go. Sorry if that’s TMI but it may be helpful to someone else to know that it works. I’m excited to follow your journey. Valerie.
@@valerie718 Thank you so much Valerie I’m glad that you’re having success so far on your Wegovy journey. I love hearing from others it’s very inspiring and it helps to know that others are having success.
Good job adjusting. Reminder to all: Zepbound/Mounjaro/Tirzepatide are proven in clinical trials to work better/ provide more weight loss: they work on glp1 AND gip receptors while Wegovy/Ozempic/Semaglutide only has the glp1. Also, you absolutely Have to eat enough protein & track your foods. Again, good to hear that you're making lifestyle changes. .5lbs to 2lbs is considered healthy weightloss...sounds like you are well on your way🎉❤
Zepbound lost 32 pounds in first 6 weeks. Slowed after that but keeps coming down. Did 2.5mg 4 weeks. 8 weeks 5.0mg. 7.5mg starts in a week. 6ft guy. 239 SW. current 205. Goal 180.
This is such important for folks to understand. Keep going. Work on your healthy habits. Don't worry about what everyone else is losing. 0.5-2lbs per week is good progress. Not everyone is a super responder. I'm happy for those who are, but slow and steady loss is not a failure. Thanks for this thoughtful and informative vlog post.
Hi, just started week 7 on Wegovy ( 2nd week on .5) and I've lost 7 lbs. I've averaged about 1lb pound a week. I expected it to be slow because I'm 61 ( today🙂) and my metabolism has slowed down tremendously, I am insulin resistance. However, I'm keeping this in perspective, I AM LOSING WEIGHT, so I'm very happy. This works. I plan to stay on .5 for two or maybe 3 months...time will tell. Thanks for sharing your insight and research. Keep it up, you will reach your goal. Waiting to hear your feedback on the second week of Factor meals-hoping you have another successful week of weight loss. Just subscribed.
@@kathyw605 Thank you so much it’s very encouraging to hear your perspective and outlook. Your view that at least we’re losing is the only way I can stay positive on this journey. I keep saying thank God I’m not where I use to be and I actually do feel so much better.
My experience with Wegovy was not good I had constant nausea. I had a gallbladder attack probably unrelated, but I was very sick and then I stopped the drug and then months later I’ve now started Zepbound with no side effects and double the weight loss. 25 pounds down in 10 weeks on Zepbound 2.5 plus tons of lifestyle, changes and exercise
Thank you for sharing it’s helpful for others to know that as we’re on this journey we might have to make individual adjustments 😉 such as changing medication what might work for some might not work for others.
I’m using a glucose monitor as well. Lucky I decided to get one because upon my doctor visit, after they used my phone info to hook up readings by my doctor, she saw that I was hypoglycemic several days out of the week. I knew something was wrong because the alarm would go off and I’d have to get up and turn my phone off. The Metformin she had me on was making me sick, not well.
Will do I’ll definitely talk about me wearing my CSM in an upcoming video. I can’t tell you that I do like it because getting an understanding of my blood sugar and what impacts me and how foods impact me during the day has definitely been a benefit.
Also, thanks for the info. You’re the second person that I’ve heard say that possibly cutting back on electrolytes can help weight loss stalls while taking a GLP.
I’m finding out that there are quite a few people who are slow responders and they actually are having to potentially go up to the higher doses to see results
Anyone else having slow weight loss while taking Wegovy (Semaglutide) Ozempic Zepbound (Tirzepatide) Mounjaro? If so, what things have you implemented to help speed up your metabolism ?
Yes thank you I definitely will because I can see how the Berberine could lower your glucose even more when combined any GLP medication since they also lower your blood sugar. I am definitely tracking my blood glucose with my CGM.
Been on Mounjaro over a year, no weight loss until just recently and not much is coming off. However my A1C is 5.3. I have a lot of inflammation in my body and that may have something to do with my weight loss.
Thank you for commenting this really helps others know that they’re not alone on this journey. Seeing that your A1c number have come down is great news 😊
I’m in the same boat sister for me anyway I thought I was gonna lose faster. I’ve done eight weeks worth of shots on Friday and three days. I will start 1 mg. Hearing some people have better weight loss at 1 mg. I really cut back on what I’m eating so what you’re saying today about eating more calories or tracking your calories probably is the same boat I’m in. I won’t stay on it for very much longer if I don’t see results. The 500 dollar a month cost factor is adding up!
@@debraseguin18 Yes for sure I do very much do understand. My sister has been on Zepbound for almost 12 weeks with very little weight loss paying $500 plus out of pocket and her doctor told her that she’s more than likely a slow responder. Hopefully, the higher dosage will be a lot better for those of us who are slow responders. Keep us posted on your results of being on the 1 mg.
Yeah. Wegovy gets more weight loss at higher doses. It gives more cap off than Mon/Zep/Oze. The higher dose you get, the more you’ll catch up to that faster weight loss you’re used to! :)
Thank you I was only giving my comparison of when I stayed on the lowest dose of Mounjaro for three months versus being on the lower doses of Wegovy. This is only my discussion of my experience, Again thank you for your comment.

So true! My weight loss is extremely slow

@@lifestyleforlivingover50 thank you for saying. I actually just moved up to 12.5 ❤️

Berberine.
Thanks I just actually ordered some 😉
Make sure to do your research because my doctor said that I shouldn’t take it in combination with Ozempic

Taking mounjaro 12.5 and still slow.
