On the Cedar River in Iowa. 17 foot square stern canoe with a 4hp Mercury motor. It runs 11.5mph with 150 pounds of sand bags in front. Gets in tight places that no other boat can go. Great setup.
@@Ralphcanoeingadventures very quiet motor eh, didn't sound like you had it going full throttle either. Think a 6hp would've done the job? I have a 6hp and looking to buy that exact aluminum boat
my favorite canoe - can paddle, motor - or rig sali
I agree. Does all I want it to do. Loads of fun in it.
What kind of canoe is it
@zz4camaro69 Grumman. It on the side in most of my videos. 17ft
Nice! How did you not hit bottom? lol
Can't get up stream at all?
Yup. If you look to the left of the video. You'll see a small sream with rushing water. With a little prayer and luck. I made it up that way.

I could have made it. Buy I didn't want to hit the lower unit on those big rock.
@@kyleoutdoors7914 The 5 HP would make it with no problem. It will go 12 mph. In this video. I was just at an idle. Maybe 1/8 open.
