Urban sketching ROCKS! We have over 3400 people in our San Francisco Bay Area! We go out a few times a week. MARC is a good friend of mine from the Urban Sketching Symposiums. love painting with him.. thanks for posting this wonderful video! Eileen
Thank you so much for this video. Really liked the idea of the roof tops and mountain shapes analogy. I am used to painting landscapes and find urban sketching a challenge, so it helps to see city scapes in those terms. Yes, plein air is super hard in the cold . In Ottawa the Urban Sketchers group meet indoors in the museums that have large windows and they paint the urban scenes that way. Thanks again. Suzi 🙋🏼♀️🌻🎨
Nice to see you expose yourself to people you admire and let them teach us all something. Excellent video. Will want to watch the longer version, too. They are getting better and better. The insertion of bits of music really adds something. It's interesting to see him using a beat up brush and talk about replacing his brushes. I'm struggling with finding the right brushes for me, small ones especially. Montreal is a beautiful city!
Beautiful demo! While this is not a direct watercolor on paper, the results are very good! He or you should have told what paper, what sized paper, which colors were used for this demo!
Angela, 40 below??? Please tell me that it is not possible for it to get that cold!!. We rarely get below the 30's. I enjoyed this video tremendously. Thank you for introducing Marc! I might have to put one of his books on my Christmas list.
Thank you so much Angela & Marc for sharing this. I always enjoy learning from each of you!

Wonderful video. Big thank you to Marc and Angela.
Nice instruction and sharing. I like that she asks questions.
Hey MARC so fun to see you watercoloring! Guess it all comes back as soon as the brush is in your hand.. thanks! Eileen
