I smiled when I saw your description of your ceramic palette. I have 2 "palettes" from 2 chocolat fondue plates. They are very handy indeed. I love the moody colours you created by mixing the 3 bold colours.
Perfect timing - I just picked up magenta and cyan to try out with yellow as primaries - now to grab a cup of coffee and settle down with your video. I always learn so much and you are a joy to watch.
Hi Angela, I liked this video; it is a perfect reminder PLUS a great introduction to Color Theory. My eye is definitely drawn to the more moody and muted colors. Thank you.
Great tutorial, Angela! I love using a limited palette and triads. The muted colors allow for a burst of more pure color in a particular area or object so the eye will be drawn to a place the artist would like (focal point). I tend to use more vibrant colors in general (partly because I'm new to using color period, my past artistic attempts have been black & white - ink, pencil and charcoal) so I go a little crazy with color. I'll keep your ideas in mind and experiment more with neutrals.
I have tons of paint because as a newbie I thought I had to have them. Watching you now for some months, I am going to basics and starting to learn really how to mix and finding out what gives me what. The only thing I have a problem with I can't reproduce those colors!
I'm crazy about the rust and greens you created in the 2nd. WOWEE! Mixing color is what keeps me up at night (seriously--Lol). Can you tell me where you bought that glorious square ceramic palette? It's perfect! Thank you, Angela! Fanna Turano Denver, CO

Was wonderful to watch and learn! Thank you 😃👍
Hi Angela! Wonderful tutorial about mixing watercolors and avoiding the dreaded Neon Town by creating neutrals to balance those brights.

Just marvelous, always love your brush strokes... Thanks for your sharing!!! Your lessons are so interesting and ful of good vibrations for me!
I don't have any Blick Watercolors so I really enjoyed this tutorial to see their colors and vibrancy. Thank you.
Beautifully muted colors from that triad. The “neon” colors are gorgeous, too.
