I absolutely LOVED this episode...the vibe set with the natural elements and most simple but beautiful items were put together perfectly. I love how often you've inspired me on many episodes to "shop from my own home" and to see my bowls, vases and even a pretty stick that I've picked up on a nature walk differently!
Thank you! 💚
Agreed! I have a lot more things to use than I ever thought.
@@PAllenSmith you're welcome...it's the truth!
Oh my! What a treat! My favorite gardener and nature lover, P. Allen Smith, and my favorite floral designer and arranger, J. Schwanke! Thank you so much to you both for making our planet Earth beautiful! Save the Green!!!
Aunt Jamie's hair is gorgeous.
Jay is just right on with the come back of the Carnation!!!! A beautiful forgotten 🌸 flower that smells heavenly and long lasting, so glad it’s back!
The mini variety is awesome and the breeding of the varieties, has beautiful colors!!
As a retired florist of 38 years, you can’t beat it’s longevity! Oh I’m in hopes the Colorado greenhouses come back to life, just like the good ole days!!😊
Thanks for sharing!!
A wonderful feeling from beginning to the end of this video.
What I like is that you can use these ideas not just for the holidays 😉, but year round!
I am so delighted that you are on Utube and have added your episodes over the years. It makes it so easy to refer back on subjects and use the knowledge. Thank you.
I enjoy having flora in the house. The pine combs and carnations looked so smart.
Everything looked stunning... However, the highlight of this video was your Great Aunt Jamie! What an incredible beautiful woman! I don’t know how old she was but, she just looked absolutely beautiful! I can’t imagine how gorgeous she must have been back in her heyday! Also, what an ingenious idea with her “Ingredient Bags”.
Hello Mr.Smith,, I used to watch you on my local PBS channel some time back,, I just found this ch#this morning!!!👍👍🤗🤗,, & I cant wait for more,,-- thank you for your wealth of of knowledge that you share with all the viewers over all these yrs🙂👍

I like the idea of using red carnations, together with natural greens and pine cones. Carnations last a long time, smell good and are beautiful.
I love the plant information and history behind the materials used in this episode. The segment format keeps the ideas moving along…perfect❤️
I haven’t seen your videos in my feed for months!🤦🏾Oh, well, now I have some videos to binge watch.
I had never thought about Rosemary wreath. Thank you for the idea!
Your florist is wonderful sharing his process and the decorating is lovely
His name is J. Schwanke and he is not his florist. J. Scwanke is one of the top florists in USA and worldwide. P. Allen enjoys inviting famous people to his shows.
Everything looked so lovely, the hollies, the arrangements and the cookies delicious, inspiring. Thank you😀

Love this , so beautiful, natural to decorate, I learned so much,
WOW, That was amazing. The cookie recipe us similar to an Italian cookie called Cocoons, I’m going to make some maybe today, I have to get someone to bring me some cornflakes and canola oil. The Italian cookies are dusted in powder sugar which I’m hoping to make this recipe in a minute. I love this video and I’m glad it popped up today. I needed some cheering up and my husband has invited a small army for dinner. Thank you for sharing. I am going to move my Rosemary outside.
Oh how happy you have made me by starting Christmas videos. Everything looked gorgeous and the cookies delicious.

Thank you so much!!! I'm ready to decorate for Christmas. Making notes and making plans. Awesome episode!!!
Allen your home is always so beautiful. Thank Aunt Jamie for the delicious cookie recipe and tip on packaging added ingredients in baggies.
I also do that for breakfast muffins. Premeasure flour, salt and baking soda in one bowl. Pop on lid then sugars in another bowl. Makes for easy assembly.
Beautiful festive episode, Allen thank you! 🎄 As with all your episodes watching the lovely outdoors is so refreshing. Greatly enjoyed the holly and red carnations. "Whatever things are lovely . . . meditate on these things."
The cookies look so good! Not to mess with Aunt Jamie's recipe but perhaps some red and green sprinkles LOL ☺️❤️💚

New to your channel!
This video is so inspiring! 🙌
There’s a typo in the recipe. Sugar. Sorry, 37 years of teaching spelling in elementary school! 😊Love your videos!
How beautiful! Question. How long do carnations last in the floral foam?
Hi Allen,
Loved this episode! Could you spell out the varieties of holly that you showed on the show.
Thank you very much.
Great video as always.
I have a huge holly tree in my back yard but it hasn’t create any berries yet. Do I need to plant another near by? We purchased the house two years ago and this tree never bloomed or had berries on and I have a few bee hives in our property so pollination wouldn’t be the problem. Any advice would be appreciated.
Where can I purchase the lovely natural string that is wired used for the topiaries and to make the nest? Great series!
I love the cookies ...how long will they keep? Can I make them and freeze them 'til Christmas?
I must have missed the name of Aunt Jamie's cookies...anyone know? They look wonderful!
How do you preserve the flowers in the vase ?
How long will each of these stay alive/green without water? Like the Rosemary wreath?
I do professional gift wrapping and Christmas decorating. I love using live rosemary, pine needles, holly, & berries, but I’m always worried about how far in advance I can wrap with those. I usually only use live pieces with my last minute customers the week of Christmas.
Your rosemary wreath makes me wonder if I can start using it sooner and it still look and smell great Christmas Day??
And, THANK YOU! Everything is beautiful, as usual!!
How do u keep your Rosemary from getting too woody on the bottom?
Holly trees bite.
Just found you...love❤

Everything's going to hell in a handbasket. Buy yourself some Shiba Inu Bitcoin. So you have some money that's not in the dollar if it when the dollar is devalued.
Please no more foam!
