Im scared to hope for anything better because I've failed so many times I have all these blessings I'm engaged were buying a home I was homeless for 2 years and addicted to drugs for most my life I'm scared seeing devils everywhere I'm fighting and holding on hoping my hope is justified so I don't have to be scared anymore

I creep down a cold stone stair well into the depths of a large house; Seeking for the wicked and foul demon that sleeps. I approach the old wooden door to a room I once earlier was chained and bound to; the delicacy of a snore rumbles out. I peek in to find a large lump on the floor; giant horns rose up from all over the beasts head. The smell of rotten eggs and aged corpse burns through my nostrils once more, reminding me of the memories. A pool of tears lay around it from the numerous victims it devoured. I was its last victim in which it failed to destroy. It held me for years; constant shame and blame. I creep in with my sword high. I know that once this is done a swarm of them will come to avenge their leader. Suddenly a transformation occurs, the face of my daughter is before me.
“You would hurt your own child!” It screeched and snickered.
“You’re not my daughter, no matter how much you claim it” I raised my sword above my head with my fingers gripping tightly to the hilt. Bracing myself for the impact of the blade piercing through the tough exterior. The demon is weak from a lack of light absorption; having no host to bleed dry. I watch as it curls into a ball getting ready for the fierce penetration of the cold sturdy blade.
“You have done enough to innocent people. You’ve stepped on too many, to get to the position you were in. I would kill you but that’s too easy. You deserve to suffer for the sufferings you’ve caused. So I’ll wound you and leave you here to rot in the dungeon you used to torment souls. Their souls rest here and will rain down upon you, reminding you how you chose to be wicked. You’ll remember every good deed of them.”
I slide the dagger into the side of creature and it shrieks in agony.
“ I will make you feel every slice of their flesh you took. And your team will learn how to be more discerning of the people you try to impose on. Thinking that just because someone is kind and generous they are easy to devour. You’ll think about the years you held me here; when I actually never did anything wrong to you. You will make your alience tremble in fear of the energy I carry being anywhere”
