Thank you so much! I just bought a 22 string beautiful walnut harp, my first love! And now i am practicing along and it works! You explain things clear but also make me feel not foolish 😄 thank you its starting to sound like a beautiful melody. Is there a simple carol to play? 🙋🏻♂️
Hi there, sorry I missed replying to this comment. Thanks for your kind contribution 😃 For an easy Christmas Carol I would recommend “What Child is This”, which you can learn from a course similar to this video on my website. If it’s your first time getting one of my courses you can get it free with a free trial 😃💕 There’s also a free workshop for beginners happening in January, maybe you would be interested?
This has inspired me to give it my all. Second day learning it and getting much faster. Gives me peace when I play it and I feel accomplished! Thank you for making this for everyone to try! 🥰
We have a custom made harp with 29 strings. My question is we three white stings away from your body then the C starts. For tuning what should those three strings before the C string? I am trying to learn how to play and I what to much I am tuning it to the correct note. Thank you Al
Just count down the musical alphabet to work out the notes below the C 😊 The one directly below will be B, and then A, and your lowest note will be G 👍🏻
That's so exciting! Congratulations on your new harp 😃 You can absolutely still learn from our courses! Just be aware that we exclusively refer to lever changes in the courses and sheet music. But many of our pieces with lever changes can easily be adapted to pedal harp!
Hi Christy-Lyn, I saw you playing a L&H Odgen before. I like to start playing harp this summer. I have never played a string instrument before. I really like the sound of Odgen (deep and warm) but I'm afraid, that the tension is too high for a beginner. I live in a country with no harp shop, so I can't rent or try. Any advice? I really appreciate your help and opinion. I just don't want to buy one and then I can't use it. Thanks so much in advance.
Hi Rosana. Probably what you would enjoy the most would be a harp with folk gut strings. I know of a few, but they are all going to be pricier than the Ogden because the are handmade by folk harp makers. What comes to mind are Thormahlen harps and Starfish harps. I’ve really enjoyed trying folk gut harps from both harp makers!

Hii
I love your lessons but I now have a pedal harp... Can I still use your sheets or sign up to your course?
